I went to Amas Chicken and it was sooo good--I can't believe it took me this long to finally visit. It's a fusion of Cambodian and Chinese food, and everything tasted amazing. I got the plate with both fried chicken and boiled chicken. The chicken was super flavorful on its own, but the sauces really took it to the next level. My favorite was definitely the spicy chili sauce--it was so good. I'll 100% be coming back.

So glad I finally got to try A Ma! Came by at lunchtime on a Sunday and waited in line for 5 minutes before we got seated. Service was efficient - the food came out quickly and the servers seemed attentive. The store itself wasn't super large but they were able to fit a lot of us in there. Parking was easy in the big plaza lot. I got the combo chicken plate, and everything tasted really fresh. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and the batter of the fried chicken was crispy and surprisingly yummy. Both paired so well with the two tangy sauces the dish came with. The included broth was very comforting and wholesome. If I had one piece of feedback, it would be that I wish we got just a few more pickled veggies. I definitely recommend this spot - there's a reason it's so popular!

Came here at 3pm on a Monday and was immediately sat, whenever I would pass by during lunch time there would be a line out the door. The space is well decorated, this is one of the few Cambodian restaurants I've tried in the Seattle area. Easy parking in Redmond Town Center. At the table it looked like you can order by QR code but the waiter was nice and came over to take my order. The food came out so quickly I was shocked at their speed! The dish is so well presented on the tray with the fresh greens on the side, two sauces, soup and then the main chicken/rice dish. There are additional chili oil, scallion oil and ginger/scallion oil on the side of the table. The chicken was so moist & tender. The sauces and chili oil gave it a kick I was looking for so definitely recommend it. 10/10 recommend, tasted and felt like comfort food, will be back.

This was my first time trying these dishes, and I really enjoyed them! The restaurant is super cute and the employees were very nice! It's a smaller restaurant and has a very cozy feel. We ordered the combo chicken rice and kuy teav noodle soup. I really enjoyed both! The food was mild in flavor and easy to eat. Like others have said, I think this would be the perfect meal to have when you're sick or low energy! I don't know how it compares to other similar restaurants, but I know that I liked it! I would definitely come back again!

Seriously glad Redmond town center has this place because it SO delicious and simple! It's one of those places I don't even care about the decor because the food is so good. I love their chicken and rice, you'll probably enjoy crispy more but both are good- and generous portions. I love the soup, taste so flavorful. I especially love the pickled garlic that's on each table. I love everything I've tried here. The service is typically quick. Coming back asap.

Great Cambodian restaurant for chicken/rice dishes! I had their combo chicken rice dish and it was very delicious! It came with steamed and fried chicken. It also came with sauces, broth, veggies, pickled veggies, and well seasoned rice. The steamed chicken went very well with their dipping sauce. The were two kinds; one salty/sweet, and one that's like spicy fish sauce (my favorite). The broth was flavorful and the seasoned rice was so good. The service was good. The server quickly took our order and the food came out pretty quickly. After they delivered the food, there wasn't much service afterwards. The ambiance was good. Nicely decorated inside. The place was busy on a random Thursday afternoon, so I'm guessing this place is popular. Definitely would come back!

Fantastic chicken rice place! Chicken rice is one of my favorite dishes and I love finding a good spot. Would recommend ordering the poached chicken here (as is typically recommended), but we tried the fried chicken as well. The fried chicken was just a little overcooked and dry, but the poached chicken was amazing! Note that the chicken flavor in the rice is slightly weaker than some other chicken rice restaurants, but I think they do this because if you add any of the sauces they provide it really brings it out (plus you can always use some of the soup if you want) so you can season it to your taste. Their sauces are great, as well as the toppings that come on the side (e.g. fermented green garlic, chili oil, etc.). Generous serving of chicken as you can see from the picture! There can be a wait (we waited about 15 minutes to be seated at dinner time on a weekday), but they have a tablet with the Yelp waitlist in front so if the wait is long you can put your name down and go do something else.

We dropped my husband's car off at the shop and ended up nearby, so we looked up places to eat and I'm so glad we found A Ma Chicken Rice . I was craving something simple and comforting, and this hit deep. Their chicken and rice instantly took me back to my childhood my grandma used to make chicken and rice with hot oil and scallions, and this felt just as nostalgic. The chicken was insanely juicy and tender, and the portion was HUGE for $19.50. Honestly, my husband and I could've shared one plate, but we each got our own (no regrets ). It also comes with little side dishes like soup and pickled veggies, which made it feel like such a complete, thoughtful meal. The condiments deserve their own shoutout warm, fragrant, and tasting like they were just made fresh. They really elevate the dish and make the simple chicken and rice shine. That's the star here, no question. They do have other dishes and drinks too crispy chicken rice and some soup dishes I already want to try next time. Service was good, and while the space is pretty small, it fills up fast. We came right when they opened and it still got busy quickly. If we lived closer, we'd be here all the time. This place is a must try.

It's 11am on a Saturday, they JUST opened, but it's already SO busy with patrons and pickups -- and for good reason! I tried the other dry noodle dish Kuy Teav Kouk and I think I may have a new favorite! The broth is so light, fragrant, and rich with flavor. The flavor profile is so savory, tangy, and umami. I love adding extra ginger scallion oil and pickled garlic. Portions are generous! The vibe feels a lot faster-paced than when I've been here last, but it's a lot busier than last time! Service was super quick and convenient I'll certainly be back again!

I don't usually do take out but I was in a rush to get to an event so I decided to order pickup on DoorDash. It was super quick and convenient, my food was ready in 10-15 minutes on a Friday evening. I was so surprised that the food still tasted super fresh and delicious even with takeout. It tasted exactly like when you dine in. I write this because at some restaurants, food tastes very soggy during takeout but at A Ma Chicken Rice, it tasted really fresh! Their combo chicken rice is delicious. You can't go wrong with fried and boiled chicken in one dish. You really get the best of both worlds! Always love dining here whenever I'm in the area. Staff and owner is so friendly. Highly recommend dine in and takeout!

Solid chicken and rice spot. My hubby and I have been on the hunt for a good chicken rice spot in the PNW. Have we found our holy grail? Not yet. But is A Ma worth the visit? 100%. Cons: Chicken didn't have much flavor. Needs the dipping sauce. Good: Rice and soup were delicately seasoned, preserving natural flavors of the chicken and aromatics. Chicken was tender and moist. Great: The dipping sauce is addictive! Recommend!

This place was just ok for the price. Food came out quickly. Mostly self service: order via QR code, get your own takeout boxes, pay on the app. Chicken was tender, rice was dry though. Sauces were good. The garlic on the table was a little musty so just check before adding a bunch to your food.

The food was very simple and good! The portions are very nice and the ambience was calm with nice dim lighting. We waited about 5- 10 minutes for our table and got our food right away. Overall a great service experience with very tasty food!

The sayap ayam pedas was a huge portion for just 2 people, but we couldn't stop eating. The combination of soy sauce and fish sauce was not overpowering at all and the chicken itself was so juicy. The chicken curry in the nasi lemak was delicious with the coconut rice. Along with the anchovies, egg, peanuts, and sambal, it was a choose-your-own-adventure kind of bite. The kaya toast was the perfectly sweet dish to balance out all the flavors. I especially loved dipping it in the poached egg for a satisfyingly runny bite. Oh my, the chicken skin was so tasty and it was freshly fried. The wings were super juicy and simple which went very well with the dipping sauce. We also ordered 2 Cocktails: Drink number one is the Bass'd which is essentially a Thai ice tea spiked with Hennessy which went very well together. Drink number two is the sugar mule which is basically a Moscow mule with lemon grass and kaffir lime leaves which was very refreshing. Both drinks were great and I would recommend. Then we had the Moo Manao (grilled pork jowl) and I must say this was the highlight of the show. It was one of thier specials and I'm a fan if pork jowl. The porkjowl was so tender, nice and fatty. It is seasoned very well and has a grilled smoky taste. It was on a bed of shredded cabbage and drizzled with some sort of sour dressing that paired with the fat very well. This dish I highly recommend! Then we had the Khao Mun Gai Tod (fried chicken with fragrant rice). Round 2 Since the first round of food was so good we decided to try a couple more appetizers and drink. We got the Nham Si-Khrong Moo Tod (deep fried pork ribs) which came with a lot of ribs. They were cut into small pieces and deep fried and came with a wedge of cabbage. I think this dish was a bit dry but will probably pair well with beer. I ordered the catfish claypot, which came highly recommended, and it truly delivered. The flavor was rich, savory, and comforting with a beautiful presentation. You will want every last bite. The location is charming, tucked into a quaint neighborhood across from a cozy coffee shop and bookstore. The restaurant itself is spacious with a well stocked bar. One side feels ideal for families and larger groups, while the other side leans more date night or casual drinks. It strikes a nice balance. Pricing runs on the higher side, especially since entrees do not include rice or sides and portions are not particularly large. It is something to keep in mind when ordering. Service was decent and attentive, though I would have appreciated stronger menu knowledge. Simple questions like whether a dish is gluten free or whether it includes rice or vegetables should be easy to answer. A bit more confidence and familiarity would elevate the experience. I also would have appreciated seeing Vietnamese representation at the front of house, given the cuisine. Would I return? Yes. The food is good and the space is inviting. I am just not in a huge rush, as the overall experience did not fully match the quality of the dish itself.

I've been here multiple times trying a variety of dishes and they are all amazing. This time I tried a fried enoki dish with the most delicious red sauce/stew. It was so tangy and savory at the same time. Amazing! The duck curry is also always good and fresh. The service and location are great as well, in the heart of Bellevue downtown with tons of things are so. Highly recommend. I always want to come here while visiting Washington.

My daughter wanted me to try the crispy garlic chicken so we ordered that and the happy hour veggie egg rolls. The egg rolls were OK. They came out hot and crispy on the outside but the filling was a little mushy and soft. Somewhat flavorless so had to use the accompanying sauce to eat it. Next up was the crispy garlic chicken. It had a somewhat "tangy" taste to it that I didn't really care for. I'm not really sure how else to describe it. I've never had a crispy garlic chicken with that flavor profile. I could also taste a hint of fish sauce which I know is authentic but sometimes it's off-putting for me. The portion amount was decent though and my daughter and I were able to share the dish. Cute restaurant, loved the decor, the service was attentive. I just found the food mediocre and for that reason, I probably would not visit again.

Happy hour is a great deal. The green beans are exactly how I remember them from the original Wild Ginger on Western Ave back in the '90s--same flavor, same execution. The eggplant in the passionfruit tofu dish is also excellent. And Dan the man--with the snazzy suspenders--was fantastic. Warm, attentive, and just gets it.

Booth seating on the sides, and tables in the middle row that can be put together for larger groups. Quite busy on the weeknight that we went. Menu is small. One sheet with one side for drink and other side for food. Food items has various southeast and east Asian dishes. For appetizers, we tried chicken skewers, chicken wings, and the lettuce wraps. The skewers and wings were decent. The filling of the lettuce wrap had more liquid than expected so a little bit messy. Got their coconut martini which was pretty sweet. For mains, I got the seven-spice beef. It was mildly sweet, and since it's flank and not tenderized, so it was a little tough. Not really my cup of tea. They bring out plates of rice to share. Got chocolate mousse for dessert and it was alright. Most of the desserts were under $10 but portions are pretty small (one scoop of gelato or equivalent). Prices are those of a middle-end restaurant. I think our group averaged $70-80 per person. Maybe some of the other mains would be better.
