This is such a cute little cafe. Especially for plant lovers. Service was very friendly. We got greeted as we entered. The patio is surrounded by tropical plants and there is plenty of shade. My husband had the French toast, which he said was pretty good. I had the Benedict and enjoyed it. The potatoes have rosemary and thyme on them and they were cooked well. I will definitely be back! Especially on a Sunday because they are right next to the farmers market. Note: The place can be a little tricky to find because it is in the back of a multi use retail space. My friend picked this place to celebrate both my birthday and Mother's Day. It's definitely a little hidden, but once you get inside, the space is actually really nice. We were a pretty big group of 11 people total. We had a reservation for 10am on a Sunday, but still ended up waiting around 45 minutes to be seated, which was a bit frustrating. I ordered the Cinnamon French Toast, and honestly it didn't really meet my expectations. It was a little too dry for me, and I was hoping it would be more soft and syrupy. That said, some of my friends really enjoyed what they ordered. The service itself was good though, the waiters checked on us often and were attentive throughout. This is a new spot so we decided to check it out. This place is a hole in the wall. Go past all the barbers and hair dressers to the back. It's a cute patio and the location is actually a food truck. The mimosas were tasty. We tried the regular and the cranberry. Eggs Benedict: the sauce was seasoned well and love that they added avocado. Chorizo burrito: very cheesy so cheese lovers rejoice! Just a warning this comes with bell peppers and tomatoes. Totally fine it just doesn't say that on the menu. Both came with potatoes that were good. Service was quick and friendly. All in all a solid neighborhood joint if you're in the area. There's a parking lot between this location and Michoz on University but street parking is going to be your best bet. It's hillcrest so if it's busy get ready to circle a bit but honestly never had a problem after a few minutes. read more

Our two best friends had the Supreme Omelet with bacon, sausage, onions, bell peppers, served with house potatoes and sourdough bread-it was delicious. After breakfast, we walked to the adjoining AWOL bar where we enjoyed two more Bloody Marys and two Old Fashioned drinks. On our way there, we met the owner, Alex Marin, who was as great as the rest of his friendly staff. Our waitress, Jessica, was awesome-very friendly and attentive, making the visit even better. A hidden gem in Hillcrest! Really amazing service with hefty portions! Once you enter through the front door, walk all the way to the back and you'll enter a little green oasis. The cafe is surrounded by lush greenery that offered a relaxing tranquil dining atmosphere. All the staff at the restaurant are beyond amazing. When the chef found out I was pregnant, she offered to add extra veggies in my eggs benedict and made sure to confirm that I want my eggs and ham over cooked. She also gave me a complementary corn bread while I waited for my food. I had a wonderful dining experience and really appreciated the staff going above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. I would say the food served here is an American brunch house with Mexican influence, so you can get your French toasts/pan cakes with breakfast burritos/chorizo scrambled.
