One of my favorite local restaurants. Laura's has great specials throughout the week taco Tuesdays three dollar tacos literally can't beat that. Thursdays is 50 Cent wings and the wings are so so good. I also love their daily specials. There's always something great to choose from. My friend and I went to Laura's for Sunday brunch. They no longer serve brunch although the menu is on their website. Disappointed but our pulled pork sliders and turkey blt were fine. Service was a bit chaotic. They opened at 11 and there was a huge line of people waiting because the hours on Yelp show they were open at 9am. Not true. The wait staff were doing their best to get everyone seated, get drinks and orders taken. The waitstaff at Laura's are great! I love the look and the vibe at Laura's. The big open space feels airy. I don't know how I've slept on Laura's in Smithfield--what an incredible spot. We went after hiking and had originally planned on Blackie's for my wife's birthday, but they were closed, so we gave Laura's a try. Best decision! We were seated right away in a bright room with garage doors--would be beautiful on a sunny day. We ordered appetizers and they came out huge. The street corn nachos were phenomenal and gigantic, the loaded fresh-cut fries were delicious, and the eggplant sliders were perfectly cooked--you could cut them with a fork, skin and all. I treated myself to an Espresso Martini flight, and the churro martini was my favorite (the cookie and coconut ones weren't really for me). My wife ordered the peanut butter cheesecake brownie, and WOW. This thing is massive. A homemade brownie base, thick cheesecake layer, light chocolate mousse, and topped with a homemade peanut butter cup made with natural peanut butter. Absolutely delicious--worth the trip just for dessert. The staff was phenomenal, attentive and friendly. TVs all around the bar and dining room make it a great spot to catch a game, too. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about Laura's. We'll definitely be back, and I'd recommend it to anyone in the area--or even worth the drive. read more

Laura's has become one of favorite restaurants. Our recent visit I didn't order my usual lobster Mac and cheese and I tried the burger. I had the build your own burger and my husband had the Cheat Day burger and they were both delicious. I also ordered a side Caesar salad so I could check if they make a good salad for next time, the salad was really good... the romaine was nice and crisp and they use a nice creamy dressing that was tossed perfectly with the romaine. We've visited quite a few times since we first tried it about 3 years ago and we're always happy with our meals (just wish they were closer!). read more

Had a great dinner Saturday night at Laura's. The place was seemingly busy, and we were quoted a wait time however we were seated much faster. Host staff was very friendly. Our server did a nice job staggering our appetizer and meals since we ordered all at once. The only downfall of the visit was that it was quite cold inside. The bus boys were quick to clear any dirty dishes from the table and all around service was great. Our meal choices were awesome and the portions were huge. What a great place. My friend was having a birthday and this was the place. Drinks, very well made. We didn't really do apps. Entrees? Holy F'n Moly. Fantastic. I had a Cobb salad with blackened shrimp and it was amazing. The shrimp were cooked just right. The salad itself was crisp and assorted like a great Cobb. Could have been a lot colder, but it gave me my bacon fix, as well. Looking at some of the other entrees... The Bang Bang chicken dish was lovely to behold and the person who ordered it loved it. I saw a few breaded breasts that looked amazing. There was some great looking pastas, as well. My daughter thought the pickle burger was fantastic. Service was wonderful. They were helpful and accommodating but not lurking/hovering. The ambiance was that of a regular open air down restaurant. Wasn't noisy. The place was bustling. The servers looked like it was all under control. I'd give it five stars, but they didn't have the entree or the dessert the birthday girl wanted. Ran out. Still, highly recommend. Their pasta dishes, chicken sliders, appetizers, etc are all outstanding. I would really recommend the hot chicken sliders. The pulled pork Mac and cheese really surprised me on how delicious it was. Me and my husband come to Laura's often and every time the service is great! It is quite loud but it's a sports bar so understandable, but it's not unbearable. We are creatures of habit and get the same wings and pizza every time or the sliders (which are amazing). This time I wanted to try the Ramen and I'm so happy I did! This place is great! I've been twice now and both times were impressive. The menu is extensive and I could easily order atleast 20 things on it. Instead I've gotten the chicken parm sandwich with vodka sauce and the loaded mashed potato flatbread. These were both very filling and delicious! I was on a business trip and staying across the street at the Hilton hotel and was unfamiliar with the area. When I arrived I saw this restaurant across from where I was staying, and figured since it was close, I'd eat dinner there. The hostess greeted me as I walked through the door and was friendly. I looked around the restaurant and noticed it was very busy and almost to capacity. Once seated I was given a menu and had numerous choices to choose from. Since thanksgiving is only a few days away, there were some "thanksgiving" choices to choose from. I ordered the "thanksgiving sliders, thanksgiving egg rolls," and the Mashed Potatoes bowl. Short drive to Smithfield RI to have dinner with family. Started at Terrazza RI for their delicious white sangria and buffalo flatbread for an app. Then we made our way down the street to another favorite of ours for dinner at Laura's Bar and Grill. I had the chicken parmesan over angel hair pasta with a delcious pink sauce, the chicken was the crispiest I've had. The other dish was the seafood capaleinni that was on special. From the friendly hostess to the attentive wait staff, We already had a great feeling about Laura's! My other half ordered a seafood pasta dish with a red sauce that he gave that plate a 10! Impressive variety, mostly poised towards meat eaters, with many drinks and a stunningly disciplined kitchen. I say this as I watched the restaurant, slammed on a Monday, deliver table after table of food accurately. My own meal was an order of fish tacos, which were good; didn't have overly-battered fish, and were tasty. They're awkward to eat, as they're presented with three taco V-stands, a place for the "side" (could be fries to coleslaw) but no plate. Cuts down on washing, is my rationalization. I was tempted by other selections and might try others. A downside is that they immediately ask for your name and phone #, and it's not even our first date. Parking is good, and they can handle a crowd. It's not formal dining, and is parent-friendly. Prices are...reasonable given price inflation today. I wish my budgets were higher, given certain tempting menu selections. Overall, it would be tough to do badly here. read more

Wow! I cannot say enough great things about this place! Everything was truly fantastic from start to finish. We kicked things off with the steak and cheese egg rolls, which were absolutely delicious and the perfect way to start the meal. For our mains, we ordered a turkey BLT, mac and cheese, and the squash ravioli with braised beef -- every single dish was flavorful, fresh, and so satisfying. Our waitress (whose name I'm forgetting, but she had short blonde hair) was such a sweetheart -- incredibly attentive, kind, and made us feel really well taken care of. Service was just as outstanding as the food, which is always a win in my book. The only downside was that we were too full for dessert, which is a shame because the chocolate cake we walked past looked absolutely incredible. It can be tough at peak meal times to find a parking spot and to parking in the hotel next door is not permitted. Though to date I've never had to leave because I couldn't find parking! I had the California BLT wrap with sweet potato fries This was an excellent choice. It was Wednesday so it was martini day and I opted for the blueberry Apple lemon drop for $6 dollars. The drink was a miss for me. I would not order it again. The food was excellent atmosphere is good. We got there around 4 PM and were seated quickly - we sat at the comfy high tops near the bar. My friend had a watermelon mojito and I tried the spicy watermelon Paloma. We both loved our drinks! Our first time here, but will not be going back. It's just average food. Salad was good. Had the Philly cheese steak sandwich. They should rename it the Philly no cheese steak sandwich. When we walked in, they asked for my phone number. I asked why they needed my phone number. They said "in case you leave something at the table, we can call you". I rather doubt that. Never have been asked for my phone number unless I'm requesting a reservation, which by the way, they don't take. I said no to the phone number request and they sat us at a table. Had an amazing experience from great service to expertly made cocktails. The food was exceptional. I am vegan. My daughter is not. We both had high quality prepared food. The beyond meat build your own burger was excellent. Great flavor and properly cooked. Not everyone gets that right. My daughter's filet mignon also perfectly cooked at medium rare. Fries were hot and server checked on us at all the right times. I am 40 years in food and beverage so impressing me is not easy to do.
