I stopped in and was helped by a very friendly barista! I got a 4 pack sampler with Dulce de Leche, Cafe con Leche, Sea Salt Caramel, and Mexican Vanilla. The chocolates are wonderful quality and we enjoyed all of them, but my favorite was Cafe con Leche - perfect balance of coffee/milk flavors! I will definitely be back again for that one and look forward to trying more! Today I had the Mojito Coffee which was a spin on the classic cocktail, but uses Espresso instead of Trquila! It was bright and acidic which is really great on a hot day(sip). Fresh Mint helps to balance the Espresso and keeps the drink from being bitter. I husband had a Jamaica Drink that was reminiscent of vibrant Hibiscus Cooler. I attended my first Yelp Elite Event here at CocoAndré Chocolatier the other day. I wouldn't have known about this place if it weren't for our Dallas Community Manager, Semhar. Thank you Semhar! This place is really tucked into the fabric of the neighborhood in the Bishop Arts District, but it is still walking distance from Bishop Ave. and all of the other cool places to visit. It's always cool to go back your hometown and enjoy small businesses like this one and help them thrive, and I will come back because before the Elite Event, I was already eyeing the Milk Chocolate Pistachio Bark (they also make it in a dark chocolate). It is delicious!! A perfect blend of sweet and savory with the added sea salt. A must try. I also got the complimentary Horchata, and chocolate candy on a stick. For a Yelp Elite Event I thought there would be more bells and whistles, like the news being there wanting to interview me or something like that. LOL!! Now what you're really here for: we decided to get a little bit of everything from the chocolates displayed at the front of the store to the ready to go boxes on the left-hand side. I opted for a spiced rum truffle, an orange dipped in chocolate, The raspberry lavender chocolate as well as the pear ginger chocolate truffle. My top two favorites were definitely the raspberry lavender, which is a dark chocolate truffle and raspberry infused ganache topped with some crystallized lavender. The pear ginger was similar and that it was also a dark chocolate truffle, pear ganache, topped with crystallized ginger. My boyfriend and I made a visit to CocoAndre for a Yelp event, and it was an adorable chocolate shop a little outside the well beaten BA path. The selection shows how much they know what they're doing. Aside from popular belief, good chocolate ain't an easy thing to make. We both had horchata, but I'm regretting not getting it "dirty" (or with a shot of espresso) because it reminded me of steamed sweet milk, but lighter. I visited this chocolate shop for the first time and had no idea it was Mexican-American themed and owned! I was really excited to see the variety of treats they offered along with items from other small businesses. I tried the vegan horchata and I had a piece of milk chocolate. Both were excellent! I'm planning to come try the coffee drinks next time. The truffle selection was awesome, there was so much I wanted to try but so far I've had the French vanilla, spiced rum, double fudge, and the Turkish coffee. What a gorgeous shop that's not only LatinX owner, but woman-owned as well! Cindy and her mother have created such a unique business with some of the most delicious chocolate I've ever had. These are superb chocolates. We have tried the lemon chiffon and salted caramel truffles and they are amazing!! The chocolate is a superior quality and the fillings are like air - they melt in your mouth and fill it with wonderful flavors! The wrapped seasonal chocolate figures were delicious as well. I have to say that these are smaller than normal truffles and are expensive. But I didn't take a star away for that, because it's so hard for small business owners to make a living and these ladies are doing a great job. I don't even know where to begin. from the moment you step in to this cute little shop, to the sweet employees greeting you, it's like chocolate heaven. we stopped in to purchase some goodies for our friends and family while we were here visiting. the employees were friendly and greeted us. we took our time shifting through the chocolate. we ended up buying 3 chocolate skulls in three varying sizes. they made for great gifts! I bought a box of truffles for my friend I was gifting. they were just gorgeous and it took a lot to not just eat them on my drive to Austin. my daughter bought a cute little witch hat & devoured it within a few seconds. my husband bought a white chocolate skull (tiny) and ate it for breakfast. Dallas is fortunate to have CocoAndré, one of the few chocolate makers in Texas. A chocolate maker starts with cocoa beans and makes chocolate from them. A chocolatier takes chocolate others have made (and it's usually made with extra cocoa butter) and makes treats from that chocolate--they don't make the chocolate themselves. CocoAndré is both. It makes chocolate from beans. They sell that chocolate in bars (both plain and with inclusions, or flavors), and it's also used for some of their truffles/bonbons. They make a variety of truffle/bonbon flavors. Some are winners, and others are just okay. The only bad issue I've ever had with any of them was stale nuts on one of the nut truffles once. They should fix that problem and not use stale nuts. Other than that, the truffles have been good. Some of them are downright great. And some of the flavor combinations are unique (and outstanding). The bars are interesting. People have different tastes, and you may love some of the bars and dislike the flavors in others. That's fine. Your friend may love the ones you don't like. That's life. But overall these are good chocolate bars. Again, some of these bars use CocoAndré's own chocolate, and others use couverture chocolate. This is a small, family-owned, local business. And it makes good chocolate. It deserves your business, and your taste buds will thank you. read more

What a great little coffee shop and chocolate shop! The perfect place to get homemade coffee drinks and amazing delicious chocolate fresh from the kitchen. Parking is hard, although it's really nice that they do have a sign just for their customers to park right in front of their building. It's like a little house and when you walk in the little bell rings, I was greeted by a nice young man who asked me if I needed any help. The inside is small but it really opens up to the back side, you'll see a little Mural they have that you can take a picture with. I love the variety of chocolates they had! In all shapes and sizes! From Easter bunnies, to chocolate hearts, to lollipops, even an entire chocolate made shoe! This place was a really nice vibes. They even had cards, and other trinkets. yum! Adorable little place right off of central Bishop Arts' strip. It has a nice little yard out front and a small porch that would be perfect for people watching or very small, physically distanced get togethers. Inside is a myriad of treats of every shape and size. They have premade or made to order drinks and sweets. I had their white chocolate and a dirty horchata. In retrospect, I should have tried the regular horchata first as this was my third coffee of the day...but it was worth it! I will definitely be going back to try more. read more

Location & vibe: I actually love that it's a few blocks away from the heart of Bishop Arts - parking was easy, and it felt like I was pulling up to a good friend's house rather than a shop. The outdoor seating was so inviting - if I had been with someone in my quarantine bubble, I would have sat at one of the picnic benches to enjoy the treats! The interior was warm and welcoming, with shelves full of beautiful goodies and a good selection of specialty drinks. The treats: I enjoyed an almond milk latte and took home a cute heart shaped chocolate to enjoy later. Oat milk was also available as a non dairy option. I picked up both the milk and dark chocolate pistachio barks, and can't wait to taste them! I've had their chocolate dipped pretzels and hot cocoa bombs in the past, and was obsessed. You can tell the chocolate is high quality! The service: the man who helped me check out was really kind, quick, and helpful.
