Great communication, showed up as scheduled, addressed a few additional things that were needed. For example, our motor failed. Well, my attention was on the motor. He also suggested that the electrical flex conduit and connections to it needed to be replaced since it was severely cracking-which totally made sense. His knowledge and experience are apparent. I also appreciate that he installs reputable equipment that doesn't result in callbacks. He also replaced the rubber seal rings as his standard protocol. Cheapest part but a lot of other companies don't do this. When it comes time for us to replace all of our equipment, this is the company I would go to for advice, new equipment, and installation. We had gotten an error around: no cell power 2 - and he helped narrow it down to it being an issue with the control board, and not our salt cell. He shared a ton of knowledge, specifically around this exact issue and how he's done many replacements and upgrades before. The Pool Pump Pros (owner/operator Jason) came out a few weeks ago to replace a broken single-speed pump with a variable-speed one (plus add a 3-way diverter valve. I engaged him via Yelp and attached a few photos of the existing filter/pump setup, so he was able to provide an estimate without having to check it out in person. His estimate was similar to others I received (from other folks who did come out in person). I liked that his company is focused primarily on replacing/repairing pool equipment and felt comfortable enough with my online communication with him to engage his services. I had communication with Jason 2 separate times on quotes for heating options for my pool. They spanned about a year apart. First of all Jason is very easy and convenient to work with. He will be able to give you a quote or feedback on what you want to do promptly. He likely wont need to waste your time coming to your house just to give you a quote. We live in modern times and he takes advantage of that. I just sent him photos of what he needed to see and what I wanted to do and he was able to tell me how much I would be looking at spending. Pool stuff is a specialty and the general public won't know what they are dealing with and will have a lot of questions. Or you might be someone who is very OCD or detailed and just wants to know everything. A LOT of other pool companies will be annoyed by your questions and make you know it. However, Jason never made me feel like I was annoying him with all my questions. He answered every single question and concern I had. And when he got to work in person he did the same. I had a heat pump installed and the work was clean. Making sure everything was perfect and his workspace was tidy as well. I had my pool pump stop working during the hottest weather. Worried that my pool would turn green , I called Jason. My first thought was I would need a pump so he gave me a quote for replacing it and it was the best price compared to two other estimates. So I had him come out and after a diagnostic on my pool equipment, he found burnt wiring on a control panel and incorrect setup in the pump settings when originally set up. I called Pool Pump Pros to come out and see if they could fix my Hayward H 400 pool heater. Jason came and diagnosed what he thought was the problem, ordered parts, and then came back, installed the parts, but the heater still wasn't working properly. He said that I really needed someone with a lot of experience with this model heater and recommended two other companies to help me out. He could just as usually have said that I needed a brand new heater, but he didn't. After two trips to my house, ordering parts, and then having to return the parts, Jason refused to take any payment for all his time and effort. He said he would just mark it down to a learning experience for himself. I'm very appreciative of how honest he was in his evaluations, and how helpful he has been to find someone with experience with my type of heater.
