Lots of people chilling and also working. Nice selection of sweets, I went with the pistachio San Sebastian which basically was like a basque cheese cake. Really nice texture and flavor. There is a regular coffee menu plus a kurdish menu. The kurdish coffee is very similar to a Turkish coffee where the grounds are at the bottom. I got the hazelnut kurdish coffee which was slightly sweeter and more flavorful than the regular kurdish coffee. Very bitter though and honestly not a strong taste of coffee. Also it's a very small cup and half of it is the grounds so it's really only a few sips. Interesting to try but I wouldn't get it again or recommend. read more

The service was honestly not the best, I came in and seen a macchiato and was like "ooo I'll get that" then when I asked for it and what was inside it because my friend was telling me that it didn't have milk the man said " this isn't Starbucks the macchiato is just espresso and foam" and if he would have said those words in a nicer tone it wouldn't have bothered me, I just started drinking coffee again so I'm not fully knowledgeable about the differences in drinks and that caught me off guard and made me feel dumb. I have tried the latte, the matcha, and the spinach and cheese pastry. All three were delicious and well made. The first time I came, the associate who helped me was very welcoming and friendly. The customer service was very nicely done staff were friendly and welcoming. The place has a cozy, almost homey yet slightly foreign-style charm to it. The space itself is pretty compact, though. One downside was that the Wi-Fi wasn't working where I was sitting, so I wasn't able to get any work done. It also got quite warm inside, and the airflow could definitely be improved. Stopped here for dessert after a birthday dinner in North Park. It is a Kurdish bakery and the decor definitely reflects that. Everything was served on metal trays which definitely added to the presentation. It wasn't busy at all, which meant we got to engage more with the employees and hear more about the story behind the restaurant. We got an apricot pastry with espresso and their version of a decaf espresso that is made with ground pistachios. Finally got to try this place with my spouse today. I had the hot Kurdish tea, which is very similar to Iranian tea. It's a black (I think Ceylon?) tea brewed with saffron, rose petals, and cardamom. You can get it in a 16oz or 32oz pot with a cup. I also shared a slice of the pistachio San Sebastián (Basque cheesecake) with my spouse and it was very delicious -- not too sweet. There is plenty of seating and the ambiance is very comfortable and chill. I saw that they have a bike rack out front, so I'll definitely be biking in again soon to try the Qezwan. read more
