Went to Code 3 because of coolant leaking from my 21 year old Dodge Cummins. I had searched "everywhere" under the hood for a leak. Well, apparently I didn't check everywhere because Todd found it in about 5 minutes. It took a mirror with about a 20" handle and a bright flashlite. He tightened the leaking hose clamp with a socket wrench and long extension. I appreciate his expertise and felt relieved it was not more serious. Todd would take no money for this repair. read more

I was referred to Todd by someone who stated "I do my own work but if there's something I don't have time to do, Todd is the only one I trust with my truck." Well, this guy was right and it was 100% worth traveling across the two valleys to Code 3. It was hard to find a diesel mechanic that was willing to install some performance parts for me without raking me over the coals to do it. I wasn't looking for a place that could "figure it out" because I did find a few of those. I took an uber, a train, a bus, and drove my truck back 6 hours when I bought it....so I'm not the type to just get/do whatever is easiest or cheapest. I wanted a place that knew what they were doing and took pride in their work. They know a unicorn when they see one. Todd's hourly rate is extremely fair and he's more than fair about the hours he did work on it. I was pleased to see him round the number down unlike a lot of shops that give you the "it was 5 and 3/4 hours so we'll call it 6 because blah blah blah." I have been going to Code 3 for about 4 years now, ever since Todd (Owner and Operator) was referred to me by another long term customer. I first brought my truck in for simple maintenance.
