My friend and I decided to try Code 58 for our monthly dinner together. When we walked in there was a strong smell of Fabluloso. So it's clean, but the smell is too strong. I would rather smell delicious food smells when I walk in a restaurant. We had never been so we took a while looking over the menu. No one came over to ask if we needed help and we almost had to flag down some to come to the register. I had been to Viva Las Arepas and was hoping these Arepas would be like theirs. They aren't so I was a little disappointed. The beef was good in mine, but it is supposed to Gouda. It didn't seem like Gouda. Also it got dry in the middle. I went looking for sauces for us, but there are only packs of mustard, ketchup and mayo. We both agreed there should be sauces, offered and available. There was no one behind the counter when we were looking, so I guess I could have gone to find someone to ask. They may have sauce upon request. They have fountain drinks and drinks in cans (fantas, which I like).

This was my first visit and I want to go back. The restaurant is new so it was clean. The service was pretty good. I asked the order taker what I needed to order to make sure I would come back. He made a few suggestions and I went with the patacones - maracucho. The meal was huge and I could only eat half of it. Looking forward to my next visit.

This is not Mexican food. This is not Tex-Mex. If you are looking for either or something even moderately similar to those foods, look elsewhere. Code 58 (the international dialing country code for Venezuela) restaurant tucked next to the Painted Tree market in a Highland Village strip mall is a welcomed addition to the multi-cultural food scene in the area. The food is fresh and the portions are deceptively huge (lots of protein, whether that is the steak, chicken, or pork offerings). You definitely will not leave hungry. There were four of us and we asked the owner to give us what she felt were good choices to reflect their kitchen. We ended up with a Patacones (traditional Venezuelan "sandwich" where the fried/smashed plantains act as the bread) Maracucho (a name for someone from city of Maracaibo) and it was huge! Good amounts of meat (we did steak) and great creamy and flavor with the blend of cabbage/mayo. Warning, if you don't like the shredded lettuce/mayo/sour cream/queso fresco mixtures let them know so they can adjust as this was a consistent theme in the dishes. We also tried the Cabimera, another traditional Venezuelan arepa sandwich which was equally good, if not a little better. The arepas are perfectly cooked. Service is attentive with what I'm guessing are family members helping run the business and overall great experience to try Latin American, non-Mexican food.

I've been there multiple times and it is always clean, great food and good service. Thanks!

Everyone was so nice, and the food is on another level. You will be full and happy after coming to this place for sure.

The space is nice and clean. The service was excellent and they provided suggestions for my first time ordering. I had the Arepa de carne asada and empanada that had beef, plantains, beans and cheese. Was so good. Definitely coming back

The food was amazing and everything was super clean. The person who took our order was really helpful in explaining the menu and highlighting the favorites! We loved it and will definitely be back!

The restaurant is spotless, the service is very respectful they really listen to your words and match you up with appropriate meal for your hunger, this is authentic Venezuelan, authentic Latin music, El Hefe Ricardo is a Gentlemen Venezuela ; is a very respectful man, please remember Flo Mo Show Respect get Respect In All The World, don't forget the juiciest meat on the pork chop is closest to the bone . The Picante sauce is a little spicy but not too spicy, the green sauce is best on tostones, the black beans with special blend is very tasty top secret blend of herb and spices. They service Door Dash, Uber Eats, no necessito Grub Hub. The bathroom is clean, fresh and comfortable. 5 star .

The restaurant is clean and modern with a bright and welcoming aesthetic. The waitperson on staff was incredibly attentive and friendly; she was not confident in her English but my Spanish and her English combined were enough that all of our food (even with change requests) came out exactly as ordered and cooked to perfection. If you don't speak Spanish, don't let this dissuade you, she was very knowledgeable about the menu and knew exactly what my non-Spanish companions wanted without my subpar linguistic assistance. She made fantastic recommendations and accurately told us that everything on the menu was good. The menu had a great variety from shawarma to empanadas. The waitperson was very good about proactively telling us what they were out of (only a couple of things--lasagna and soup). I don't think you can go wrong with anything you can choose. I ordered the Pepito with mushrooms and chicken. It was AMAZING. Perfectly seasoned and so satisfying. My husband ordered a cordon bleu and a fish empanada along with a pizza pastele. Our daughter ordered the Venezuelan take on chicken shawarma. They greatly enjoyed their meals and we all enjoyed the mini empanadas we shared (two pork, two beef, and two chicken is the default). I also savored every drop of my Especial Super Sandys cocktail. The only drawback to this place is it is right next to my work, so I'm going to be constantly ordering from here or hating myself for not doing so. Edited to add: They were open until 11pm on the Tuesday night we went; some places online erroneously state 6pm as closing time.

It's advertised as Venezuelan cuisine and we had no idea what that meant. However, we do enjoy empanadas and they listed them on their menu. We ordered several pasteles and 1 empanada. I'm not sure what the difference is....they're both like a hand-held fried pie. The E's are larger than the P's. The ground beef variety was our favorite....VERY good. The ham and cheese was the next best. The pizza flavor was OK, but wouldn't order it again. The chicken variety was our least favorite. The creamy cilantro dipping sauce was amazing!! The staff was very attentive. Prices are fair. We can't wait to have more of those flavorful ground beef empanadas and try the other varieties too.
