My friend picked this place to celebrate both my birthday and Mother's Day. It's definitely a little hidden, but once you get inside, the space is actually really nice. We were a pretty big group of 11 people total. We had a reservation for 10am on a Sunday, but still ended up waiting around 45 minutes to be seated, which was a bit frustrating. I ordered the Cinnamon French Toast, and honestly it didn't really meet my expectations. It was a little too dry for me, and I was hoping it would be more soft and syrupy. That said, some of my friends really enjoyed what they ordered. The service itself was good though, the waiters checked on us often and were attentive throughout. Genuinely a terrible experience. I came to this place expecting a great experience based off of others experiences. However, that was not the case. It took a long time before my party was seated. Once we were seated it was a long while before we were checked up on or introduced to our waiter. This was happening while other people were being seated promptly and attended to quickly. My party waited about an hour and a half before we were actually checked up on and able to get our order. On top of this our waters had dirt specs in them. Our waiter was unkind. She barely checked up on us and had attitude. Due to the bad service we decided not to tip. Our waiter, Jessica, called us out for not tipping, while acknowledging the service was bad. went a couple of weekends ago with some girlfriends and i have to say this was by far the worst experience i have ever had while dining out. We were all super excited to try out this place based off other people's reviews, but our experience was not like that at all. We did not mind having to wait 30min + to be seated since we understood space in the back was limited. Once we got sat it took what felt like 30 minutes to be welcomed, we eventually had to flag down a waiter to get some water. Food took a while too; we had to sit and watch people who were sat after us be served first. Later on in the service we all realized our water had debris in it, looked almost like little pieces of food/dirt spots but we decided not to say anything and just try to make the most of it. I got the $20 classic breakfast, honestly very overpriced and it just left me thinking that i could make this at home :(. Our whole stay we were probably checked up on by our waitress like 2 times max. Once we all paid, the waitress made a comment about us not tipping. She asked if we were going to leave cash because we did not tip and that they don't make much there. Unfortunately, it is not the customer's responsibility to handle the employees pay! Then we waited over 40 minutes for our food. Jessica didn't check up on us after getting food. So of course, we didn't tip. Then Jessica confronts us why we didn't tip by saying, " are you guys leaving cash or? because you didn't tip" The service was terrible so why should we feel obligated to tip? The mimosas were tasty. We tried the regular and the cranberry. Eggs Benedict: the sauce was seasoned well and love that they added avocado. Chorizo burrito: very cheesy so cheese lovers rejoice! After breakfast, we walked to the adjoining AWOL bar where we enjoyed two more Bloody Marys and two Old Fashioned drinks.
