My husband and I were so grateful for the kindness and compassion shown during one of the hardest days we've faced. Having our beloved cat Chaussettes peacefully cared for at home made an incredibly difficult goodbye much more gentle and comforting. Dr. April was patient, respectful, and truly caring throughout the entire process. She answered all our questions and let us proceed at our own pace. We couldn't have asked for a more compassionate experience, and we will always be thankful for the dignity and peace she provided for our sweet furbaby.

    Fancy

Dr LeBlanc - I couldn't say thank you more. You were extremely humble and sweet. You're the perfect person for the job you do. My family was so thankful for your kind words and gentle nature. Fancy was a fixture in our lives for 18 years - a very sweet, very feisty old chiweenie. After she stopped being able to stand, walk, eat, on her own, we knew it was time. It was a slow progression and we tried our hardest hoping it was just an illness...every two hours for weeks and weeks and weeks. Special foods and special beds, special harnesses and special attention - a hole is in our hearts but we're happy our baby isn't suffering any longer. She deserved the best and that's what she got. We shopped around, but everything kept leading us back to Dr LeBlanc...if you need this service, you don't need to look anywhere else. CodaPet is what you need when you need it. We are eternally grateful.

Our beloved Lizzy.our loved buddy and companion

Euthanasia for your beloved best buddy and companion is difficult enough to contemplate and carry through. My fourteen year and four month old female yellow Labrador, Lizzy had reached the end of her life's journey. It was my duty to see that the end for her was without stress and consternation. So I decided upon in home treatment. I'm so very glad Dr Lori Thomas was our CodaPet professional. She made us and our loved pet relaxed. Everything went so dignified and without any troubles. We are Thankful. I recommend this significant service to anyone in their time of need.

Cremation services came with an option to choose a wooden box. I chose the handcarved cedar box.

I was scared to hand her over because I didn't trust that I'd actually get her ashes back (I fear some places lump all pet ashes together). I called all over the bay area and no one gave me enough confidence until I spoke to Dr. Ramos from P.E.R. She actually spent a lot of time hearing me out, then making calls to ensure all of my fears were just that- fears. I was treated with respect and kindness. When I brought my baby to the center I was given space and time with her to grieve before she was taken. This was much harder than expected so their set up and process was appreciated. The team was very communicative and helpful. When her ashes were returned to me a couple of weeks later, I was extremely touched that they felt moved by my baby's story and had kindly added little treasures that I will always cherish. I never expected to lose my beloved pet and I don't wish this on anyone, but having this team help get me through it was a gift. If you're reading this it means you're probably grieving your own loss. I'm so sorry. Have faith and confidence here. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Dr. Ramos and Pets Eternal Rest team.

It was already a stressful situation as it was. Thankfully, Pets.RIP was available at any hour of the day, so I made a call to Kwasi who answered my call and answered all my questions that I had. Kwasi is definitely a gem of a person; he is very compassionate, and being a pet owner himself, he understands the stresses that a passing of a beloved pet can have on its owner and family. There was no rush on when he could pick up; he told us to take as much time as we needed and to call him when we were ready for her to be picked up. After he picked her up to have a private cremation done, we kept in contact with him and he provided updates on when her urn would be ready. After 10 days from when he picked her up, he contacted me to let me know that her urn was ready. He went above and beyond and drove here to personally bring her to us. We would have been okay with having to pick her up from where ever she was, but the fact that Kwasi did this really touched us. Again, he is truly a gem of a person. Her urn was a beautiful sheesam urn with a nameplate of Delilah on it. Seeing it made me cry because I missed her, but also happy that she is finally back with us. If you ever need a private cremation (they also offer communal cremation) for a beloved pet that passed, please do not hesitate to contact Pets.RIP. The prices are reasonable, and they will take care of you from the moment you contact them until the time you receive your pet's urn.

I wanted to shoutout the staffer who helped us, Kass, who was very friendly, responsive and respectful and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. There are some options when a pet passes. We scheduled our vet to help us with in-home euthanasia, and we made plans to bring our dog to Golden State. They had a room available to us to say goodbye, we even brought our other dog with us to say goodbye. The have a variety of package options (custom urns, etc.), we had our own plans in mind but Kass was not too pushy in trying to upsell options. When you dropoff a pet for cremation, they say they will turn that around in 7-10 business days, I think they did it in 6. It feels a little weird to review a pet crematorium, but we have another dog at the moment, and we'd consider using Golden State again.

That said, I just wanted to say thank you to Shane again for his true patience, professionalism, kindness and understanding throughout the whole process. A friend recommended me to Shane and Golden State Pet Crematorium after she lost her fur baby. When the time came after Indy; my dog, passed away, I contacted them the next day. They said that we could come in asap and that there was no wait period, which I appreciated. On top of that, he empathized and was patient with me when I sobbed on the phone because it happened so soon. Which I truly appreciated since it proved to me that Shane is a real one. Then what saved me from full blown drowning after, is finding Pets Rest. Where I could stay with Lucy's remains, and all the way through. This option to witness was a must for me. The chapel, the grounds, the employees-everyone and everything about this business is absolutely beautiful. Perhaps an example of something I've heard of called "sacred commerce". They're not trying to get rich here. In fact I wonder how they afford to be so fair and generous. Taking no shortcuts, but going the extra miles to create and maintain such a gorgeous heartwarming setting. Giving us plenty of time to grieve and say goodbye, in their Saint Charles Chapel.
