This place is disgusting. They're not clean and do a terrible job. I would never go back.

I went to get a gel manicure yesterday, and wanted glitter on one nail. The manicurist started putting polish on the nail I wanted glitter on. So I asked her to put glitter on a different nail, since she put polish on the nail I wanted glitter on. She dismissively told me to tell her where I want the glitter after she finished the polish. I tried to explain that I wanted glitter on a clear nail - no polish under it. She looked at me and said, "is this the color you want??" I said, "yes." She seemed satisfied with herself, and continued polishing my nails. Why wouldn't you do what the customer wants? I have worked in the service industry for MANY years. I have NEVER insisted on my own way when the customer wanted something else. I will find another salon who is concerned with what I want, and not what they want. read more

Excellent pedicure. Worth the trip from the north shore. Rocio massaged my feet and legs to the point of complete relaxation. No wait time since the place is loaded with over 15 pedicure chairs. I think the overall low stars are reflective of those who were not happy with the service and not enough reviewers who had a pleasant experience. If they did a good job, tip well - at least 30% of the cost of the pedicure. And if they did a mediocre job, instead of a measly tip and a not so great review, let the girl know what she did wrong so it helps the next customer. After all, we're all human aren't we? read more

I have been here 2 Fridays, in the late afternoon, too, no less ... and was able to be seen right away. Love that! There is a manager that manages, making sure that no one is waiting too long, or not attendes too. There is a guy that will offer massages, as you get your manicure done. The place is well lit, very organized and very clean. The parkings is great. It sometimes feels like a drive to get there. But I guess that adds to the feeling serenity and oasis. The place is very clean and they do a good job, your experience changes when you go and pay. Whey never give you the same price for the same service and twice they did try to charge me more than I was suppose to pay. Based on my own personal experience here, along with previous reviews, this salon is hit or miss. The last time I came here was on a Wednesday mid-afternoon and they were not especially crowded. In the past, when I've come on weekends or holidays (especially in the summer months) it can feel like an assembly line. They will often work on your mani/pedi in one shot to move you along. If you're in a hurry, that can be a good thing, but if your feet or hands need a little TLC you may feel like you're getting ripped off. So it seems that if you come at a more off time you can expect a little more attention. During my last visit, one of the girls also gave me a complimentary message while I was getting my mani. It was about 5 minutes, very needed & very relaxing. If I wasn't in a rush to get back to work I would've paid for a full massage. The salon is conveniently located close to both my job and my home, so when I'm in a pinch I'll come back. I stopped coming here because they were super expensive, but it seems like their prices are more in line with other local places now. It was $31 for a mani pedi. read more

not a huge fan. had a couple bad experiences from getting wax in my hair during an eyebrow wax to being left to soak in the pedicure chair so long the water got cold. The straw that broke the camels back was when the manicurist cut me with the cuticle cutter so bad my finger bled and wouldn't stop! This was a while ago but really put me off from going back even if they did improve. plus they're a bit too pricey. read more

Place is RIDICULOUSLY over priced and is no better than an other nail salon. There is not one thing inside their that justifies their prices . I can get a great mani and pedi and massage anywhere . My nails ALWAYS chip wishing 3-4 days with a GEL manicure . This is unacceptable in my opinion. I have gone to other places paying 20/25 for gel and getting to at least a week and half before any chipping . Anything under a week is NOT ok. I don't think I have ever made a full with after going to this salon. I also found someone who does a great job. I sat down and she started my manicure and then in the middle she left to take someone else and I was passed off. Mind u the place was dead . Why take me if u have someone coming in and if that wasn't the case how rude ! Also I made an appointment with someone specific and when I got there the girl had no idea she had an appointment to do my pedi and tried telling I had to wait for her to give a manicure ! HA! so when I told the owner she told me if I could wait . Are we serious ???? Why take the appointment then!?? I made the appointment at 12pm for 6pm and now I have to wait longer !??? Loyal customer for years. I followed the owner from when she moved from Rose Nail. Recently when in the day before my daughters communion. While checking out the confront me about a visit I made one month earlier where they claimed I didn't pay my entire bill. Keep in mind I am in every two weeks. I ask for an explanation and was told I agreed to pay to someone else that was with me.... And they then asked me for another $57 on top of the $146 I was already charged. I paid my current bill and walked out. You lost a loyal customer with that bullsh*t! read more

so i came here today with hopes that the good reviews would be right & the bad reviews would be wrong, but unfortunately i got the miss instead of the hit that so many other reviews speak of. and gravely so, one of the worst misses i've ever experienced. i've included pictures of the ruins they left my poor nails in, that i've been growing & grooming for months to get the shape & condition i (had) them in. And within 10 minutes time & countless attempts & practical pleads with the nail technician to stop & please shape them pointy and not rounded (i even filed two or three nails myself to show her exactly what I meant, and still, nothing, kept filing round) - until the point where my nails were now down to or past the cuticle! & completely ruined/unfixable. i even told her, after clearly seeing she either didn't understand me or, unfortunately, English, or any of the countless pictures I showed her as examples (again, all on top of actually filing some myself to show her) i said ok, forget it now, too much damage has been done lets just round them out ridiculously short now, and THIS is what she left me with. i took one look at even her best attempt at a rounded fix, and stopped the gel manicure then & there. i couldn't believe what she had done. and how quickly south a manicure & my nails could go. i'm still upset, my nails were so beautiful, & long, & strong, & amazingly shaped, and now i'm left with this.... a nail job that looks like something my friend's 5-yr-old daughter would do, possibly worse. if you have been maintaining & care about your nails at all, do not go here. they do not have the practiced or mastered skill of doing them. & to top it all off, after i ceased the gel manicure, and (very nicely) explained my complaint & why I wouldn't be continuing, they charged me for the soak! $7! added to my pedicure ($20) which i was more than willingly paying for-- but as a customer service business, the $7 soak should have been waived for my troubles! AT THE VERY LEAST. truly appalling & a very disappointing experience. & i run a customer service business myself. that last bit, what an incredibly bad business practice. i will never be coming here again, and i suggest you do the same. read more

My nails look messy now - almost like I did them myself. Plus there was nail polish on my fingers afterwards that another worker had to remove (gel manicure so they couldn't just chip it off). Horrible experience and I didn't even get my nails done! I walked in to buy a $30 Gift card for my sister, in a rush. The lady who rang me up was in the middle of doing another customers Manicure. When I walked in, she left her customer to come over so I could purchase the gift card. She was rushing me and because of that..she wiped my debit card gave me the gift card and ran away. I had someone waiting for me outside in the car so, I ran out and drove away. The next morning, I logged in to my online banking to check my account and realized, she charged me $330!!!!!! not $30!!!! I realize it was my mistake for not checking the receipt but she was rushing me because she had a customer, I just signed and ran out. OK..fine, I am at fault for not checking my receipt. HOWEVER, as soon as I saw the error, I called there and they told me it was MY FAULT and I didn't check my receipt and they were not going to refund me $300! I of course, FLIPPED MY LID!!! I called there numerous times that day to resolve this and they absolutely refused to give me my $ back. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? As soon as I told them I would be there in 20 minutes with the police to arrest them for FRAUD, Suddenly they gave me a CASH refund. This took up my entire day of fighting with them for my money back. They have some nerve!!! I will never recommend this place to anyone....SHAME ON THEM!!!! read more

This is the worst place ever! I got white acrylic tips. Asked the chinese woman to make them short and thin. To look natural. She didn't make them the length I wanted. Excuses after excuses. I kept telling her they are too thick. To top it off she wanted to paint the pink all over the white tips. I made her just paint the top. She didn't even know how to properly clean and line my nails with the polish. I was so aggregated. I was charged $52.75 so expensive and a bullshit job. To top it off I had them put polish on 2 little girls. I was charged a full price manicure 13.00 each. All they did was color no manucure on thise tiny nails. I would never go back there. I've been going to Coco nails since they opened. The Business has gone consistently down hill. The new owners have done nothing to refresh the place, broken chairs, old tables etc. Some of the polish needs to be replaced as does some of the equipment. Its down the block from me so its convenient and there is never a wait but after my last 2 experiences there I will never go again. 3 friends and I went for mani pedis for my friends bridal shower where the future brides foot was cut and bleeding for a good 10 minutes during her pedicure. There were no apologies, no empathy just looks of disgust and comments made to one another in their foreign tongue. The owner made no apologies just offered a few dollars off. Then instead of offering the pedicure gratis the future bride was given a gift certificate to come back for another pedicure. Fast foward 2 weeks later when we go back so she can use her gift certificate and I receive a gel manicure that only lasted 3 days. We were seated in old nasty pedicure chairs, the vinyl peeling from the seats, my feet didn't soak. The technician got nail polish on my flip flops and messed up 2 of the nails on my toes. When i commented that the were messed up and needed to be fixed she gave me a nasty look like it was my fault. My gel manicure chipped after 3 days. The polish is peeling off after 4 freaking days. My own manicures with regular nail polish last longer. The staff is rude and obnoxious. Over priced. NEVER AGAIN. It doesnt even deserve 1 star. read more

I went here with my mom on a Sunday. The place wasn't too packed and it's a big salon with lots of options. We got manicures and pedicures done. At the end of my manicure one of my nails got messed up and I nicely told the lady and she got mad and didn't fix it. At the end of a couple weeks I noticed something on my toe nails and my moms hand nails. They had given us fungus from not cleaning their tools correctly !! The prices are ridiculous and was not worth eating fungus. I recommend going somewhere else to stay safe. read more

I have been here before, a few years ago to do a French gel manicure. It didn't even last me a day before all my fingers started to crack down the middle. I then decided yesterday let me go see how it is maybe they changed. I didn't have an appointment but I had to wait maybe 15 minutes. The place was PACKED it was so busy. A lady named Lynn came and helped me she gave me a brand new Light concept set with color gel on top for 60$. I usually pay around 45$ so this place is a little priced then other places but is it worth it? YES. The lady who did my nails really took her time and did the exact shape I wanted and was so kind. I think I found my new nail lady and new nail spot. Although it is way more expensive then other places, it was so worth it. read more

Never again! This nail salon used to be fairly decent giving a nice pedicure with a bit of a massage. Now you're lucky if you get a five minute massage. I just left there and was charged an additional $12 for a 10 min massage which brought my pedicure to $35! Id much rather spend that money on a high end spa than this joke of a place. When I told the owner I was unaware of the additional charge for a 10 min massage she didn't seem to care. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere! read more

Well, after 2 years they finally lost me as a client. I came in for a acrylic gel filling as always. The price is $47.00 which is about $7.00 more expensive as i found out then other places in Staten Island and about $12.00 more expensive then in Brooklyn. I asked for a coat of glitter to be applied on the top of a nail polish and the owner has charged me extra $5.00 for it. Really? The whole bottle costs less then that. Not only no one ever charges extra for it, but I was not told about it in advance. She just told me $52.00 as its a normal thing. Not only that but technician was cleaning my hands and a table with the same brush. When I asked him not to do that, he said that the table was cleaned and looked at me like I was crazy. Also the owner is super rude. Have no clue how they stay in business. They rip you off, charge you for any step without warning and the owner is like a hawk watching over you. I used to go here once in a while 2 yrs ago, it was good. I was in the area and went yesterday for a mani/pedi. The pedi lasted 15 mins. And only 3 min. Massage for both legs. I wasn't sure of the price, before I got then mani, I thought I saw $15 for pedi on the price chart, I figured as much because for should a quick pedi, that's what it usually is at other place for that service. I got a regular mani, short nails, that took about 15 mins. When I had to pay it was $34, I asked how much the pedi was he said $24. I talked to the women in charge and told her, that was a $15 mani for only 3 min massage, I asked her how long it's supposed to be, she said they put the scrub on that's 5 mins and the lotion 5 mins. I told hernit was not 5 mins for either. She said she timed her and the pedi was 15 mins., my point exactly, what kind of mani is ONLY 15 mins. for $24. She didn't want to hear nothing, she stopped talking. Then I saw one of the workers take a bunch of the foam disposable flip flops out of the garbage and put them aside! So that tells me they reuse them! That is disgusting! I will never go back, and will report them! read more

Been here several times because a friend recommended. It is pretty clean and generally you don't wait and the manicures and pedicures have been decent but after today I will NEVER return! After waiting in line for them to get ready and open the door this morning, I was told that I was late for my appointment! I was 10 minutes early and was on line waiting for them and they had the audacity to tell me I was late! Next got a pedicure and it was okay. On to the gel manicure. When I asked if they could match my nails to the color on my feet, I was told they don't have a matching color! I then said that was unacceptable and wanted them to re-do my foot color with a color that would match my nails. If they would have done my nails first, this all could have been avoided but the place is like an assembly line! So the girl re-paints my feet and tells me that the owner will charge me to do this! Are you kidding me? Was it my fault that they couldn't match my color? I'm in the service industry also and if a customer is not satisfied, I bend over backwards to make them happy. This owner couldn't care less if you left happy or not as long as you paid! Did I mention they are so overpriced? Charged me $62 for a pedicure and gel manicure both of which were disappointing.
