Grabbed a smoothie the first week we moved and the owner gave me a sample of one of the soups it was a white bean sausage that day. I love the smoothies and that there is some place close to work to grab one. The soup is a good deal $8 before tax and comes with a herbed breadstick. So today's selections we're split pea, chicken pot pie soup and the standing chili. I went with the with the chicken pot pie which I believe said gluten free. More in the cup than it actually appears. These are thick. Certainly a good idea to get one with the key ingredients. I got the one known as the Tony. Bananas and chocolate are in it of course. There's also cold brew and peanut butter along with your choice of a beverage base, and I got coconut milk. A good combination. This is something a monkey would have after going to a gym. Very small shop with large colorful menu displays. Not much room for hanging out so I took my drinks to go. The service is pretty typical of a smoothie or bubble tea shop. At this location you order from a human which is always nice. Just wait till you check out their menu. When I started to read it, I was in awe by the very appetizing flavor combinations they offer. I want to go back soon and try another. Mine and my dates drinks where so darn tasty I'm starting to reminisce. I forsee another trip to pioneer square coming very soon. I highly recommend the Banana Almond joy with coffee if you're in the mood for a coconut-infused nutty chocolate-y drink. We wanted to grab a quick smoothie before our tour (tour starts in 8 minutes) and found this smoothie shop across the street. The lady who manned the shop was quick to greet us and made our smoothie order in a flash. I had a Kale Mango and my son had Mango Peach and both were delicious! The shop used real fruits and nothing artificial. When checking out, she gave us a discount from seeing me holding our tour tickets without me even mentioning it. I've been to a few smoothie places around here and so far I think this place makes the best smoothie with chocolate, coffee, peanut butter, and banana. It tastes so good, I just wish there were bigger sizes instead of one! It's not the healthiest because the chocolate syrup is Hershey's, but it is so addicting! The workers at this place are all very friendly as well and it seems like some kind of mom and pop shop. I've never had any of their salad, but I've had their soup. I think working in Pioneer Square is so difficult because most of the restaurants are so expensive, but this place is super reasonable. I went around 12:45 and there was a handful of other people, but I didn't have to wait to order. The salad bar was a running a little low, but it had what I wanted. I made myself a small salad and got the Tony smoothie (banana, chocolate, espresso, peanut butter, and non fat frozen yogurt). It was so tasty! They were quick to ring me and to make my smoothie, which is so nice because I'm always looking for quick stops for lunch. They've got a lot of other smoothies and juices and I can't wait to come back to try them! Looks like you can also bring in your own container for salad and get a discount. She mentioned that we will get salads and that the place is called Cocoa Banana. I was already excited hearing that silly name and loved their vintage logo when I saw it later. I was even more excited when I saw that the place is a salad bar and you can grab what you want and pay by weight. It reminded me of mini Souplantation from California.I saw 5 or 6 kinds of beans, veggies, yummy pickled asparagus, grilled chicken, tuna, tofu, eggs, nuts,12 different types of dressings... I liked that they had all of your usual salad ingredients as well as some different items. For example seaweed salad and pickled ginger! Everything fresh and excellent quality. My box ended up being a little over $10. Not too bad, considering that I had some left over and I was picking a little bit of everything. My coworker's box looked really full, but maybe she picked light items as hers was only over $6. It's a steal in Seattle area! We were in a hurry, and although it was a lunch hour rush we were able to get in and out in about 5 minutes. They have a variety of fruit combinations they can do. The chart is a little bit confusing at first - if you want no nonsense, just tell them what combinations of fruit you want. The smoothie was like 16 oz and it came under $4 which is not bad! I got a peach and strawberry smoothie. It came out fast and it tasted sweet and fresh. I would come back again!
