We had gotten an error around: no cell power 2 - and he helped narrow it down to it being an issue with the control board, and not our salt cell. He shared a ton of knowledge, specifically around this exact issue and how he's done many replacements and upgrades before. The Pool Pump Pros (owner/operator Jason) came out a few weeks ago to replace a broken single-speed pump with a variable-speed one (plus add a 3-way diverter valve. I engaged him via Yelp and attached a few photos of the existing filter/pump setup, so he was able to provide an estimate without having to check it out in person. His estimate was similar to others I received (from other folks who did come out in person). I liked that his company is focused primarily on replacing/repairing pool equipment and felt comfortable enough with my online communication with him to engage his services. I had my pool pump stop working during the hottest weather. Worried that my pool would turn green , I called Jason. My first thought was I would need a pump so he gave me a quote for replacing it and it was the best price compared to two other estimates. So I had him come out and after a diagnostic on my pool equipment, he found burnt wiring on a control panel and incorrect setup in the pump settings when originally set up. Needless to say he did an excellent job and was able to repair it. He charged me for the service charge and I was so happy it wasn't the pump I gladly payed it. I called Pool Pump Pros to come out and see if they could fix my Hayward H 400 pool heater. Jason came and diagnosed what he thought was the problem, ordered parts, and then came back, installed the parts, but the heater still wasn't working properly. He said that I really needed someone with a lot of experience with this model heater and recommended two other companies to help me out. He could just as usually have said that I needed a brand new heater, but he didn't. After two trips to my house, ordering parts, and then having to return the parts, Jason refused to take any payment for all his time and effort. He said he would just mark it down to a learning experience for himself. I'm very appreciative of how honest he was in his evaluations, and how helpful he has been to find someone with experience with my type of heater. I had put through a quote request to this company because our pump stopped running and our digital controller stopped responding.
