This is one of the hardest reviews I've ever had to write. This morning, we came to the conclusion that our Siamese cat, Mochi, had come to the end of her life and there was nothing further that could be done to help her except put her out of her misery. Mochi could not stand, move, expel waste, eat, drink, hold her head, or even close her eyes. April Le Blanc was the kindest, most reassuring person I've ever met. I felt sure I was doing the right thing, at a time when every path was confusing and uncertain. I was afraid of judgment, of the fear of hearing--or not hearing--that there was something else that could be done before so final of an outcome. It's a real rollercoaster of emotions, euthanizing a pet. Mochi wasn't just a pet, she was my soul cat. I only had 3.5 years with her, but they were the best 3.5 years of my life. It was my first time going through anything like this. I felt peace, so much peace. I know that if I was making the wrong decision, Dr April would have told me, as she mentioned she'd told other clients beforehand if euthanasia isn't the right choice. Dr April even arrived early (on a Saturday morning) as I mentioned I was free before the confirmed appointment time. That meant a lot, because I was unsure if Mochi would be able to hang on, and didn't want to prolong her suffering. What strikes me most is the dignity, warmth and care with which not only Mochi but my husband and I were treated (Dr April even greeted my elderly mother-in-law so graciously). We weren't 'just another customer' to rush through. Mochi was treated like the queen she is and always will be - we are just helping her to pass through this life so she can be released from her pain. As Dr April has over 30 years of veterinary expertise in an emergency setting, you can absolutely trust her judgment, her conduct and her bedside manner - all of which are very pleasant. I could just feel the kindness and care radiating from her being. She let me know what was probably going on with my cat toward this very end of her life, including that she was in severe pain, having suffered neurological collapse, which there is no way back from. That put all the incessant thoughts of 'isn't there something more we can do instead of euthanizing her?' out of my head, and brought me peace. All of this to say, Dr April / Codapet is the only one I'd want to help me and my pets through a time like this, as the entire thing was handled so carefully and lovingly. It gave me such peace, and this only happened this morning so I'm still processing the loss of my fur daughter. I cannot thank April enough for her help today. read more

CodaPet is wonderful service that I can not recommend more highly. My beloved senior tuxedo cat Neemo got diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in his mouth and jaw and began to decline very very rapidly. When it was time to say goodbye, I dreaded taking him to a vet clinic or ER wheresc we would have to ride in the car, sit in a waiting room with people and other pets, and not know exactly when we would be seen for a last-minute or walk in appointment. With CodaPet, I was able to book an appointment for a vet to come to my apartment the following day. Clicking "schedule" was emotionally one of the most difficult moments, but in my heart I knew it was time. The website itself was very very user friendly and pricing was transparent which was wonderful for someone scheduling something in a state of distress. Some times/days were cheaper than others, so if budget is a concern, you can take a look and choose a time that fits what you hope to pay. I paid around $575 for the service itself, and then another $400ish for the individual cremation, ashes, and clay paw print etc. Booking further out is cheaper, but I felt my case was quite urgent at this point so I was fortunate enough to be able to afford a next-day appointment. It was honestly the same as what you'd pay at the emergency vet. But back to the service itself. Dr. Becca and vet tech assistant Morgan in Los Angeles were absolute angels on one of my hardest days ever. When they arrived at my apartment, Dr. Becca and Morgan greeted me and Neemo kindly, and talked with me about his life and what kind of cat he was which really helped me feel more at ease. She then talked me through exactly what the procedure would entail and what I would expect. She gently talked with me and to Neemo throughout the procedure in a calm voice which relieved both his anxiety and mine immensely until his final moments. I was then given a moment alone with my baby to hold him and to say my final goodbye. I truly could not have asked or hoped for a better goodbye for my precious feline child. I had to schedule euthanasia services for my 14 yr old cat who suffered from kidney failure. It was such a difficult decision. I was recommended at-home services because my vet hospital only did euthanasia on certain days and my Luna was in a very bad condition. I looked through Coda Pet and I found Dr. April Le Blanc's profile and knew she had to be the one to help guide us through the process. She was quick to reply to my inquiry. I saw on their website that the date and time wasn't within their template availability so I sent and inquiry and followed up with a comment about my specific request around a time the next day. Dr Le Blanc so so courteous in accommodating my emergency request. She came over in the evening and my family was there with us for the process. She was succinct in explaining the entire process and also pointed out the points where if I changed my mind and wasn't ready that I could stop, and exactly which point in which Luna would be crossing the rainbow bridge. I feel so appreciative that after sitting with Luna and my other cat Draco, both cats were so comfortable with Dr. Le Blanc and she assured me that based upon Luna's disposition and what I told her about her diagnosis, that my decision to let her go as she was declining in health was a humane choice, and that I had done all I could to care for Luna for 14 years. She assured me that Luna was not in any pain and she passed peacefully in her favorite spot with her brother and family around her. Before and After, Dr. Le Blanc allowed my family to have some time with Luna to say our goodbyes, she provided ink paw prints and offer a clipping of Luna's hair as keepsakes. When it was time to take Luna away she wrapped her softly in a blanket, and placed her on a soft cushion and quietly carried her out to her car. Coda pet also offers cremation services for an additional fee and I chose this service. Dr. LeBlanc took care of all of the services and about 2 weeks later notified me that Luna's remains were available. She arranged a time to drop them off at my home which was above and beyond the level of service I expected and I appreciated it so much. I am so so happy that I found Dr. April, and that she was the one to take us through this process, she was caring, knowledgeable, and knew when to insert a light joke here and there to keep us smiling through our tears. I could tell that Luna was ready to go, and she felt safe with Dr. Le Blanc. I would 1000% recommend Dr. April Le Blanc for at-home euthanasia of a beloved pet, and although I hope to not have to employ her services for a long time, she'll be recommended to all of my pet owning friends in the future. read more
