Well deserved 5 star rating for Ron Cody and his team at Cody's Pool Service, first class professional pool service. We are brand new residents in Roseville and first time pool owners. Prior homeowner was nice enough to prepay pool service with his former pool service provider for the Summer, but that ended up being a terrible situation. The former pool guy put forth next to no effort in cleaning the pool, didn't check the pool sweep, which was not operating properly, was not testing the water for chemical balance and within the first three weeks of being at our new home the pool water turned green, the chemicals had gotten way out of balance, our family of six could no longer use the pool in the middle of Summer and he said we needed to drain the entire pool, approx. 18K gallons, and refill to start over. His only comment was "Sorry, guess I should have tested the water sooner..." Seemed crazy to me that was the only solution. We are in the middle of a drought, how could I dump that much water and refill???? Called Cody's Pool Service, Ron came out personally, assessed the pool, was willing to try and treat the pool to clean up the algae and regain the chemical balance to avoid draining the pool. He was able to address various problems, had his team install a new filter and pump, which was installed two days after his first visit as we found out the old equipment was inadequate to handle a pool of our size and was apparently plumbed incorrectly, which resulted in an improper flow of water through the filter, leaving the water virtually unfiltered. Within a week of my first call, Ron ended up coming out personally 3 times. First to initially assess and treat, then to ensure the equipment was installed properly and to check it was functioning as it should, he provided a quick crash course on how to set the timer, etc., he treated the water a second time and administered the algae treatment and then a third visit to follow up and check up on the algae treatment results and again test & treat the water and brush the pool walls for the 3rd time. All of this within the first week of my initial call. Needless to say, Ron and his team are extraordinary, total professionals and they handled our pool with the same care as if it were their own. We are now set up for weekly service and hope to have Cody's Pool Service tend to our pool for a long time. read more

Ron and his guys are amazing! Our sump pump clogged during the last big storm mid March and our yard flooded, turning our pool into a muddy mess. Ron has done a great job for us on many occasions, so with our annual Easter Party fast approaching and our pool swamped, it was a no brainer who to call. I'm no slouch when it comes to pool maintenance, but I know when I need help (that would be when my wife gives me that "are you kidding me" look). I called Ron on Monday evening. He returned my call the same night around 7:30pm. He showed up personally the next morning when I was at work, found a problem with our filtration system, corrected it, treated and brushed the pool and returned the following day to be sure we were on the right track. Ron cleaned the filters again and by the time I got home from work Wednesday night, our pool was looking blue again and the "I love you honey" look had returned to my wife's face. That is the personal service that sets Ron apart. Ron does not normally maintain our pool, but I can just add this to the list of times Ron has answered the call and taken care of the problems I couldn't manage myself.
