    Amazing fajitas
    Angie H.

Had a work dinner at Los Caminos last night, and we had a fantastic time!! The service was great and food was delicious. We started with queso, guacamole and the shrimp appetizers. They were all very good. The carne asada tacos were very tasty, and the chicken fajitas were amazing! The chicken was cooked perfectly...the best I've ever had. I had a side salad which was fresh but didn't really like the citrus dressing. I do wish they would have had some ranch. The halibut tacos were flavorful but the fish was a bit thin and overcooked. The crème brûlée and bread pudding were both delicious, as well. We also enjoyed the house margarita. I recommend adding gran marnier to make it a bit stronger. I would definitely dine there again for the fajitas!

Meh. Really meh. This place is absolutely beautiful inside, but I wish the curtains matched the drapes, if you know what I mean. Sadly, the food did not live up to the space. It was very mid. I ordered the mole enchiladas and it tasted like Costco chicken mixed with onions, stuffed into a Kroger corn tortilla, topped with maybe a tablespoon of mole sauce and barely heated through. If there had been more sauce, or maybe sauce included inside too...Even the beans were kind of flavorless, which is hard to pull off in Mexican food. There were no lunch specials and the place was completely empty, which probably should have been a clue. I will say the chips and salsa were good, so credit where credit is due. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, the bathrooms are also lovely, there is plenty of parking, and our server Vicki was very nice. But I come to restaurants for the food first and foremost, and unfortunately this place just did not deliver.

Beautiful restaurant with an amazing fun vibe. The staff seem friendly. Our waiter however took a bit to take our order and bring our orders. We ordered the hibiscus margarita and they brought us chips with salsa. The chips with salsa and hibiscus margarita were amazing. They also had salsa night which was super fun. I would love to come back one day to try their food.

Super cute place! Decor is great. Bar is huge. We had the molcajete and shared. It's large enough for 2 and it was tasty. We sat at the bar and service was decent.

I have to update my review. I went back with just 4 people. Service was better. Our waiter Eric was great. The food came out warm and was delicious. Even our chips were warm. The salsa was not spicy, but very flavorful. The tuna tartar and the crabmeat rellenos were great. The margaritas are very good.

I came here for dinner last night with my friend. We arrived in time to order from the happy hour menu and we sat on the patio. When they said patio, I was expecting outdoor seating, but it wasn't FYI. The restaurant is very clean and beautiful and the people working there checked in with us multiple times and were very friendly. We started with 2 hotbiscus margaritas and they were beautiful, flavor was ok. We also ordered the flomo guac to start out with. It was ok. Their house chips and salsa are ok. My friend said that when she was there before the owner talked about how everything was house made...the chips dont seem house made to me. They remind me of chips straight out of a bag...but thats just me. We ordered a few more items off the happy hour menu to share- barbacoa street tacos, tuna tacos and elote. The tacos didn't have much flavor and the elote wasn't great. This is an ok spot but seems pricey for the quality. I would also like to add that somebody sitting at the table next to me ordered scallops, and when they came out, they were very fragrant, in a seafood smell kind of way, which just made me think that they were not fresh. I love scallops but seafood is not supposed to smell fishy.

My husband and I went to Los Caminos as a special treat for my birthday. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and immaculately clean! One feels like they have stepped into a resort when they step inside. The service was very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a lot of unique drinks to choose from (we need to return soon for one of their happy hours!). Their food was delicious! I noticed others complaining about the portion sizes, but we thought the portions were perfect...not too small and not too big. And we had left room for dessert! Los Caminos' Creme Brulee was AMAZING! We were not expecting that from a Mexican restaurant, but do not miss it!

We love this place. The decor and vibe is lovely and their patio is amazing and well planned for all seasons. Other times we've visited the waitstaff have been excellent and the food is very good. Finally we aren't given massive portions and never leave feeling bloated and over indulged. Ps- The crème brule is amazing.

Had a really good meal here with my girlfriends for a brunch/lunch. The restaurant is super nice! Love the decor and the vibe. Nice for a date night as well. I ordered the Ostras asadas or wood grilled oysters with Chimichurri sauce. I also ordered the salmon dish. The salmon did lack seasoning but I quite enjoyed the fresh taste of the whole dish. It wasn't heavy and felt rather healthy, so I enjoyed. My friends both enjoyed their dishes - the steak salad a was delicious, I tried a lil bit of hers. That steak with the Chimichurri sauce would be chefs kiss together. The mocktail I ordered also was very delicious. I had regretted ordering when I seen another flavored mocktail I thought I might enjoy more, but to my surprise, the blackberry fizz was perfection. Also, the chocolate cake was divine. I wish it was served with ice cream tho. The chips and salsa were also solid. The salsa had a really good flavor. Our server was sweet and she checked on us quite frequently. There was a small mishap once I received my ticket and seen I was charged the dinner price for my salmon, but was giving a brunch menu where the salmon was priced differently. The issue was corrected though easily. But something to note just incase, always check what you're being charged. We all enjoyed our meal here though. Will definitely come back to try more menu items.

My husband and I had been wanting to return to this restaurant ever since we were turned away for not having a reservation on Valentine's Day. We finally made one on a Sunday afternoon around 5pm. They have several hostesses greet you as you walk in. As we walked past more than several empty booths, the hostess sat us at the smallest table in the entire restaurant - Not a very good 1st impression! I would have understood if it was busy but it wasn't at all with plenty of tables available so we ended up moving. Our server, Eric was very nice. He made some great suggestions which we ended up getting a spicy margarita and a coco mojito. Both tasted and looked nice but neither very strong. The food tasted very fresh and had good flavor. Luckily, there is a whole bowl of tortilla chips on the house to make up for the 3 chips that come with the ceviche portion! My husband also complimented how much he likes the salsa. Overall, food wise it was all very nice but a bit over the top in my opinion. They have a nice variety including a lot of seafood options on their menu, but I don't think we'll be back. There are other higher end restaurants in town that serve delicious tex mex that don't have as much of a boujee feel. As someone in the Architecture field, I would say the restaurant design is fantastic. Beautifully decorated and very thought out. We saw it being built and after waiting for months to try it out I can't say it's somewhere we'd like to bring family... It was overall a decent experience but neither one of us felt like it was a good representation of the hometown feel of Flower Mound and was more like a high end Dallas exclusive.

Came here for dinner and had the fajitas. They were good but I ordered a watermelon cocktail that the waiter recommended but it wasn't my fav. Service was good and the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere.

Upscale ambiance Unique Mexican food (not your typical burrito, enchilada, quesadilla) Fast and respectable service We will definitely be returning for date night! Probably should make online reservations if you are going on a weekend, but we went on a Tuesday weeknight, and there was no wait at all. Decent vegetarian options. The flavor of all the unique dishes was incredible!

I have been excited for this place to open and have been following it's progress since I first heard about it coming to the Lakeside area. Finally made it in last night. I had pretty high expectations and they were met. The menu was pretty exciting for me. Lot's of seafood options! We tried the Tuna tartare, Snapper ceviche, wood grilled oysters, and split the Molcajete. They were all great, nothing I wouldn't order again. My favorite was the Snapper Ceviche with watermelon. Was a little concerned the watermelon would be overpowering. It was very balanced. Portions were larger than expected. Prices were very fair in my opinion. Frozen Paloma's! Let's not forget the restaurant is gorgeous. I own and operate a Asian fusion/sushi restaurant. Pretty picky with food and service. Always looking for great local restaurants. We found another one, will be in our rotation for sure. Great job on Los Caminos, guys!

As you can see from posted pics here on Yelp the restaurant is classy with a brasserie ambiance and vibe. We elected to be seated in one of the very comfortable booths across from the attractive bar with its red, upholstered swivel stools. My wife opted for a glass of Pinot Grigio and I a Sazerac. The Sazarac was OK, but overpowered in this pour by the bitters (and I'm one who loves both Angostura and Peychaud bitters. I drink them both straight whenever I have a slightly queasy stomach and enjoy them straight). For starters we shared a bowl of French onion soup which on this chilly early winter morning was a comforting and savory start to our brunch meal. My wife went with the eggs Benedict and I decided to try the Oeufs en Cocotte, a dish I encountered here for the first time ever. The eggs Benedict, my wife reports, was excellent. Perfectly poached eggs, large slices of a tender and flavorful ham over a croissant-like puff pastry that had been split and grilled to perfection in butter on the flat top, topped with a nicely done Hollandaise sauce. Happily for me, she left a half of the butter grilled pastry. It was divine. Likewise the Oeufs en Cocotte, eggs poached in a shallot cream sauce, was heavenly. Cannot wait to enjoy this again! Perfectly cooked eggs in a flavorful, steaming hot, shallot and cream sauce. So good. Our server was perfectly attentive and very helpful, answering clearly our questions about the preparations of the dishes. So looking forward to our next visit.

Also, the friend we took one of thost times wants to return already because the beef bourguinon was still cooking when we were there. We have really nice experiences in Parker Square in general, but this was definitely a highlight. Friendly, welcoming servers and a neat atmosphere. Menus seem to change frequently, which is a good thing. My dad had the eggs in cream... when he gets quiet and doesn't say anything about his food, it means it's really good and he doesn't want to share it... when I stuck my knife in it and tasted it, that was confirmed, it was deliciously creamy and garlicy. I had the souffle the first time and the French Dip the second time. My mom had a smoked salmon salad and really enjoyed that. Go for brunch, go for lunch, go for dinner. Yummy!

Here I am again, 11 years later…read more What's good? I guess this place has made it 11 years. What's funny? The prices haven't changed, and it's likely how they've stayed open this long; margins have to be phenomenal. 1 wrap (Southwest Wrap, no customization), 1 small salad with grilled tofu, no extras or sides or drinks, $35. (Both items had protein added at about $4 each add, totaling about $14+ each, then tip is added). The inside has been refreshed since 11 years ago, that's nice. Bright, airy, clean. Can't complain. Salad was good; I like being able to make my own. Quality is fine. Grilled Tofu only gives you 3-4 1.5" (cold) squares though, should have gotten the chicken. I feel for vegetarians/vegans. I miss Salad-and-Go. Market Street doesn't salad bar anymore. Whole Foods still does and has other options, too, so it's still hard to say this is anywhere near worth it. But I guess that's the price you pay for fresh and healthy. Too bad it's out of reach for normal folks, price-wise. If the small salad was a couple bucks cheaper this could be a winner. To knock a star off, on top of it being painfully expensive, I would expect delightful service. Instead, blank stares and robotic moves; nobody likes their job who works there apparently? I don't expect fake smiles, but service is part of the cost and value add.
