I was very impressed by Shanna's Country Kitchen. It had a very cozy feel inside and the staff made it even more welcoming by being so friendly and attentive. They have a large menu with plenty of homemade items. Shanna's has plenty of parking outside and seating inside. It is a cash only place so plan ahead.

Wife and I usually come here for breakfast. The service is always great they a usually on point and friendly. Sometimes there's a wait but usually moves pretty quickly. I usually order the same thing every time corned beef Benedict it's delicious. Once in a while I'll get overcooked eggs but they'll usually send out a new perfectly cooked egg. My wife usually orders healthier items which she always says is good. The home fries are tasty no onions to add flavor but still no bad.

    Broccoli and cheese omelet

Free refills on iced coffee, amazing food, nicest people. It's kind of tucked away off the road. I'm selfishly reluctant to write this review as is always busy and I don't want to draw too much attention to this hidden gem. My only complaint is their pancake game. Flat, tough, but nonetheless nut free pancakes. My youngest has food allergies and dines here safely but the pancakes would benefit from some improvement. I really loves the crepes and broccoli and cheese omelet. The home fries are cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned. My husband swears by the eggs Benedict (though sometimes the yolk is overcooked or egg white undercooked. Go early as it gets pretty busy around 10.

Lots of seating and I like the music that they play. You can definitely tell that this is a Latin inspired restaurant. Our waiter came over and he was pleasant as well. He was also the bartender but did well making sure all of his tables were taken care of along with the bar. I ordered a Coke and the crab cake Benedict. The significant other had the tea and chilaquiles. I really enjoyed my benefit. The chipotle hollandaise was slightly spicy but not overwhelming. Eggs were poached well, the crab cake was tasty, and the home fries were nice and crispy. No real complaints there! The chilaquiles were smaller than I thought they'd be but the significant other said he liked them. So, why 4 stars? I've been here before and while it's good some dishes don't blow me away. But I definitely keep coming back.

That's probably because the owners pay them minimum wage and no one has a decency to leave them. Decent tips.. I am a server at a restaurant so I always take care of my server whenever I go out to eat. That being said, I think the food is inconsistent. Sometimes I'll order French toast and it's super dry and old sometimes cold, but I don't say anything because the server will drop it off and then run away and not check in at all. The main reason why I'm leaving this review is that the place closes at 2 o'clock can you at least open until three maybe four I mean it's a breakfast brunch spot.. 2 o'clock is way too early. I suggest opening up an hour later and closing an hour later. It would drive a lot more sales and a lot more people in just a suggestion.

The atmosphere was decent, it was a typical breakfast place, but it was bigger inside than I thought, and the booths were comfortable. Everything was also clean. I truly don't understand this place after eating here a few times. It is always packed ... the…read moreparking lot literally looks like a shopping mall with cars parked along the street. It has almost a cult-like following after reading the reviews. In my experience, everything I have ordered was okay ... but nothing incredibly amazing vs. the price. I have not seen higher menu prices outside of Manhattan. Two sandwiches and one beer came to $78 after the tip. You read that correctly ... a burger with fries, a pulled pork sandwich with side salad and the cheapest draft beer on the menu ... $78!!! The wings/tenders were over $20 ... in fact, other than the side upgrades, nothing on the menu was under $20. If you are charging $25 for a 'diner burger' and fries, it better be an amazing burger. Mine was no better than Five Guys and less tasty than a Shake Shack. Given the prices, one wouldn't expect that you'd get potato chips with your burger. In order to get French fries ... it's a $5 upcharge. A side salad is $9. I don't mind paying more for quality ... and Blackie's quality is probably high as their meats, vegetables, potatoes, etc. all list the origin place. However high the quality is, for me anyways, the food doesn't seem much different taste-wise, than anywhere else that is much less expensive. Having said that, the portions are huge. The nachos look like they are meant for an entire table and everything is served on metal cafeteria-style trays. Good for them though because the place is huge and always packed. The crowd here is very typical 'Rhode Island'. Expect to see a lot of anchor tattoos, lifted Jeeps with no doors in the parking lot, young 20 - 40 year old crowd who probably played high school football or baseball back in the day and still enjoy telling stories about it. There are no shortage of cross-fitters here. There is a nice buzz of conversation and energy ... but this is not the place you want to go if you don't like crowds. Inside is weird. The walls are painted black and the chairs/tables look like something in a boutique hotel. It looks a little more like a corporate hotel lobby or wedding function hall vs. a restaurant ... especially given the typical crowd. This is not the sports bar it appears to be on the outside. Overall, my 3-stars may seem harsh. But that's an average score ... and honestly, my food has always been average. Maybe I need to try the pizza. If you have deep pockets and like huge portions, you probably won't be disappointed in this place. The service is great, although 2 people working a packed bar, you will wait a bit if you need anything. Also, I came to watch the big game and for some reason they hung pendant lights which dangle down from around the bar. While they make everyone look better, the TVs are blocked by the lights. Very odd.

When we asked about our order and questioning why there was a lady eating her meal despite arriving after us, the staff explained that she "only ordered eggs," seemingly justifying why someone who came in later was served first. After waiting with no real update, we decided to leave and paid $6.42 for a coffee and Coke. Ironically, just after paying, the cook told us our order was finally ready. My husband explained that it was too late, and when he pointed out that another customer who arrived after us had already been served, the cook -- despite there being three people cooking -- repeated that she "was just having eggs" after the cook had just stated, "We do the orders as they come in." If you're ordering anything beyond basic eggs, be prepared for a very long wait and a poor explanation for why others may be served ahead of you. The coffee and Coke were fine, but overpriced for what they were. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we would not recommend or return.

When trying out a new restaurant, we have little to no expectations but we go with an empty stomach & open mind. I had to look up Manville in Google maps - it's half way between Cumberland & Woonsocket. The restaurant is an unassuming storefront on a mostly residential street. We walked in & were greeted warmly. The restaurant was hopping on a late Saturday morning, so we took the two open seats at the counter. Your Mother's Favorite is truly a family affair. Dad is in the kitchen with an uncle & a son, mom is running the front of house with another son & some other relatives. We learned that this restaurant is an offshoot of their Sunnyside on the Street food truck. They offered any 1/2 lb brisket/chuck blend burger on a brioche bun for the RI Food Fights coupons. Upon recommendation of the son who was serving us at the counter, I went with their best seller: The Mother In Law - caramelized onions, Gruyere cheese, house made sauce. It was SOOOO good! The burger was perfectly cooked with a ton of delicious caramelized onions & ooey gooey melted cheese holding it all together. Hubby opted for The Hot Mom - pepper jack cheese, red onion & house-made mango habanero sauce. He will order anything that will give his taste buds a kick... & this definitely kicked! For me, the sauce was too hot. For hubby, it was definitely HOT but he couldn't get enough! I've never seen a man eat a burger that fast! LOL Hubby was so excited about the mango habanero sauce that the dad/owner came out of the kitchen to discuss creating it. He also provided us with a small container to bring home to enjoy & shared the recipe. I was in the mood for something a little sweet & ordered one slice of the French toast. It was delicious. They also do a deep fried French toast which is something I will order the next time. We got into a nice conversation with the table next to the counter. The couple were fans of the family's original food truck & are repeat customers of Your Mother's Favorite. They were also fans of RI Food Fights - especially the January #LordOfTheWings. We concur! We ogled the other delicious breakfast dishes being delivered to customers. Hubby wants to try both the Huevos Rancheros & the Biscuits with Gravy. Their pancakes are supposed to be out of this world but I will be hard pressed not to order The Mother In Law again! Even though it was very busy, the family made time to chat with us & answer questions about the restaurant & menu. We loved everything about Your Mother's Favorite & can't wait for a return visit!
