I am very pleased with Matthews pool service, their technician Chad shows up like clockwork on Thursday's for weekly chemical pool service. Matt was very good to answer questions regarding your equipment. They also come out once per year to clean the filters for a nominal charge. Switched to Matthews from my other pool service over an incident with my senior golden PLUS every month or even week they kept switching my service days. (Prob 7 times in a year) Never knew what time of day they would show up. Labor Day Weekend... Pool party in 24 hours and my pump goes out. Frantic ...I try to reach my regular pool guys ( still no answer) . Find this guy and leave him a voicemail at 8pm Saturday. We bought a house with a pool back in September 2013. The pool equipment was 30 years old and I knew I did not want to do the chemicals myself. I called about 10 places to get estimates and to start with Mike was the only one to call me back so he was at the top of my list to begin with. After 9 months of pool service, I am glad Mike called me back. The pool is sparkling clean. The best part is he does not just dump chlorine in the pool, he really works to get the right balance. When swimming there is never that smell of chlorine that comes along with so many pools and yet our pool is in perfect shape. Mike offers great advice and does not nickel and dime you to death. His cost appear to be equivalent to everyone else in the area. We had a problem at the start of this swimming season with some algae growing, Mike made a recommendation on a product, he put it in and now we have not problem with algae and still no chlorine smell. I hired Matthews to repair leaks in the pool equipment plumbing. Frankly, the PVC work and the maze of valves installed 15 years ago a bit kludge in design and needed re-work beyond just fixing the leak. Mike and his lead repair tech Nelson fixed the leak promptly, and truly cleaned up the "plumbing maze" that I believe has left me with a more efficient system. The work was done on time and the price to me was fair for the work completed. The rates are very affordable and you can count on them to be consistent and show up every week on the same day to service your pool. They also leave a sign in and out sheet on you pool equipment so you know exactly what day and time they were there and serviced your pool. As a transplant from WA who doesn't know anything about pools they have always been great about walking us through everything and being patient with us for not knowing what to do with any issues that come up.
