Period…read more Whether you're planning a solo date, a night out with your partner, a gathering with friends, or a larger celebration, Vivian's somehow manages to fit the occasion perfectly. The menu hits all the right spots, the staff are wonderful, and the entire experience feels intentional. And the food? I honestly can't even begin to describe it. Everything is flavorful, beautifully prepared, and made with what feels like genuine excellence. I could go dish by dish, but honestly, there were so many things I enjoyed that it would be overwhelming. My advice is simple: go experience it for yourself. Vivian's offers both morning and dinner service, so just be sure to check the hours before you go. Then treat yourself, bring someone you love, or take yourself on a solo date. Do yourself a favor. Go to Vivian's Bistro.

Traditional Chinese dishes with a spin, plus a seasonal menu with other Asian dishes (ex. Viet). Got the fried oysters, peking duck ($85), squid ink fried rice, bo kho w grilled banh mi, dong po rou (braised pork belly), mapo tofu with fish, okra + eggplant in garlic sauce, and green beans. Fried oysters, eggplant w garlic sauce, green beans, and mapo tofu were good, but felt a bit overpriced given the quality and quantity. Have had better versions of these dishes elsewhere, but not bad choices here if you need non-meat options. Peking duck was good, and the addition of candied lemon is similar to that of Peony Kitchen. Came with steamed buns, but a bit pricier than PK. Dong po rou also came with steamed buns for sandwiching the meat in. Meat was very tender. I haven't had authentic bo kho (oops), but we thought this tasted quite good! Tender meat and veggies, good flavor, and came with banh for dipping. Squid ink fried rice was pretty good, and came with a thick layer of cheese on top. Couldn't really find the chunks of squid, but was quite tasty. On the pricier side, but worth a visit. Free parking garages available.

We made a reservation three days prior for 11am when they open and were happy they could accommodate. Everything was fresh. We enjoyed the dessert bar (popping boba, matcha pocky sticks, jello, candy). Loved the soft serve ice cream after. Good quality, great service. High end hot pot. Parking is validated for 6 hours in the Bravern parking garage.

The entire experience was upscale and their hospitality is next level! We stopped by for lunch and opted for one of their sets. You pick a broth (you can do split pot) and the set comes with assorted vegetables, noodles, and meat. A really good deal! They also have an array of bars featuring sauces, fruits, appetizers, and desserts. Everything was quality and so fresh! We had the best time and left feeling so stuffed! The main selling point for me here was the fact that I got my own personal pot. Sometimes my partner and I have trouble agreeing on which broths to get and it's not even a problem here! I got a personal split pot of their Spicy Broth & Chef's Creamy Pork Broth. Delish and the perfect portion for little ol' me!

Not a lot of people there for a random weekday lunch. Lots of different rolls and sushi on the menu, along with beverages. The happy hour menu is also valid during lunch time. We tried a bunch of appetizers. My favorite was the calamari. There isn't much batter but there is a sweetness from orange zest. The edamame and takoyaki were decent. The chicken kaarage was not particularly flavorful nor did it have much of a crispy skin. Also tried the Cos-no-politan mocktail which definitely had that grapefruit flavor. For mains, I got the bento and the Super Bad Boy roll off the happy hour menu. The bento box has good portions. The contents change day to day, but I got chicken teriyaki over rice, 3 pieces of a crab roll, 2 pieces of fish nigiri, seaweed salad with some small octopi. Everything in the box was decent except the teriyaki, which was a bit rubbery. As for the Super Bad Boy roll, it's one of their fried rolls, and the frying made the roll taste a bit dry. Should have ordered a non-fried roll. Overall, service was good, portions okay. Some items were good, some were not that great.
