In 2017, I bought a brand new Mazda6 from Cochran Mazda in Wexford. At ~80,000 mile mark, the entire engine stopped working and I almost crashed when it died out on Interstate 279 with my two daughters in the sedan. Currently, I'm out $3,800 in out-of-pocket repairs for a new engine. It had just been to a lube shop as well (plenty of oil supporting the engine). I left three messages (at Cochran Automotive HQ in Monroeville and at Cochran Mazda Wexford) for David King and / or Jamie Birsic or any Mazda representative of theirs. They didn't return my calls (big surprise), until I started vocally complaining. Upon explaining what had happened, they seemed to have cared less and gave me no real solutions. In fact, eventually I had spoken with David King, he had a smart @ss attitude about the entire process. BTW, don't take all of the positive reviews to heart, I used to work in automotive reputation management and their sales people and crew are coached-up to get 5-star reviews upon making the sale. IOW, the positive reviews aren't from customers that have owned a car for longer than 30 minutes. They are loaded and might as well be considered fake. It's the same with those video recordings, where you see the "happy" customer walking out the door. If you want honesty, dive into their negative reviews. You'll find the truth there and always. Not so much with the loaded, positive reviews. Don't ever buy a Mazda or any vehicle from Cochran Automotive, that includes all of their rooftops (locations), not just Cochran Mazda (Wexford). Having purchased multiple vehicles from them in the past, they pretty much treat their customers the same across the board. They all have the same "we could care less, it's a you problem now" attitude. I know my growing kids and wife will never do business with a Rob Cochran entity again. There's that, tisk, tisk... I'll go to Baierl, even though I know it's owned by Lithia (out of the Pacific NW). Here come the pathetic, generalized apologies and rebuttal that mean very little at this point and are more than likely produced by a 3rd party, reputation management vendor or agency. read more

My husband and I took the day off work last Friday to go car shopping. I have had 3 black sedans my entire life so switching to an SUV was going to be a big change for me and I did not have high hopes for the day. We test drove 3 cars that day. When we arrived at #1 Cochran Mazda in North Hills we told the salesman John Huebner we were not sure what we wanted to purchase and were just looking around. Some salesman at other dealerships have avoided dealing with us because of this but John gave went over the Mazda CX-5 in detail with us and set us up for a test drive that day. When we got back from the test drive he took more time to explain different aspects of the car with us as well as what they could offer for my trade in which was more than I had expected! Mazda was also offering great deals in September so he told us to think about it and if we wanted to proceed we could start the process online that evening which was so convenient. Needless to say we ended up falling in love with the Mazda and filled out the paperwork online. John called me the next morning and was able to get us in with finance and we drove home with our new Mazda CX-5 the next afternoon! John was so helpful & so nice to deal we are so happy with our choice and will definitely be choosing #1 Chochran again for our future purchases. read more

We are not a couple who buys cars too often, we don't lease, and when we buy a car we hold on to it for many years. When we finally decided it was time to say goodbye to our faithful van, we throughly researched new vehicles and we decided on a Mazda CX5. We felt the value of a Mazda was unmet. 3 years ago, I leased my Mazda CX-5 at Cochran Mazda Wexford and It was the easiest car leasing experience I've had. Everyone I dealt with was extremely friendly and willing to make sure I got the deal that fit my budget. G.G definitely went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable and happy with my new lease. Even signing the paperwork was pressure free and pleasant. I saw the 4th of July advertisement as I was looking for 3 rows SUV and I stopped by at Cochran Mazda Wexford to test drive the new Mazda CX-9. I was impressed with the new CX-9 performance and style so then I decided to get the new Mazda CX-9. Afterwards, I saw G.G at the showroom and he still remembered me and my family after we met 3 years ago. I explained to G.G I wanted the CX-9 but I still have 2 more months lease on my CX-5. I recently bought a new Mazda at Cochran Mazda North Hills. It was my first experience buying a new car and the team there could not have been more helpful. My first visit I worked with Thomas who accompanied me on a test drive in a CX-5 which I new was the model I wanted. He explained the different models and their benefits. After my first visit they presented me with some options of new 2023 models and their availability. We chose one of the models and then waited for it to arrive. Once it arrived we went to the dealership and got familiar with my new vehicle. I worked with Matt in the finance department to get my plan worked out. He was super transparent about our options for warranties, payments and each document we went through. Overall the whole experience from start to finish was great! I'm really unhappy with the customer service I received at #1 Cochran Mazda North Hills after I bought a used car on January 22. The listing said the car had all new tires, but it soon was evident that I did not get what I paid for. After just one week, one tire was leaking air (down to 13 pounds) and upon closer inspection, a second tire had at least three separate cuts or cracks in the sidewall rubber. I brought my car back to Cochran and was told both of these "new" tires should be replaced, but the best they could offer was one replacement tire. They suggested I buy the second replacement tire even though I had JUST PAID for what was supposed to be a car with new tires. To make matters worse, the trade-in vehicle that Cochran offered to tow from my house sat on my property for MORE THAN FIVE WEEKS after signing it over to them. It took three follow-up calls to my sales rep and additional calls to two different managers before action was taken. Once they got my money my satisfaction as a customer ceased to matter. read more

After a horrible, and I mean horrible experience at Schults Ford in Wexford #1 cochran came to save the day! Jamie Birsic was a fantastic sales man, not pushy like those guys at Ford! He knew exactly what I wanted even when I changed my mind about 200 times. He found me the perfect cx-5 and I am soooooo happy with my decision to dump the garbage Ford escape and go with a Mazda! As far as I know, these guys got the best prices in the Pittsburgh market, and their trade-in estimate is firm and could be done completely online. I had the opportunity to have Dominic Hussion handle my sales. The whole process was seamless, except for a little and innocent mistake on financing. Communication was excellent. Dominic knows the right words to say to customers, and he responds to emails and texts within an hour. Asides from going to the office to test drive, every other thing was handled online. Cochran's service department is really top notch. I had just gotten 4 new tires and an alignment. I was driving at night when I rounded a turn and hit a concrete curb very hard. I severely damaged 2 tires. The next day I called Cochran and they said to bring it in. Their Express Service technician would look at it. I was in and out in about an hour with 2 new tires and an alignment. Plus, their road hazard insurance covered the cost of the aligmment! The nicest part is, I always feel like I'm being treated like a member of the family. read more
