This is my favorite coffee shop in San Diego. This is a place for coffee and espresso lovers. They also roast their own beans! I love this place so much, their espresso is always on point and I've never had a bad coffee or matcha here. They also have wonderful seasonal drinks and create their own syrups. They create their coffee bevs with care and are truly good at their craft and know what they are doing. It's a lil community in there, love it. Service is good, great minimal little place with local rotating art. Although small, love working here from time to time.

Got the cold brew Moonlight White and it was pretty good. I would've bought some if I didn't already have enough tea to last me 10 years at home. Staff was nice and fast. Some indoor seating and good for studying. Small but cute and has decent street parking.

I love this coffee shop! I am a local and it is usually a great experience, which is why this visit was so disappointing. On 1/1/26 around 3:29 PM, I stopped in to get a matcha and to ask if they sold the matcha they use because I love it so much. The barista, a young gentleman, seemed eager to close based on his behavior. He did not greet me for a while while making drinks, and when I asked if they sold the matcha, he said no. When I asked what brand or type of matcha they use, he refused to check and said, "I'm not gonna do that right now." I also felt like he did not want to take my order, and I left feeling rushed and like I was a bother for asking questions. He also said they were out of honey, but because he seemed so eager to close, I was not sure whether that was accurate. It was not so much what he said as how he said it and the overall tone of the interaction. His behavior did not match the warm and welcoming experience I usually have at this coffee shop. I really love this place and hope this was just a one time experience.

Great atmosphere and good for reading a book or doing work as they have a good amount of seating. Minimal aesthetic with good coffee/tea.

As someone that's used to how OC & LA county make their lattes, I find myself disappointed with a lot of the lattes here in SD. However, this place has great quality coffee & latte art! I almost ordered another one for the road. I ordered a vanilla latte and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved that it wasn't too sweet and the milk to espresso ratio was well balanced. Also, pretty good spot for studying and the music isn't too loud. As for seating, there are tables and bar seating available. The only con is street parking can get a little tough in this area.

This coffee spot? A true delight. The music sets the tone, making every sip a revelation. The staff's warmest, gentlest smiles perfectly complement their thorough drink crafting. It's the unforgettable post-spin/yoga ritual that makes my mornings!

Food/Drinks: 9/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 8/10 This cafe is one of my favorites in san diego! They have really good quality americanos and vanilla lattes which are everything for me! Usually I don't struggle to find seating! And just a good place to either catch up with friends or get work done!

I liked their flash brew, but didn't love the beans. Their watermelon dill refresher was interesting and enjoyable.

Small hipster coffee shop "tucked away" on El Cajon blvd. You can tell the baristas here are really passionate about their craft- every time I've gotten something it's been top notch. I'd recommend an espresso forward drink to get that satisfying hit of a quality pull (the banana latte I tried was good but way too milky/sweet) The pastries are served on a nice plate with gorgeous silverware, very instagrammable - and tasty! Lots of locals and regulars but even so I've always found a spot to work from for an hour or two during the week!

Favorite coffee in SD - hands down! Even with the NP parking. Food: - Vanilla Latte (Iced): 5/5 - Black salted caramel: 5/5 - Liege waffles: 5/5 Service: On the slower end depending on staffing. But still worth the wait! Ambiance: Artsy and clean aesthetic. Will be back soon!

"lump o coal" (black sesame cardamom milk tea)

I love the feel and vibe of this coffee shop. Doesn't seem like one of the "IG worthy" type of coffee shops and instead more of a locals type of place. They have a decent amount of indoor seating and outdoor seating. I got the "lump o coal" (black sesame cardamom milk tea) which is seasonal. It was an eye watering $7 for a small which is very overpriced imo. The actual drink wasn't too sweet which I loved and the black sesame flavor was there. I liked that they put actual sesame seeds on top which added an interesting texture. The cardamom flavor wasn't there though which was disappointing. Service was a little slow but not annoyingly so. They were very friendly also.

I visited this shop for the first time today. The shop is very cute. The minimalist decor with plants & some art work is super inviting. They have seating at the bar & at the entrance if you're looking to get some work done. The baristas were super sweet & inviting. I didn't try any food this time. Maybe next time! Shout out to the barista with the cool tattoos and potion shirt for the black sesame caramel rec. the coffee is sweet but still strong! I'll def be back.

Cute coffee shop! The drinks we ordered were a matcha latte and another latte. The matcha latte was tasty, but not enough sweet so it tasted a little bit bland for me. The person who took my order was friendly, so the service was good!! The drinks did not take long either. The seating was spaced out and simple. It hard seating so it wasn't a place I would stay to study or work from home for that reason. Overall recommend!

So I made the trek over. Heads up: there's construction nearby, so parking was a struggle. Unfortunately, the visit ended up being a bit of a letdown. First off, they didn't have ice. I like my morning drinks iced, and I still ordered the bibingka latte, but it came without ice -- I ended up having to grab some from another restaurant since my work doesn't have a fridge. I was also excited for the longanisa sandwich, but they didn't have any hot sandwiches. What they did have was cheese rolls, a guava-filled ensaymada, and pandesal. The pastries were frozen, so he had to warm them up, which took a while. On the drink, I'd give it a 2.5/5. It was OK, but not something I'd order again. It was a balance of sweet and savory, with hints of rice flour and coconut milk -- but even ordering it less sweet, it still came out too sweet for me. The pastries were also just OK. My favorite of the bunch was the ensaymada. I really wanted to love this place given the concept, but between the missing ice, no hot sandwiches, and the frozen pastries, it didn't quite come together this visit.

It was advertised as a rootbeer esque drink, and I love root beer, but the star anise and wintergreen just completely overpowered the drink and left a very sour aftertaste. The drink was very silky at first, but that's about all it had going for it. I even went home and tried to modify it by adding cold brew, cream and honey and even sea salt to cut the flavor away, but the medicinal herbal flavors were just too strong. This one was a miss, the drink alone was a 1 star. But i tried my friend's drink and it wasn't bad, so maybe I'd try a more normal drink or the cherry almond soda drink and see how it is.
