Times are wrong. Went. Wasn't open even though it said it was open and you can't even read the sign. I don't even know if this actual business is open so don't go here.

Fantastic service and delicious food in a little shop run by a nice family. The pork belly bowl had such a nice balance of flavor and fat over a bed of rice with the perfect amount of kimchi and sauce and the green onion topping was chefs kiss. The dumplings in the ddeobokki was flavorful and meaty, the rice noodles were a fantastic firm texture and the sauce was sweet and spicy- it was my first time trying this dish and I'll definitely be ordering it again! Parking lot is small but worth the wait if needed - call ahead and so it's an easy pick up

Solid spot in the valley! Amazing flavors and generous portions! Its a mom and pop business and the owners are so nice and welcoming. Just be mindful of their store hours, theyre closed on Sunday and Monday. I have tried their bowls and rritos and they are both delicious! Its so filling, each serving can easily become 2 meals for the day. Hoping for the best for this business!

So glad we found this place. It's a mom & pop shop with the friendliest & nicest owners. Ordered the burrito bowl, pork belly bowl & fried chicken. It's simple, yet they are all so delicious. Their Serrano pepper "chilli" is soo good, it gives you a quick kick yet it adds flavor. Will definitely come back whenever I'm in the area.

Finally got to try Maru Bowl after passing by it forever! I checked the reviews and I had to bookmark it. I got the kimchi bulgogli ritto to go. The restaurant is nice and clean and plenty of seating. Really cool and relaxing ambiance. The service was nice. I believe the owner was there and he was very welcoming and friendly. The ritto took a while to make but it was okay. The ritto tasted good but I would've like more flavor and more bulgogli. It was a little smaller than I anticipated. I would've get it again though and I also want to try their bulgogli bowl.

Can't believe i've been working next to this place nearly a year and have only stopped in to get ONEEE bowl. But oh, what a bowl it was! The pork belly bowl is crazy good. Get it with the spicy pepper and take a bite with a little bit of everything! The pork belly is tender, crispy, bite-sized unctiousness that feels rich and juicy and gets balanced perfectly with their kimchi and spicy pepper. I looooove kimchi, and next time i'll be getting extra from them because it's really good. Their mandu is also delicious. I eat them way too fast and get sad when they're gone. Their side of fried shrimp is good, but I wouldn't get it on its own again. Probably in a bowl if I can ever bring myself to try anything other than the pork belly bowl. The service is friendly and efficient, a sweet mom and pop shop! The area inside is clean and a nice amount of tables. I did takeout, though. Can't wait to come again!

A cute place (maybe seats about 12 to 14 people), in a small strip center. My friend and I had the Bulgogi (beef) and Fried Chicken Bowls with rice, and the Mandu - pork and chicken dumplings. Great flavor! I imagine this is what Korean Street Food is like. The owners - are very nice as well. A great experience!

delicious hidden gem with kind people! food is so bomb, got the bulgogi bowl and man it's great, it has this creamy sauce between the rice and bulgogi and it's so insanely good

    Proud of my country U.

Wonderful traditional Korean food by the nicest Korean couple you will ever meet. Food is so delicious that we keep coming back multiple times a month. Laid back environment. Friendly service every time. Note that they are on break from 3-4:30 pm, so time your food runs!

    Tteok-bokki with fish cake. Yum!!!!

They allow a certain amount of people inside and have a no-touch card payment option if you credit/debit card has that feature. Other than that, they wear masks, offer hand sanitizer and make sure that the place isn't beyond the appropriate capacity.

K Food Village is small with a casual but comfortable vibe, perfect for a meal with some family or friends. The food is immaculate. Came with a small group so got to sample a couple dishes. The galbi combo was pretty good, the soup was a delicious hit with its seafood base. The kimchi fried rice was excellent, genuinely one of the best I've had and I finished the entire plate myself. The japchae was good too -- strong sesame flavors with some heat from the pepper, making it very filling and tasty. Our meal came with small banchan / sides of kimchi, spinach/veg, and cucumbers which were great addition to the already fulfilling meal. Parking lot is tight, but we didn't have trouble finding parking on a Sunday afternoon. Plaza is a bit rundown, but I didn't feel unsafe. Definitely coming back here. Highly recommend everyone gives this place a shot!

It was virtually nonexistent. Btw I was one of two tables seated and not a takeout order came in the entire time I was here. First with the good. The main course was spicy pork. Tasted good and on its own would merit a 4 star review. The banchan was below mediocre at best. I always order refill of kimchi but couldn't even eat the paltry amount put before me. It tasted like it was marinated in ketchup and not fermented. Despite requesting it, my ice water came without ice, water or a glass. I would be a little bit more understanding if the waitress was running around, but literally after taking my order she went to another table and sat down. Waitress then brought me the wrong order!!! How is that even possible when there was only one other table. Thinking it was my spicy pork I put my chopstick in (which I had already used for the banchan) when she actually returned to my table and took it from me and said that was spicy chicken and gave it to the other table.

Location 4 stars: Northeast corner of Roscoe and Topanga Canyon Boulevards in Canoga Park,…read moreCalifornia. Plenty of free self-parking. Venue 3 stars: Unpretentious, basic mom and pop shop. Indoor tables and booths and takeout. No outdoor seating. Tables can be tight and cramped for the huge plates and the many side dishes typical to Korean comfort food. Billing 1 stars: I was disappointed that on the check they recommend the tip amount based on the total after tax, which is not correct. Tipping is customarily calculated based on the total before tax. Some restaurants have attempted doing this recently which I find misleading and I will be calling them out on it. I have posted a picture of the check. Now, this may have been done by the terminal vendor and not the restaurant management but nevertheless I would recommend that the restaurant addresses this to avoid having confused and unhappy customers. Service 3 stars: Again, unpretentious and basic but efficient. Food 5 stars: Korean comfort food, using the recipes from "the real" Grandma Kim. I have been coming to Grandma Kim's for many many years now. I was sad to see that during and after COVID their food quality had dropped noticeably. I am glad to report that THEY ARE BACK! During my last visit the food was excellent! My favorites are the savory pancakes (Seafood, Kimchi, etc.), the Korean Ramens, and the Spicy Pork Bulgogi. Drinks 4 stars: Bottled Beer, Korean Soju and soft drinks. The Bottom Line 3.5 stars: Great destination for Korean comfort food in a comfortable setting. I do humbly recommend that they correct their tipping recommendation ASAP to avoid confusing their loyal customers (see above). Otherwise, highly recommended!

We stopped by on a Tuesday for lunch, and nostalgia definitely did not disappoint. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal. The Jjolmyeon has always been our all-time favorite from the LA location, so ordering it was a no-brainer. And wow... it somehow tasted even better here! We also ordered the Yuk Kalguksu (육칼국수) and Gun Mandu (군만두), and everything hit the spot. The Yuk Kalguksu came with such a generous portion that I happily finished the noodles, enjoyed some of the rich, spicy broth, and still had enough soup and beef to box up for another meal. Talk about a bonus dinner! The mandu was perfectly crispy and paired so well with the refreshing, chewy jjolmyeon. For us, a restaurant earns a spot in our regular rotation only if it checks three boxes: delicious food, friendly service, and cleanliness. Hodori easily checks all three. In fact, I came back after work the very same day to pick up dinner for the family (because one visit clearly wasn't enough ). We ordered Galbi Ugeoji Haejangguk (갈비 우거지 해장국), Galbitang (갈비탕), Tteokbokki (떡볶이), Samgyetang (삼계탕), and Yukgaejang (육개장). I placed the order before leaving work, and by the time I arrived about 15 minutes later, everything was neatly packed and ready to go. As a working mom, finding a restaurant that serves delicious food, offers great service, and makes takeout this effortless feels like striking gold. It saves me time in the kitchen while keeping everyone's tummies full and happy. Safe to say, Hodori has officially earned a permanent spot on our takeout list.

Absolutely terrible customer service…read more I came in with my two kids (ages 4 and 8). They were quietly waiting while we looked at the menu and were just moving the utensils around on the table like normal little kids. I politely asked if we could order regular meals to dine in and kids' meals to go. The younger employee simply said no, which was fine--I was only asking. Then an older Korean lady came over, got right in my face, and loudly said, "NO TAKE OUT!" The tone was rude, embarrassing, and completely unnecessary. Instead of treating us with basic courtesy, she made us feel like we weren't wanted there. As we were leaving, she pointed at my kids and shooed them away from the table because they had moved the utensils around. I was honestly speechless. I would never let my children trash a restaurant, and I would have cleaned up anything before leaving. To make it worse, this isn't the first time. On a previous visit, I watched this same older lady and an older man give my friends dirty looks and a nasty attitude over the tip, even though they had already left 18%. Charging around $35 for a single meal with rice comes with the expectation of decent hospitality. Instead, we were treated with disrespect from the moment we asked a simple question. There are too many amazing Korean restaurants in Los Angeles to spend this kind of money and be treated this poorly. Save your money and go somewhere that values its customers.
