I came here yesterday with my friend and my brother for breakfast, after I went to donate blood. This is another place that I haven't been to in a long time. Probably since the mid to late 90s. The place was very packed. They have a very extensive breakfast menu. I was amazed that they even had various types of flavored coffees, probably about 20 different types. I just got my usual; scrambled eggs, white toast and corned beef hash. They have homemade hash or canned. I got the canned because I know I like that. They gave us very large portions. The only drawbacks here are lack of seating, and we ended up having to sit in a large booth, which was partially shared with other patrons on the other side. Also they don't take debit or credit cards. The servers were very helpful and attentive, and they had plenty of them. The dining room was neat and clean. The booths are a little bit on the hard side because they're not cushioned, they're just plastic booths. They also serve breakfast and lunch. read more

I came in expecting a solid meal and that's what I got. The Eggs Benedict had perfectly poached eggs spilling golden yolk over a fluffy English muffin, all smothered in rich, buttery hollandaise. I like mine piping hot but it had cooled off by the time it got to me so a point off for that. The homemade corned beef was semi homemade as I think the corned beef was out of a can and mixed with potatoes so it was "sort of homemade". I'm a corned beef fanatic but I'll give it a pass. It actually worked with the Benedict. Paired with a hot coffee and a cozy vibe, this breakfast was worth every bite. Great service too! read more

Pretty solid and average Here's what I ended up getting Two eggs over medium: these were actually over easy but they were fine Pumpernickel toast was great Home fries were okay House made corn beef hash was very salty. Zero stars! I have been here a few times, wasn't the biggest fan but when there is no where else to go we came here. But as the owner said to my sister "this is your last time here" definitely is. Worst customer service. Instead of apologizing for the mistake or miscommunication our waitress had made she coped an attitude and then had her mom(the owner) come and talk down to my sister and what makes it even better is she was being so unprofessional and disrespectful in front of children. She walked away once I asked her to not talk like that in-front of children. She then proceeded to go and tell customers what just happened instead of getting us our bill and made us sit there for what felt like forever. Also not to mention my sister did order her son strawberry milk and he wanted chocolate milk and he loves strawberry milk so I took a sip to show him that it was strawberry milk and he still want a chocolate. So my sister said " I'm so sorry but when you get a chance, can you get him chocolate milk instead because I messed up and that's what he wants" NEVER tried to hand her back the milk or anything. It stayed right near me, and the waitress replied back and said " he took a sip out of it so I can't take it back and I can't get you a new one until you pay for this one" like honey no one is trying to give it back or not pay for it she said it was her mistake... what did you want her to do hand you $2.50 right then in there just so you can get a three-year-old a cup of chocolate milk?! Wife and I usually come here for breakfast. The service is always great they a usually on point and friendly. Sometimes there's a wait but usually moves pretty quickly. I usually order the same thing every time corned beef Benedict it's delicious. Once in a while I'll get overcooked eggs but they'll usually send out a new perfectly cooked egg. Free refills on iced coffee, amazing food, nicest people. It's kind of tucked away off the road. I'm selfishly reluctant to write this review as is always busy and I don't want to draw too much attention to this hidden gem. My only complaint is their pancake game. Flat, tough, but nonetheless nut free pancakes. My youngest has food allergies and dines here safely but the pancakes would benefit from some improvement. I really loves the crepes and broccoli and cheese omelet. The home fries are cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned. Haven't had biscuits and gravy so good up here in the north as I did here. Gravy wasn't peppery like when I lived down south and in the Army. So I just added pepper. Perfect. Portion was so large I could only eat about half the plate and took the rest home for breakfast the next day. And I usually never leave anything on my plate. Can't say enough good things about this place. Went on a Sunday morning and the place was jammed! Got a table quick. Huge selection of brewed coffee, that's BREWED not added flavor shots. The coffee was great and that is coming from a coffee snob. Waitress was awesome, kind of a 50's diner waitress throwback. Super helpful and attentive. Hooked me up with the best coffee. I've been coming here for breakfast since I was little. It's definitely a Lincoln staple. The food is consistently good and the prices are so cheap. I always go for the eggs Benedict or the eggs, hash, and home fries. The home fries here are seasoned perfectly and are really tasty. It gets really busy on weekend mornings so sometimes you'll have to wait for a seat. Fortunately they get the food out to you really quickly so you shouldn't have to wait too long. The only thing that bothers me is that it's cash only. It's never stopped me from coming but I always have to remember to stop at the ATM first because I never carry cash on me anymore. read more

Well, what to say? I used to come here pre-pandemic every so often, but that was a different time, and probably a different cook. We ordered breakfast. I chose 2 eggs with wheat toast, bacon, sausage, and hash browns, with a glass of juice. The (grumpy) waitress set down my juice and spilled a good bit of it, didn't notice, and I had to clean the mess myself. The only thing that was any good were the hash browns. Cooked very well. The eggs were awful, the toast - well one half slice was burnt, the other three half slices weren't even toasted. The butter substitute was terrible. And it wasn't wheat bread, it was white bread. There's a difference folks. The sausage was under-cooked and bland, but the worst thing was the bacon, which was over-cooked (kind way of saying burnt) and cold. How can you ruin the one thing that should have been the star of the breakfast? My wife had ordered a "fruit cup" with her breakfast which they forgot, and then they brought her a tiny little bowl heaped high with fruit, half of which fell off and hit the table or the floor. Don't go here. There are better breakfast places in the area. read more

Finally a place in Rhode Island that knows how to make GOOD country gravy. I have spent the last 3 years going to different breakfast places and when ever the Country Gravy is on the menu - tried it. Needless to say that this girl who spent several years in the southern states was very dissapointed - but not with Shanna's. The Biscuits are a little disapointing (tasted like they popped out of a can), but the gravy was yummy goodness. Great family run and family owned local spot. I stopped here early Sunday morning after a poker playing session at nearby Twin Park Casino, that has no breakfast place. Shanna's was recommended by some fellow players -- so I hungrily headed over. The service was friendly and quick; the menu included all of the typical breakfast items, and the prices extremely reasonable. I ordered three poached eggs, toast, home fries, coffee, and homemade hash. All were perfectly prepared and delicious. The price extremely reasonable. CLEAN, FRIENDLY, inexpensive diner food. Usually come for breakfast, but today lunch. Had a tuna melt on lightly buttered and toasted pumpernickel. There was plenty of tuna in the sandwich and it wasn't smothered in mayo. The cheese was partially melted the way I like it, not runny. The sandwich was served with pickles and chips. I've never had an issue with the food here. It tastes great and I love the eggs Benedict. However, my service today was absolutely appalling. The attitude of the owner was incredibly offensive. I had just flown here to spend the week of Thanksgiving with my family and my Dad took my sister and I out to breakfast to celebrate my return. We waited for 40 minutes for a seat, which was fine because they were busy. The first waitress who we ordered drinks from forgot to bring us waters. Next thing we knew, our food came and we still had no water. So we politely asked a second waitress for water. Ten minutes pass and still no water, so my Dad stopped a third waitress to ask for water for the table. He informed her that it was our third time asking, which is a perfectly reasonable criticism after eating an entire meal with no water. He did not yell or cuss or raise his voice, he simply stated it plainly. The woman came back with a very hostile tone and turned to him and said "I don't want to hear you speak to me again that way, I'm the owner of this restaurant", and before he could respond she said "Don't come back in here". I was disgusted with this treatment. We were paying customers just trying to get our waters. We've eaten there many times but we will not be returning. I've never been treated so rudely at a restaurant. I understand they were busy but that's no excuse to act so unprofessionally toward a customer. read more
