Wow! My older pool filter unit was leaking from the exhaust outlet on the filter compartment. And…read morethe lines had a lot of air in them as evident from the floating pool sweep and the air coming out every morning at start up. I was thinking a replacement of the entire filter system was in order. Called NPS to take a look, and had to set up an appointment. Nelson from NPS inspected the system and ran the filter. I was out of town at the moment, and he called me and gave me some great advice. He agreed it was old system, but wanted me to troubleshoot a couple of things before deciding to replace. Even though the replacement price seemed reasonable to me. I got home from vacation, followed Nelson's instructions. After removing the filters and testing the pressure without the filters, I decided to buy new filters myself and replace. Runs great! No replacement of the system needed. The trip to diagnose was free and didn't cost me a thing for NPS. They didn't try to sell me something I thought I needed. They were only interested in finding the cause of the issue and letting me know what should be done. I still have an older filter system, but it is running great. The last thing I heard from him was a service I was going to be provided and was never provided. I attempted to contact him via text and phone and never received anything back. Since then, because of his lack of services, I have had to start from the bottom up of getting the chemicals corrected. The last thing I heard from him was that he was going to provide a service and he never did. On top of that, he sent me a bill for the month that he had not contacted me back. As a business owner, and somebody who has been a loyal client to this company I would expect a business owner to at minimum, contact the individual back and have an adult conversation explaining the situation. I would never refer this company to anyone. Since the original owner it has done nothing but go down hill.

As an example, another pool service company said "Standard Green to Clean, $600" but dan came out, inspected my filter, fixed my broken filter manifold for the cost of parts plus his service call. Then, he suggested if i want to get it clean faster I could just run over to the pool supply store and buy dose of Green to Clean for $40. I did just like he said. He's a straight shooter who's honesty saved be a bunch of money! Later, I had a bad algae bloom. Dan came straight out and tested my water, no nonsense, he got down to business. Found that the phosphates were high, told me exactly what treatment chemical I would need and how to use it, and of course offered to do it for me or let me do it and save the money. This is the first time we've owned a home with a pool so we were coming in as complete novices. Greg and I spent about 20 minutes on the phone as our first meeting and he explained the steps he would be taking to understand where a leak would be coming from and what it would probably take to repair. When he showed up he quickly identified the compromised areas and walked me through what he'd like to do to as permanent repairs. We also reviewed all of the pool equipment and he offered his suggestions to either replace or upgrade. He was thorough, honest and was very knowledgeable. We have agreed to initially fix the compromised areas and stop the water loss. After we looked at his high-quality work we had no doubt we should move forward with him and replace most of the pool equipment. He was upfront with his quotes and offered us different options if we wanted to do it in phases. We decided to pull the trigger and replace almost everything including some of the plumbing. There were a couple small surprises when he started taking things apart but again, was upfront and honest about what he'd like to do to make it all work right. It's been about a week now and we could not be more happy with our experience with Greg. He set us up with wireless controls for our pool, pump, lights, and spa. I would hands-down recommend Greg for any pool repair, pool upgrades or pool equipment work.

I hired Andy of Williams Pool Care for basic chemical service on my pool about 8 months ago. All…read morewent well until last week when he started charging me a never-agreed-upon $65 charge for a chemical treatment my pool did not need, PoolRX. When I told him I wouldn't pay for additional services above the $159/month(!!), he cancelled my service, blocked my phone and has refused to credit me on a pro-rated basis for the unused (3 weeks) monthly fee. He will not answer my emails, texts or calls. I was always professional with him, but he is now cheating me out of my money. I will update this review if and when Andy refunds my $100+ unused service fee. I would strongly recommend anyone avoid dealing with this company unless they adopt a professional (and legal) work ethic.

I was a client of Bishop Pool Service for about five years. I inherited them from the previous…read moreowner, so they're well aware of my pool being a saltwater pool. That said, it was always a challenge to get them to use salt instead of chlorine when they would adjust chemicals and clean my pool. No matter how many times I asked, they would forget and continue to use chlorine, which unfortunately was too harsh on my toddler's skin. I made multiple calls about this and reminded the technicians multiple times about this, but I would still get a new technician every six to nine months, and I had to start all over again. The two straws that broke the camel's back were: 1. A 30% increase in monthly pricing 2. A new technician explaining that the reason they can't add salt is because it slows down his route I switched over to Ralphie's Pool Service and am already much, much happier. Ralphie's pricing is significantly less expensive, they bring their own pool salt, and they don't even charge you for the salt. Bishop also charges $300 to clean pool filters compared to $100 with Ralphies. Joel (my technician for the past year at Bishop) was awesome btw.
