I ordered one item... white chocolate latte. That was it. Took 10 minutes to get that one item. How is that even possible?!?! 10 minutes and 4 people that ordered after me getting their orders, and I was ready to just walk out of there without my coffee. There was even a little girl who was crying as her and her mom left because they forgot to get her a water, and they didn't seem to take notice that they did forget it. Again, the coffee was good, but the customer service and coffee service is miserable. Don't believe I'm stepping foot in that store again... Coffee time is okay. It lacks organization and attention to customers. I have gone her maybe twenty or more times since January. I have just grown accustom to the frantic behavior if staff and disorganization. If you wait to have breakfast usually even with 7 open tables they will be panicked as if it is a rush, and not actually listen when you answer them their is only two of you. Then the server usually takes about an additional 5-10 min to come for your order. (With a rush and not really The server mentality of trying to "aid" you in the order. This could be due to their limited menu. )The staff is relatively the same .The behind the counter staff changes a bit more. The coffee is good but the sugar free options for featured drinks could use some assistance. I have 2 stars because the coffee is good IF they help you and listen to what you want. read more

The food here used to be good (but I can no longer trust anyone to get my simple order correct). I've called in to order from here a few times on my break from work and almost every time, something is wrong. Once, my order wasn't even put in (so when I arrived in 20 minutes, I had to wait an additional 15 for my lunch to be made, making me late for work) and during that whole time, the cashier walked away from the register and pretended to be busy so she wouldn't have to look at me, meanwhile a line of people were piling up behind me. Another time I had ordered breakfast (3 slices of french toast and a side of bacon...which is what the menu says) and what I got was one slice of toast with my 2 pieces of bacon. When I said something about it I was told "oh I only charged you for 1 slice"...but that's not what I ordered. Now I'm hungry sitting at work. Another time I had ordered a sandwich with veggie chips & extra pickles on the side- what I got was a completely dry sandwich with no condiments on the wrong bread that it comes on, no pickles at all and 2 bags of regular potato chips. 3 strikes and you're out. My co-workers and I will not be returning because of the frequency of mistakes made. You can say I'm being a "hate-er" all you want, but how would you feel if you were craving a tasty grilled sandwich (because you've had it here before) but what you got was dry bread and meat with none of the other things that made that sandwich yummy? How would you feel if you were in the mood for some french toast to start your 11 hour work day and what you got was one little slice. Its disappointing. I have come to this place for the last 10 years I used to really love this place the last few times in the last 2yrs or 3yrs I have stopped in for a drink(mostly to go) and was always early no one seemed to really be in the restaurant but for some reason I'm waiting 15 minutes for a drink and at least 35-40mins for food and it's not busy that's why I'm confused I just don't understand what has happened it's kinda backwards now but I had love for this place at a point not anymore read more

Had gone here multiple times in the past and noticed the slow service. It took nearly 30 minutes to get my triple espresso as the waiter told me multiple times that it was being made. I never do this but I went up to the counter to try to get the drink from the barista. I finally got it when the breakfast arrived. Slow coffee refills for my friends. I felt bad because the waiter, Cody I believe his name was, was so nice the whole time but is just a cog in the wheel of an understaffed coffee shop. The food is consistently very good. I always love the Phyllis. They always have great desserts too. Cute place, always good music playing and interesting people. The staff is very friendly, but they aren't very efficient; they spend a lot of time dicking around behind the counter even when the place is really busy. I've been here a few times and keep coming back, which has to be a good sign. It's always very busy when I stop in, and I guess I can see why... friendly service, great coffee, and a menu with a lot of options, most of them decently healthy and fresh. There's also an impressive pastry case; while I haven't broken down and bought anything from it yet, it hasn't stopped me from drooling every time I check it out. The last time I was in, I ordered a medium latte (which somehow turned into a large) and the oatmeal with fresh fruit. The latte (albeit I did not order this size) was ridiculously huge. I had time to finish it though, so I can't complain; I left highly caffeinated. The steel cut oats came in a generous bowl with lots of fresh strawberries and pineapple, plus a small side of brown sugar and raisins. It was the perfect breakfast. The ambiance is great, kind of dark but cozy. All in all, a great coffee shop that I'll continue to visit when I'm in town. read more

I will admit that we don't go here for the coffee. I have had it occasionally, and it is decent, though I am certainly not a connoisseur. I DO go here for the food, which I happen to think is quite good - breakfast and lunch. It is a bit pricey, but I like that it is local, uses good ingredients, and is a cute atmosphere. The service is pretty good too. Do expect that it can often be crowded, and the seating is pretty tight. read more

The Coffee Co. is a great place to meet up or go with people. It has a nice atmosphere and intersting healthy food that is served in good proportions, so you won't be stuffed afterhand. I reccomend going for lunch unless you want a light dinner. The service is ok, sometimes the hippie waiter staff gets distracted talking to some local customer. Fun place for teenagers to hang out and there is live music every thurs, fri, and sat evenings. Great new owners btw don't be discouraged because you had a bad experience years ago with the old owners. read more

Great little place for breakfast or lunch. Soups are original and yummy! Great for a quiet cup of Joe when you need a little time alone.

Stopped in to grab a bite before getting on the Turnpike -- have gotten probably a dozen cups of coffee here over the years and figured they would have a sandwich or something for my drive. The young woman working the counter was SO PLEASANT and engaged in her work. She recommended a chicken sandwich that was very good. I would've paid extra for twice as much meat in it, but I'll remember it for next time. A solid coffee shop. read more

I have been going here for years. I go for the soup and sandwiches. I have never had a bad food experience. It is the service that stinks. I am not sure if the woman who waits on me time and again is the owner. If she is she should not be waiting tables. She is rude, forgetful and just plain stupid. Every single time she is my server she messes up the order and disappears. Today the entire area I was seated in was looking for her for their checks. Also, her long, loose hair has ended up in my food more than one. But the icing on the cake was her grabbing my napkin off my table wipe something she spilled. I love coffee co. I go there all the time just to pick up something quick and it's great. Went there for breakfast once, very good. Awesome staff... Usually. I was there for lunch today and our waitress was very neglectful. She didn't even give us her name, she is the lady with the bedazzled belt and super curly blonde hair. She basically took our order and left, brought the food and left. I ordered a drink halfway through us being there and she forgot about it until I had to ask again. I also asked for ketchup which I never got, instead she went over to chat with another waitress and people at the bar for 20 minutes. She pretty much ignored us then finally noticed we were just sitting waiting for our check. She also forgot something for another table near us and they had to go to the kitchen door to remind her. She never checked on us once to see if we liked the food, very poor service. Going to request to not be in her section next time I eat there. read more
