This is the mill hallway. The coffee shop is on the right in this photo.

I was looking for a unique coffee bar while in Lowell. I found it! That actually took a minute. Coffee & Cotton is a hidden gem. Literally. If you are on Jackson St where you believe it should be, look for a lit yellow arrow in what looks like an alley. The arrow points to an elevator. The coffee shop is on the 4th floor. I happen to stop in on open mic night. That was a treat that I really enjoyed. The coffee was top notch as well as the service.

The food was delish! Something about a homemade bagel The coffee was good, not great. But semi worth the trek up the four flights of stairs and hefty price tag. The ambience is what I came for and it does not disappoint! I could read a book here all day sitting by the fireplace. I don't know if I'll be back but if your in the area it's certainly worth a try!

Very beautiful cafe with a calm and quiet ambience. Very nice staff and clean place inside the Mills #5 building among some other restaurant and shops on the 4th floor. We enjoyed our coffees though expected better and then we wandered around the floor to look at various shops and venues. It seems the place is more active on the weekends and evenings. We were here in the mid afternoon. We enjoyed discovering the other various shops here. There's also a theater and Pizza shop in this mill. We definitely will go back there for the other discoveries. When we went, the elevators were down so be prepared to walk up some long flights of stairs. I discovered muscles in my legs I didn't know existed lol.

My rating is mostly for vibe. It's a chill spot. Me and one of my girl friends went there for a small bite but mostly to chat& catch up without having to be hassled for buying food or drinks etc or rushed. It's an old mill loft building. Rustic aesthetic, take the elevator to the 4th floor there are different shops, book stores, rooms to sit and chat, work, study, play games. I got the bacon egg and cheese - it was good. Maple lemonade- good if you like minimal sweetened watered down lemonade. BLT was good, can't mess up on that. I will return again for live music and they do small events there as well it seems. Cool chill spot

The beautiful old building of interesting shops. They have a large open space with a community table and semi private room. Large delicious Coffee menu. Light breakfast and lunch. Gluten Free white bread which is ok. We both had breakfast sandwiches.

There's a cozy spot with a fireplace in the back, to the right. Big table and board games. The fresh baked bagel was quite tasty. I'm sure the other fresh baked goodies are also good. Service is quick and friendly.

Very cool building. Lowell is an interesting place. And this coffee on the 4th floor, excellent.

    Cinnamon roll

I've come here a few times. Even if there's a crowd, they manage to send out drinks quickly. The drinks are flavorful and worth the price. The last time I went, I tried one of their cinnamon rolls, which hit the spot. The baristas are very friendly. The dining area is large enough to accommodate the crowd they draw. Looking forward to seeing their specials for next month.

Located on the fourth floor in Mill No 5 The food was decent and staff were very nice. The vibe of the cafe is very industrial and cozy. We had a good time. Note:there's 20% automatic gratuity added to your bill to support their staff.

Lavender + Wildflower Latte in a paper cup, and a Lemon Blueberry Scone
    Ling C.

Cozy atmosphere and friendly service! A great addition to the Lowell Mills district. Their baked goods selection is tiny, but the Lemon Blueberry Scone was good. With lemon scones, the drizzled glaze is often too sweet with too much of a distinct lemon oil smell that's almost plastic-y, but this one was great! For coffee I got the seasonal Lavender and Wildflower Latte - this was pretty much a normal latte with a slight scent of lavender. Not one I'd recommend. I'd more recommend the Tahini Date latte (also limited time) which you could actually taste and smell the sesame and dates. Creamy and delicious. The cafe also offers artists a monthly space to display their work at no cost which I find a very nice collaboration with the community. One thing I found puzzling was that even though I dined at the cafe, they gave me a paper cup rather than a ceramic cup. It was more strange because my friends who sat with me and had ordered right before I did, and they both had ceramic cups. I always look forward to the latte art on my drink if I order hot, but this time no art in the foam either :( of course my friends also had nice art on their cups as well. I'll certainly be back for the atmosphere and the art, but the drinks and food I'd say is pretty average.

I can't believe so much has changed in Lowell. Lots of improvements. So glad I got to try this coffee place and explore this warehouse. I remember walking down the streets toward the river when I was little. Anyways the staff here are cool and service is great. Coffee is alright, I had matcha maybe they put a little too much ice but other than that it was a great space for students and people to interact with others. Lots of sunlight. Parking might be a little issue because it is meter parking. Highly recommend!

Everyone knows that you have to get to a Chinese bakery early in the morning for the freshness and availability of all their wonderful delights. The dessert/cake display case left much to be desired. Again, it could have been that we arrived later in the day but it didn't seem like there was anything pleasing to the eye. Usually I get super excited and over order the typical Chinese sweet treats and end up with a box full of green tea cakes, sponge fruit cakes, mango custard, and sweet rice cakes. I didn't care for anything here except something called the "Triple" baked bun with was three separate baked buns stuck together with custard, taro and red bean filling. The baked buns are displayed on a rolling bakery cart with each group of buns labeled accordingly. There was a great variety of baked buns that included taro, tuna, hotdog, pork, and one that I've never seen before, "Steak & Cheese." We had to get one to try. Prices were a little higher than the usual Chinatown fare at $1.50 or $ 1.75 for most of the baked buns. My husband and I split a regular steamed pork bun that was filled with the usual pork filling, hard boiled egg and Chinese sausage that is common among all baos. I'm not sure if it's because we were already ravenous, but the pork bao was pretty good. I'd definitely get another one. We walked into a cozy space with seating by the windows, a clean interior, and music playing in the background, with a few small touches that made it feel more like a place to hang out rather than just a quick drink stop. The café has a comfortable, unpretentious energy that fits the neighborhood well, and the layout makes it easy to settle in for a bit. The main draw is the drink menu, with a variety of milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies, and slush-style drinks. We found the drinks solid for satisfying a bubble tea craving, but they leaned more on the sweeter side and did not stand out as much compared to some of the stronger boba spots nearby. The flavors were enjoyable, but the drinks felt a little lighter and less rich than expected, with the tea notes not coming through as strongly as we would have liked. That said, the customization options for sweetness and toppings helped tailor the drinks to our preferences. Beyond drinks, Tea-Do also offers a selection of snacks and small meals. Items like the onigiri and takoyaki added more variety than a typical bubble tea shop, making it a better option if you want something to eat with your drink. The shrimp tempura onigiri was a nice choice for a quick bite, with the rice holding together well and the filling adding a good contrast of texture and flavor. The food menu helps give the café more personality and makes it feel like a more complete stop rather than just a place to grab a drink. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere made it a comfortable place to stop by, especially when we wanted somewhere casual to relax for a bit. The staff were welcoming and handled the flow of orders without delays. The space is not designed for large groups, but it works well for studying, catching up, or taking a break while exploring Lowell. The seating area stays comfortable even when the café is busy, and the energy remains low-key throughout the visit. Tea-Do is a decent neighborhood boba spot that does the basics well. The drinks can satisfy a bubble tea craving, but there are other places with stronger flavors and more memorable drinks. The café atmosphere and food options are what make it worth checking out, offering a casual, comfortable stop that feels more like a local hangout than a dedicated bubble tea destination.
