Typically, they look out for you and not spend more than what is needed. The cost for inspection or to see what is wrong kinda hits you, sometimes you have to wait while for an answer or return call but overall, great people, great mechanics / ownership, etc. The email with pictures and such is a great services. I peaked through the window and the entire team was holding hands and praying! Awesome! Every time I have been here they have been great! The front desk employees are so kind and the mechanics are always willing to explain what is going on in detail. Just wanted to leave a positive review for these guys as my interaction with them was excellent. My wife traveled from Chicago to Nashville to attend a conference; but 30 minutes into the return trip, her car broke down. I called Cody's to see if they could assist and they were able to arrange everything. It was the end of the day, but they made a special effort to arrange towing so it would be at their shop by the next morning. They had an estimate to me quickly, the repairs were carried out quickly, and the car was ready to go by the end of the day. As a result she was able to get back safely after only a one day delay. Nobody enjoys having (or paying for) automotive repairs, but having a place like Cody's to turn to in a time of need was indeed a pleasant experience! I had an issue with my car that I had taken to a very popular (and pricey) mechanic in Franklin to repair. This other mechanic was more convenient to my work, whereas Cody's is further away and I would have had to figure out some alternate transportation to get to and from the shop and work. I'd been to Cody's before and had a good experience, but this time I just needed the repair fast, so I bit the bullet and took it to the other more conveniently located and expensive mechanic. It took two trips and $130 of my money (simply to replace the battery that I realize now didn't need to be replaced. Batteries for my car cost half that) before I decided to cut my losses. The problem kept happening, and the other mechanic insisted they'd checked everything out and everything looked good. On a whim, I stopped by Cody's about 15 minutes before close one day on my way home from work to see if I could schedule a time to drop it off so they could try to diagnose the problem. Cody overheard me describing the issue to the woman in the office, asked if he could take a quick peek under the hood right then, and within five minutes, he said he thought he'd found and fixed the problem. It was a loose wire, something both of us couldn't believe the other mechanic didn't catch. He said that's the first thing he thought to check. He tightened it up, said I didn't owe him a dime, and sent me on my way. The problem with my car hasn't happened since. Go to Cody's. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS PLACE! I moved here from Memphis, TN and used the same mechanic for 16 years! It's hard to find one you would trust with your life so I can really only say it was a God thing when I was led to Cody's door. I was having an issue with the fuel pump on my mini van and two other mechanics quoted me over $700 to fix it. I had a bad feeling so I asked around to a TON of people for a good, hard-working, honest mechanic. Cody's name came up several times. I took it to him and his team found out it WASN'T the fule pump...it was some other part that Chrysler was having an issue with. They charged me over $250 LESS than the other places. They also informed me I had two active recalls on my van and I have never had a mechanic do that. (Even my guy in Memphis.) I felt like I was a member of his family he was looking out for and the entire staff was so nice and pleasant! Thank you for taking care of me and keeping my family safe! I was recommended to Cody's after I had a belt issue and then found that my current auto mechanic went out of business. Took my baby there and not only did they squeeze me in their already booked schedule but gave her top priority. I all but harassed them with calls requesting updates but Brittany (don't kill me if I misspelled!!) was amaze-balls and had the patience of a saint. Ricky and Cody both handled Ol' Gerty with care and made sure she was good for another year. Until I move out of state I will continue to bring my business here from spark plugs to engine rebuilding. Family owned type small automotive shop. Very nice people with a reputation for being honest and trustworthy. I bought a used vehicle from them for my son and can only attest to that experience. The car was in good shape and they vowed to stand behind the condition of the vehicle as they promise they thoroughly check the vehicles out before selling and perform any repairs needed. I did not give them 5 stars because they did not come off of the price even 100$ even though it had not been detailed, was missing floor mats and they did not scan for emissions testing which they said they would. But the price was fair compared to dealerships. Also, if you buy a car from them you may need to run your own car fax report. But they do not charge hundreds in processing fees like dealerships so there is the trade off. And it was a much more personable experience. read more
