We had a very disappointing experience here\…read more We purchased shocks for our 2018 Toyota Tundra and called ahead to ask about installation\. We were quoted what we felt was a fair price\. Before the work was done, we specifically discussed the setting we wanted and made it very clear that our goal was for the front and rear of the truck to sit even\. When we picked up the truck, the front end was noticeably higher than the rear\. The owner explained that he had decided to set the shocks at their highest setting because he thought it would better match our previous setup\. Unfortunately, that was not what we asked for, and it did not achieve the result we had specifically requested\. We agreed the shocks needed to be reset to low, or medium at the very highest\. They were ultimately set on low, and the truck now sits the way it did with our previous setup\. What was especially disappointing was that we were charged for the additional labor required to correct a setting we had not requested in the first place\. In our opinion, if a shop chooses to disregard a customer's specific instructions and the work then has to be redone, the customer should not be charged for correcting that decision\. We expected fair treatment from a local business in our little town, and unfortunately we did not feel we received it\. We will not be taking our vehicles there in the future\.

I go and my parents tell me to go to Pete. Pete however said he isn't the best with Volkswagens so he recommended me to go down to the end to Kane. That's what I did and he immediately came to help me even though he was obviously busy with other cars. I told him the full story and so he plugged the car in to figure out everything that was going wrong with the car. After this he gave me his best recommendations for my next steps. He gave very clear and quick communication to me. He was extremely willing to help with my situation so we scheduled another visit for a deeper inspection. He did an incredible job on the inspection. He has fair pricing, is super communicative, kind, etc. I can't recommend Kane enough to someone looking for basic maintenance or a hefty job, he is incredible and everyone should be going to Kanes for their cars needs.

(This posting is an update on a prior post). Kane, I just…read morereturned from a four-day trip to Fresno. On my return home on the I-5 climbing the Grapevine there was a two-vehicle collision. One of the vehicles was flipped onto its roof. There was an injured person being attended to on the shoulder of the road. So we had to slow down from the posted 65 MPH speed limit to bumper to bumper traffic. My new brakes and rotors performed extremely well. Afterwards, just prior to the descent on the I-5 into Castaic there was a big rig accident that forced Cal Trans to merge four traffic lanes to one traffic lane. A constant stop and go for 40 minutes. Finally, I was on the 126 approaching Fillmore when the upcoming traffic light changed to yellow. I was in "No Mans Land", I needed to make a split decision. Do I press down hard on the gas pedal and attempt to beat the red traffic light and risk seeing flashing blue lights from the CHP officer waiting at the intersection or do I brake and hopefully don't end up in the middle of the intersection causing an accident. I chose the latter. My new front brake pads and high performance rotors grabbed and I was able to stop behind the crossing. No skidding, no screeching tires, just a quiet smooth stop on a dime. As the CHP officer drove through the intersection, as he completed a left turn onto the Eastbound 126 he gave me a nod. A nod of approval. Then the driver to my right gave me a thumbs up. The "power stop system" you and Robert installed on my Tacoma performed exceptional! I can't express my overwhelming gratitude.
