While I was in the neighborhood, I saw someone holding Saigon Coffee cups and asked her where she got the coffee. She pointed out Saigon Coffee, so I followed her recommendation. I love egg coffees, so I ordered Hanoi Egg Coffee. The drink was refreshing, especially in warm weather. The coffee was bold and strong, but the egg cream added sweetness to the drink. Service was quick. The baristas were friendly and welcoming. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to Saigon Coffee. The price was reasonable, and the quality was great. I will definitely come back here if I am in the area.

The Hanoi Egg Coffee is SOOO GOOD. Egg cream was so creamy and coffee was so sweet :)) I will say this will definitely keep you caffeinated because I drank it at 2pm and I still feel it in my system at 2am :D I usually am not even that reactive to caffeine too... Needed my matcha fix and this place definitely understood the assignment. I got the Viet coffee with matcha and my friend got the matcha with Hanoi egg foam. Both were dangerously good. The matcha was smooth, the coffee packed the perfect kick, and that egg foam? I was fully prepared to judge it... then I ended up stealing bites--I mean sips. Service was quick, the shop was clean, and now I have another coffee stop to add to my growing "just one more matcha" addiction. 10/10 would happily caffeinate here again.

I overheard her cheerfully explaining the menu to different curious customers who needed a little more help finding what to get. I'm very familiar with the different types of drinks you'll find in a Viet cafe and they have a pretty small menu with all the favorites. I got the Hanoi Egg Coffee! It's sweet, strong, and incredibly creamy. I absolutely love Vietnamese egg coffee and order it pretty often, and this one is just so delicious and well balanced. Saigon Coffee is for sure a stand out for delicious coffee!
I've been here a million times and usually order the same thing... iced vegan coconut coffee. The coconut condensed milk allows me to enjoy my favorite beverage without the dairy repercussions. I highly recommend it! But today I tried something new, kind of... I ordered my usual iced vegan coconut drink topped with banana foam. Sweet holy heaven! The very strong Vietnamese coffee with the sweet banana flavor is the perfect pairing. I'm pretty sure I'll be coming here more often. Don't let the long lines deter you from stopping by. The line moves quickly while still offering great service!

We were so happy to see Saigon Coffee at the Hillcrest Farmers Market. They make the FM even better. Today we stopped by the store on our way home for an iced coffee. It was so hot outside, we added a scoop of ice cream to the rest of our coconut coffee when we got hand it made for a perfect cooling treat! read more

I'm a sucker for a good Vietnamese coffee, and Saigon Coffee arguably has the best Vietnamese coffee I've ever had in my life. It was so good that I ended up coming here twice during my recent trip to San Diego. The staff inside were incredibly friendly, and I really appreciated that they let you sample the coffee before ordering. One sip was all it took for me. Their Famous Saigon Coffee has that perfect balance of being strong enough to give you a real pick me up while still being rich, creamy, and sweet. On my second visit, I tried the Famous Banana, which takes their original Saigon Coffee and tops it with organic banana foam, crushed praline, and cocoa. Somehow it made an already great coffee even better. The banana flavor worked surprisingly well with the coffee without overpowering it. All in all, Saigon Coffee gets my highest recommendation for coffee in San Diego. I will absolutely be making a beeline back here the next time I'm in town. If you take nothing else away from this review, just know that this coffe is good AF. read more

Line was wrapped around the corner but it went by in about 10 minutes. Ordered 2 drinks and it look less than 5 minutes to get both. There's some seating inside for you wait after you get your order. The bathroom was clean and didn't require a code. The Hainoi Egg Coffee was my favorite. It was smooth, slightly sweet and the egg cream top paired perfectly. It gave me a huge energy boost without giving me jitters and a headache. The Strawberry Iced Tea was very lightly sweetened. It kind of tasted floral and had bits of strawberry throughout. It tasted okay but I personally wouldn't get it again. read more

was in SD over the weekend and of course we had to stop by and try Saigon Coffee. We came at the perfect time so we were able to walk right up and order. While we were placing our order the line quickly built and went out the door. Although it got busy, the staff stayed friendly and answered any questions. There's quite some room inside so it didn't feel too claustrophobic like shops in the city tend to be. We love phin brewed coffee so we were excited to try ours. Our order came out quickly and tasted delicious! We ordered the Banana Saigon Coffee w/an added shot and Famous Saigon Coffee extra sweet. We will definitely be back next time we're in town to try more off of their menu. read more

Came across this coffee shop after seeing it as one of the top 10 coffee spots in San Diego. I'm always on the hunt for a good strong coffee, so I had to check it out. The line was wrapped around the corner which honestly should've been expected considering the hype. Luckily, the line moved pretty quickly. The menu was straightforward with a good selection of specialty coffees and teas. The shop itself was clean, modern, and had a really nice vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating available. I ordered the Original "Famous Saigon Coffee" and added a foam topping. I have to say... this was easily the best Vietnamese coffee I've had. The staff was super helpful giving recommendations based on how you like your coffee. Service was also impressively quick despite how busy they were. If you're in San Diego or more specifically around the North Park area, definitely give this spot a try and don't let the long line scare you away. Totally worth the wait. read more

Heard about this place and since I was close by, decided to take the small walk to this coffee shop. Even from a distance, this place couldn't be missed with the visible line of people waiting to order as well as their name boldly written on the building. Even with the line being long, this place had some of the fastest service I've experienced! As for the drinks, they were so good. I got one of their popular drinks which was the hanoi egg coffee and it was strong but the cream on top made it sweet enough and made it taste like an egg tart to me. My sister got the matcha with the egg cream and this was one of those matcha that the grassy flavor is more prominent but paired with the egg cream balanced it nicely! I will definitely be visiting again! read more
Saigon coffee located in North Park San Diego area. To start, anyplace that has a line this long out the door and isn't giving away free stuff, has got to be fantastic. So we came down for a concert and we're looking for coffee. Saw Saigon Coffee in the Yelp reviews and had to go. Used to be an awesome spot in Newport Beach that went out of business during Covid sadly, they had the best coffee. Based on that, we had to make the trek to this place. Immediately we saw a line around the corner with easily 50 people waiting. I knew then we were in the promised land of coffee. We parked 3 blocks away and made the journey. And then, we waited. And waited. And waited some more, in the incredibly long line. Once we got up front we were ready to 2 coffees! We ordered the famous Saigon and the blended coconut. Once you get to the register the coffee comes out somewhat quick. If you get blended coconut it takes a bit longer. The drinks were delivered and we actually were able to sit outside at the red chairs and tables due to a lull in the line. I have to tell you, the hype is real. While they don't have even one hot coffee (Newport beach establishment had many) the iced coffee doesn't disappoint. The flavors are there and the coffee is absolutely silky and delicious. They know their craft and I assume that is why they're crushing the lines of people. read more

I've been wanting to try this for awhile but was always put off by the length of the line - it actually moves incredibly quickly! The iced coffee it delicious, and the egg cream gave a bit of pause but it tastes like the custard part of a flan or crème brûlée! For me this is more of an occasion / brunch / dessert coffee than something I'd opt for regularly as it's a bit sweet and heavy - in a great way just not what I opt for in my regular coffee order. *make sure you pay attention when paying to the order number they give you* read more

Viet coffee and egg coffee here is a must get! It's quite strong but the sweetness balances it out a lot. Still, I would 100% recommend this place and will be coming back often. Parking can be hard to find but that's expected. On Saturday brunch time there wasn't a line and our drinks came out instantly. read more

Checked out Saigon Coffee and loved the experience. They specialize in traditional Vietnamese slow drip coffee and you can really taste the difference. We tried the coconut frappe and the vegan coconut which were delicious, rich, and definitely on the stronger side. The Hanoi egg coffee is perfect, sweet, creamy, and strong. The peach iced tea is also super refreshing and perfect for a warm day. Even with a decent line out front, the service was super quick and very friendly. Definitely worth a try if you like strong coffee. read more

Finally some amazing Vietnamese coffee in SD! Saigon Coffee is located right in the middle of all the excitement in North Park. I've passed by so many times and finallyyyy made my way inside after hearing great things about their strong Ca Phe Sua Da! This review is a bit overdue because I got their The Banana Claus, which was one of their holiday drinks. It featured their signature coffee topped with a house-made banana cream. I got strong notes of both banana and coffee! Super creamy, smooth, and delish! A good coffee done right. read more

What would be the equivalence in number of espresso shots in one regular saigon coffee?
It would be equivalent to 3 to 4 espresso shots. They are strong. I highly recommend getting their frozen bottled coffee. It lasts 10 days and is good for 3-4 servings. Just serve over ice.
Do they offer options besides regular milk; oat milk, almond milk?
They have a vegan coconut made with coconut condensed milk. That's what I get.
Do they offer a decaf version? I absolutely love Vietnamese style coffee but I can never find a place that serves decaf.

Do they serve hot coffee or only iced?
Their menu only shows iced drinks. I went only once (so far) and noticed only iced drinks were being made. But it was delicious!
How much caffeine is in a 16oz?
Quite a lot. This coffee is slowly dripped in Phin's. It's a 4 hour brewing process and extracts the maximum rich flavor from the coffee. It also makes is exceptionally strong.
Where I can find their menu? No info about banh mi sandwiches of their website. Are they vegan friendly? Any tofu/jackfruit sandwiches?
They only have coffee. No Banh Mi of any kind
