    Chicken Pot Pie Soup
    Wendy K.

Had been here before our office moved closer for smoothies with a group of us from work. Grabbed a smoothie the first week we moved and the owner gave me a sample of one of the soups it was a white bean sausage that day. I love the smoothies and that there is some place close to work to grab one. The soup is a good deal $8 before tax and comes with a herbed breadstick. So today's selections we're split pea, chicken pot pie soup and the standing chili. I went with the with the chicken pot pie which I believe said gluten free. From the white sample I had on my last visit I knew it would be a tasty soup this time around. Always greeted with a smile here and service is friendly and fast.

Best place in Pioneer Square for juices and smoothies is this small cafe. Cocoa Banana certainly makes use of these couple ingredients. It also has bubble tea. For sure it's a way to cool off. There's only a few seats inside, so most people get takeout it seems. A small cafe with big flavor. It's about $7 for a smoothie. That's actually not bad for these. More in the cup than it actually appears. These are thick. Certainly a good idea to get one with the key ingredients. I got the one known as the Tony. Bananas and chocolate are in it of course. There's also cold brew and peanut butter along with your choice of a beverage base, and I got coconut milk. A good combination. This is something a monkey would have after going to a gym. Cool place literally and figuratively. It's located on Cherry Street. There's plenty of choices for vegans and vegetarians.

Menu. Many drink options. The flavors combinations had me in awe

Nothing special going on inside beside them making these absolutely delicious drinks. Might be the best smoothie I've had in a very long time. The price was also just right. Very small shop with large colorful menu displays. Not much room for hanging out so I took my drinks to go. The service is pretty typical of a smoothie or bubble tea shop. At this location you order from a human which is always nice. Just wait till you check out their menu. When I started to read it, I was in awe by the very appetizing flavor combinations they offer. I want to go back soon and try another. Mine and my dates drinks where so darn tasty I'm starting to reminisce. I forsee another trip to pioneer square coming very soon. So glad I decided to stop in for a drink.

I wanted to get a boba but 80% of their menu is smoothies/shakes, so I got a chocolate coconut banana one. It was good, but I never order smoothies so it's hard to compare it.

I live and work nearby. In the summer, I am here often for the smoothies. Super affordable compared to all the surrounding smoothie spots in the area. They also have a great rotating soup that I crave during the cold months. Food is good. Great friendly service. Super chill ambiance very "old seattle vintage" pioneer square! 100% will be back.

Stopped in to grab some smoothies. I was greeted pleasantly by the shop owner. He made the smoothies to order and with real and fresh ingredients. There were so many delicious sounding options but I went with the mango peach smoothie - it did not disappoint! Smoothies were reasonably priced at $7 for a regular size. There is some seating inside. In addition to smoothies they offer bubble teas and a limited food menu. Highly recommend!

I'd heard it was Filipino breakfast food, so I decided to go on a weekday after a staff member mentioned there's no wait then. To be safe, I placed my order online ahead of time. That turned out to be a smart move -- when I arrived, the place was packed and there were still two people in line. This is at 7:30am :| I ordered the Combo Silog to try a variety of things. I couldn't find the highly recommended ube pancake on the weekday menu. I later learned that it's only available on weekends, so I'll definitely have to come back for that. The combo came with a pork chop, two eggs cooked to your choice, two types of sausage, a silog with beef filling, and garlic rice. I also added a side of fried chicken. The pork chop and fried chicken were the highlights for me -- both had a thin, crispy batter that tasted great. I ordered my eggs over easy, and they were cooked perfectly: soft, but not too runny. The rest of the plate was solid, though nothing else especially stood out. I did wish substitutions were allowed, but the menu makes it clear they aren't. Overall, Ludi's definitely knows how to cook. The food feels like a tasty fusion of Asian and American breakfast comfort food, and it's hearty enough to keep you full for hours. I ended up skipping lunch. I'd absolutely recommend it, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to try the ube pancake.

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

I am so grateful for my experience at Life On Mars. It turned out to be the highlight of a…read moretumultuous Seattle trip and I look back on it fondly. We came here mostly for one thing: I absolutely could not wait for their gluten-free vegan chick'n pot pie. A pie i'd been waiting months to try. A pie unlike any other pie. A pie that I still think about to this day. We walked straight into a Cardi B drag show. And by "walked into" I mean we opened the door and Hot Pink Shade sashayed right in front of us. It was exactly the kind of welcome we love. It was also the first green flag in a sea of green flags at Life On Mars. I could barely sit still as I waited to order my GF/VG pot pie. We got the drinks outta the way (a peach hard cider for me and a fancy-schmancy cocktail for the lady). I was positively GIDDY when Anna came to take our order and I blurted out chick'n pot pie excitedly. I nearly died when she said they didn't have any. Normally it wouldn't have been such a big deal, but I was from out of town and had literally been craving this damn pie for months! And I lied, I didn't nearly die but I DID nearly cry and that's almost as bad. Even the bestie lamented about what a let down this was. Anna. Dear, sweet Anna. We must have looked really hard up because this sweet baby angel offered to ask the cooks if they could whip one up special just for me. Let me tell you why this is a big deal: For one, she didn't need to do that. That's going above and beyond, and she was such a graceful little buttercup when she did it. Second, making a gluten free biscuit is a finicky, precise, detailed process. It sucks, honestly, and I don't blame them for not having them every day. I nearly cried when she came back and told us the cooks said YES. And this time i'm not lying. It was beyond the type of customer service i'm used to. It was.... humane. It was...empathetic. It was...totally first world problems but it meant so much to me! Especially since Anna said it had been a DAY and she was at her wits end. For her to have a rough day and still have the grace and compassion to make my stupid GF/VG chick'n pot pie dreams come true.....well, yeah, it made me a bit teary eyed. The pot pie was delicious, as expected. It was nostalgic and comforting, like a big hug in a bowl. The flavors were rich and deep, the biscuit soft and flaky; it was one of the most delicious things i've tasted on my GF/VEG journey. Between the food, the drinks, the customer service and the drag show......this was five stars all around. No doubt. I don't see the GF chick'n pot pie on their menu anymore. Maybe it's a seasonal thing? I hope it comes back, i'll be checking. And when it pops up again, so will I. Thank you, Anna. Thank you to the cooks on 2/19/26. Thank you to Hot Pink Shade, ISIS and King Leo Mane.
