My friend picked this place to celebrate both my birthday and Mother's Day. It's definitely a little hidden, but once you get inside, the space is actually really nice. We were a pretty big group of 11 people total. We had a reservation for 10am on a Sunday, but still ended up waiting around 45 minutes to be seated, which was a bit frustrating. I ordered the Cinnamon French Toast, and honestly it didn't really meet my expectations. It was a little too dry for me, and I was hoping it would be more soft and syrupy. That said, some of my friends really enjoyed what they ordered. The service itself was good though, the waiters checked on us often and were attentive throughout. They also brought out free birthday shots for the table, which was a fun and thoughtful touch.

Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 I had no idea this little hive of shops existed in this part of the block! Thanks to Yelp, we found a literal hidden cafe that we otherwise would have never found. The outdoor patio is so homey with a ton of foliage and a fountain to create such a calming vibe. We ordered the chilaquiles and the eggs Benedict. Both were delicious - each came with potatoes as a side, so it's definitely a large portion that could possibly be shared if you're not too hungry. The service was quick and friendly too. We'll definitely be back!

A little slice of peace! Food: We came for the weekend brunch menu. Between the chorizo scramble and breakfast sandwich, food was solid. It wasn't spectacular but very hearty. I would rate the food somewhere above a 4. Ambiance: The ambiance and atmosphere was what stood out to me. The restaurant is tucked away in a busier part of Hillcrest but the patio/outdoor area where we were seated was lovely. Volume levels were good and seating did not feel crowded. Service: Service was great, granted that the restaurant wasn't busy when we were there. Parking: Weekend street parking in Hillcrest can be a nightmare but we found parking after 10-15in of looking. Overall: Great place for casual brunch and very much worth it to stop by if you're in the area!

Rosemary and Thyme is a cute brunch cafe with a nice backyard patio area! Our server was wonderful and very attentive. We both ordered the chilaquiles and added the pulled pork. It was decent but pricy for the smaller portion of meat that was added. My one issue was that we were trying to find a bag for our leftovers and couldn't find anyone to help and it was only 1:45 pm on a Saturday and literally all the staff had disappeared and gone home.

We sat outside on a beautiful patio surrounded by flowers and trees--it felt peaceful and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The music was just right, setting a relaxed mood without being too loud. Service was absolutely amazing--friendly, attentive, and genuine. Breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade salsa--it's fresh, flavorful, and has just the right kick. Everything felt homemade and cared for. We enjoyed it so much that we're already planning to come back for dinner tonight. A lovely spot with great atmosphere, great food, and even better people. Highly recommend!

This is a hidden gem in the heart of Hillcrest neighborhood in San Diego. Food is excellent the chef really knows what he is doing and the service is top tier. Plus the outdoor dining area feels like you are in a botanical garden. A must go to.

Small but mighty! What a nice, lush oasis off the Main Street. We loved the little shaded outdoor patio to have our breakfast. We loved the little decor touches which made it so quaint. The staff was very nice to us, and our food was great! Specifically loved the chorizo breakfast burrito. A good place to check out if you are in the area and looking for food first thing

This is a hidden gem, like a brunch speakeasy inside a bustling urban area. The food is amazing, as expected when the owner is also the chef. Keith is a manager and also serves the food; all of the staff are invested in the success of the restaurant on multiple levels. Great mimosas, full bar, small but carefully crafted menu. I've now tried almost half of the items on the menu and none have disappointed. Current winner: the pound cake French toast with fresh made whip. I suggest ordering one of the amazing savory dishes and split the 2 with a friend for the full flavor experience and creative genius of Chef Alex. No reservations, just drop in, put your name on the list and enjoy a mimosa while you wait to seat and eat. You won't regret it. Enjoy!!

Came here to try this place out after hearing from our friends. Parking may be a little tough since this is Hillcrest. However, we were able to find street parking nearby. This place is hidden and located deep in a building. The decor is very nice, and the service was very attentive. I had a late night out the evening before, but eating here was very comforting and rejuvenated me. Would recommend!

Seating took a little while after opening, likely because they stagger new parties to avoid overwhelming the kitchen with orders all at once. There were tons of fun brunch drinks listed on a cute, record-shaped acrylic menu, although the coffee options were pretty limited. The food menu was just as fun and whimsical, and the waitstaff were all dressed to match the theme. Everyone was efficient, friendly, and helpful. We tried the soufflé pancakes, which were good, though they weren't quite as fluffy and jiggly as Japanese soufflé pancakes. They were also quite sweet on their own, so we didn't really need the syrup. We also ordered the cheese fondue plate, which came with steamed vegetables, kielbasa, and bread cubes--a really fun concept. Overall, the atmosphere is beautiful, playful, and definitely part of the experience. I'd happily come back if I'm in the area, especially if there isn't a long wait for a table.

The moment you step inside, the bi-level space makes a striking impression with its mid-century accents, exposed brick, and warm, moody lighting. It manages to balance a lively, energetic atmosphere with an effortless chicness that feels tailored for a memorable night out. The happy hour here is an absolute standout, featuring an expansive array of creative food options and crafted drinks. The menu brings an inventive Asian fusion twist to bar bites, offering flavor-forward small plates that pair seamlessly with the beverage program. The drinks deserve equal applause: the craft cocktails are meticulously balanced, and the signature ube-inspired cocktails are as vibrant and distinct as they are delicious.
