Tried this place twice with co-workers. Both times was disappointed. They have coke, Diet Coke, water and coffee for beverages. Yay! I've been anticipating this location opening for months. I'm a cappuccino snob and they do it right. You can't accept a Starbucks cappuccino after you've experienced this level of love and care put into an artisan cappuccino at coffee commissary. The food is also wonderful! I'd only say they should probably staff up more to handle the crowds they are drawing in. I'm also a bit "old woman" about music volume. Think they could turn it down a tad so folks can chit chat more comfortably. That's my only gripe. I honestly think this cafe will add happiness to my life and those who live near Kenneth village. Located in a very cute part of town that I've never been before. I drove quite a distance because of a yelp review that reported that this spot had the best matcha latte. The shop itself is very cool and hipster. I ordered a pork belly breakfast burrito and an iced matcha latte with oat milk. I was a little disappointed to find that the matcha was soooo sooooo sweet. The quality wasn't bad but typically matcha lattes aren't very sweet and a lot of sweetener was probably added.. almost tasted like a melted matcha ice cream. The pork belly burrito was just ok, lots of muted flavors. The best part was probably the chips and salsa that came with the burrito... tastes like it's made in house, warm and perfectly crunchy and a dash or two of salt. I would like to go back to try some of their other offerings but maybe not worth driving across town for. I guess the search for the best matcha latte continues lol read more

Came here on a Saturday noon, 2 hr street parking, wasn't too difficult to find but still a bit limited. Ordered the pork belly Benedict because I'm a sucker for pork belly and oh. My. Goodness. It was delicious! I've had several pork belly Benedicts from other places and they are definitely top 3. Their premium cold brew was alright, not my favorite but did the job. Never change the vanilla latte! Please keep the vanilla non-dairy and don't switch to powders containing dairy like other coffee joints. I have come here a couple times hoping that my experience may change, but it doesn't. Every time I come here the staff are so rude! I came once and a drink was priced at 4.50 and she charged me 5, when I brought this to her attention all she said was "Guess the menu is wrong". It is obviously not about the money it was her attitude to the situation and not even apologizing. Another time, I ordered an ice drink but they made it hot, when I said I ordered ice the barista rolled her eyes and just took the drink. No apology, I felt so awkward. In fact I even apologized even though it was her mistake - She made me feel like such an inconvenience. The items I have ordered have all been delicious and I will go back but I am not happy with the problems of getting my orders done correctly. I have been there about five or six times and twice the orders were wrong. The first time it was not even close to what I ordered. The second time, I asked for the hot sauce (and it is hot) be put on the side and I went over that small request with the employee taking the order. He promised he would monitor it, which he did not, and it was ignored in the kitchen. The sauce was on the food. It had to be redone but all someone did was scrape the sauce off the pork belly, reheat it so it became over cooked and then redid the rest of the bowl. It also took a long time so I believe my order was put into the back of the line. Result was a burnt pork belly that was spicy hot and tough and, therefore, unenjoyable to eat, plus a long wait for it to be redone. Since I had taken it home, it was too much of a problem to come back. One more thing: When food is brought out, the employee bringing it mumbles the customer's name in a low, bored voice and fast. With the loud music it can be tough, if not semi-impossible, to hear unless one is paying strict attention. read more

The space is stylish, and the coffee was delish, but my issue is with the food. I got the $11 burrito bowl which was pretty pricey for what it was, but oh well. They charged $3 for "vegan sausage" which was, I kid you not, literally a beet and black bean mush patty seasoned with nothing. No salt, nothing resembling sausage of any kind. It was the most bizzare thing. If they're going to charge $3 for something, don't lie and call it veggie sausage. Call it beet and black bean unseasoned mush. Or take it off the menu. read more

I really hate to write a 2 star review about a local business, but I have to say the service does not make me want to go back. I was SO very excited when this place opened, but on 3 occasions now I felt the service was rude. No smiles, no warm feelings whatsoever and although the coffee is fine, it's not worth going if I'm going to be made uncomfortable. One guy in particular (wear's a hat most of the time) is the reason for this post, but I haven't found anyone to be super friendly, but just ok. I do like some of the food selection which is why I didn't give it a 1 (although I'm a huge fan of avocado toast and theirs is not one I enjoy) there are other things on their menu that are tasty. But, being that I'm in the service industry myself and in my teens I too worked in a restaurant as a hostess and then a waitress, I don't understand why someone would choose to take a job in the service industry if they really aren't interested in servicing and making the customer happy. Anyhow at this point I will stick with the French Bakery and Art's Meat Market and perhaps wait a few months to see if anything changes before I give it a try again. read more
