Appt was at 2:00. Wouldn't be seen until 3:00. Asked to reschedule and it would be over two months away. Not a great first impression

I left my dentist of 20 yrs for insurance reasons. Always got good hygenic care. I floss daily and have no problems. After 2 years of regular checkups and cleanings a new dentist at this office tells me I need a deep cleaning for an estimated cost of $2,100. Being suspicious, I went back to my old dentist who agreed that I now needed a deep cleaning because they hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time. He said that you don't get that amount of plaque build-up in 6 months. He asked me if the dentist cleaned my teeth himself,which was true. (too cheap to hire proper hygienists apparently) It seemed at the times the cleanings were quick and basic but since the dentist was doing it himself I assumed he knew best. My old dentist took care of the problem and at a fraction of the cost. So, to sum up Coffee Dental in one word it woud be Negligent. After that comes opportunistic greed. Hope your experiences are better but consider yourself warned. read more

I am writing this review for my mom. She had a root canal done last week. It cost her $1000 and the surgeon told her she needed another root canal because another tooth was "very infected". When she went up front to the receptionist desk, the lady would not tell her how much it was, she would only point to a calculator and show my mom the amount. She was offering her some kind of discount if she paid in-full. And was charging her an extra $300 if she divided the payment into three parts. But it just didn't seem legitimate because she would not talk, just point to the calculator and did not give her a receipt with what they we're charging. My mom went to a more reliable dentist in Turlock and asked him to check her teeth. He said the root canal was not done properly and she did NOT need another root canal. We canceled the appt right away! read more

I am a very busy social worker and am in and out of my office throughout the day. I called at 9:30am to make an appointment and was informed that I would have to call back between 10 and 1pm. I asked why, and the receptionist informed me that her "boss doesn't allow us to make appointments before 10am so that we can get our work done". (I was thinking to myself "is she joking??"). I asked to speak to her boss and explained that I needed to make one now, as I won't be available between 10 and 1. Her boss made no exceptions. I have never heard of a dentist or doctor's office refusing to make appointments for patients so that their staff could "get work done". Maybe you have a time management issue? Lack of competent workers? What a joke! How about this...since your PATIENTS are why you all have jobs, how about you designate one employee to make appointments while the others get caught up on all of the "work" that they must do before 10am and after 1pm. Very unprofessional. I was referred to this office by my dentist because I need to see an oral surgeon, which they don't have at my dentist. When I called my office back to tell them what happened, they were not surprised. My office commented that they get so many complaints about Coffee Dental Group that they only refer them there if they absolutely have to. Yuk! Yuk! YUK! read more

Bad experience there. 4 hours of seat time, and hurt worse several days later worst then before. Everything they wanted to do was going to be some out of pocket. They didn't even want to do a cleaning till all the insurance money would be spent. read more

My husband went to this office and has a broken partial. Once we ruled out extracting 7 teeth and getting a bottom denture(cheapest option), and asked for the minimum work to be done to get a new working partial, the dentist hasn't even reviewed the file. We've been waiting all week, they have no timeframe for the dentist to take 5 minutes to review. Only person to work with is the finance man. If your insurance has assigned you to this office, it is not your only option. There are other dentists that take the same insurance nearby. My opinion is that you should take the time to get assigned to another provided and run, don't walk, away from this dentist. read more

I have been going to Coffee Dental for many years with no problems with the employees or dentists. On November 27, 2017, I had my six month appointment. I need to mention that six months ago my teeth were fine and just cleaned. When I went in for my appointment I saw the dentist and was shocked when the billing person told me I needed $3,000.00 in dental work. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and I found out I only need to spend $765.00 for dental work. I do not appreciate being taken advantage of for their monetary interests. read more

actual dentist is good. Cleaning and fillings done to standard without a problem. The front desk is a joke. They never run anywhere near on time. They make you feel like you are bugging them when you come up to check in or ask a question. I've waited hours past my appointment time multiple times here. Then a week ago Monday I called to make an appointment for myself my husband and my son ( we have all been seen here before) and the "manager" freaks out and says there is no way she could handle doing that for me because she's so busy two people have called in and three people are ahead of me on the phone. I said okay... she took my information promised to call the next day... it's now been two weeks. I plan to call my insurance to switch offices. I literally tell people this story and they cannot believe the "manager" actually said to me all the things she said on the phone while not assisting me and proceeding to apparently be sooo busy for 2 weeks afterwards as well. Does not even deserve 1 star. First time here and I wasn't even greeted by the extremely rude receptionist. I came in for a 2:30 appointment, and here I am waiting still at 4:30. This place is PACKED. There are 8 seats in the reception area, and at least 20 people waiting. It's HOT, There are people sitting on the floor, EVEN THE ELDERLY. No stars!!!! this place is a money sucker and the staff are awful. The dentists are wonderful and are very knowledgeable but the staff stay away. My husband had infected teeth that needed to be removed they continually pushed him off until it became so bad his mouth swelled and he was in so much pain he couldn't eat. The staff waitted until the day before to submit to the insurance for authorization and then called to tell us that he would have to do a third consultation (75 a piece and we already had 2 before) in order to have surgery in another 2 weeks. This was indirect conflict with what the dentist was recommending. The dentist said he needed immediate surgery and could not wait and the staff said my husband could wait because it wasn't that bad. Glad I didn't listen to the other reviews and decided to check it out myself. I had a great experience. Didn't wait long at all to get to the back. The doctor was very informative on what I needed and why. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the office appeared to be very clean. Luckily I didn't need much work and they worked out payment options so I didn't have to pay all at once like most offices. read more

My 5 year old recently saw Dr. Bartlett for an initial dental exam. He took the time to explain all the instruments and their purpose. He was very comfortable and excited to go to the dentist! We've been patients at Coffee Dental for several years. Though our dentist left the practice at the beginning of the year, we saw a new (to us) dentist today, Dr. Bartlett, and were quite pleased. He was warm, friendly, chatted a bit and made us feel quite comfortable. While the staff wasn't exactly rude, they could have been a little friendlier - they are all new, except for the RDA that we really like, so they treated us as if we were new, as well. It's a very busy practice, which speaks well of the dentists, so appointments are a little harder to get, but we schedule 6 months in advance, so no worries. read more

I've had a pretty good experience at Coffee Dental Group. I was fortunate to get Dr. Bartlett as my primary dentist - whom I like very much. Was disappointed when at my last appointment he was over-booked, and I had the other office dentist do my cleaning. (This was all after waiting 15 minutes in the lobby and then another 25 minutes in the dental chair - I was a little disappointed.) Most of the staff is very warm and caring. A couple of the front desk people need a little work on their "people skills" - i.e., not smiling a lot, sometimes a feeling like you're bothering them, etc. (I have gotten them to smile after a little conversation.) However, the rest of the staff has been great! read more

Love the office. There is a bit of a wait, but that's only expected for the great service you will receive. This is addressed to dr. Justin keyashian. I'm a caregiver for Patricia who is unable to walk so therefore is confide to wheelchair..she had her first appt with dr. Bartlett bout month ago at that time dr was very compassionate patient and explain about her X-ray and that pat needed deep cleaning that was cause for her pain in gum area.dr said she would hav to come bac to do full X-rays and exam and start some cleaning at least on that area that was causing pat a lot of discomfort. So we scheduled another appoint in another 3weeks.. on sept. 7 was back for some dental cleaning we thought...dentist was Justin keyashiam. He was so rude to pat with all his negative comments about her dental issues and complained the whole time about his back ( oh no I can't work like this it's gonna kill my back) I've been a dental assistant for sometime I know that dentists need to bend some to get to patient mouth and so do assistants..why he couldn't be more accommodating I don't get it!!!! He was young and has no business being a dentist very unprofessional...so next office manager calls me Monday saying other dr. Bartlett doesn't want to do any dental work on Patricia and has to refer her out(which I guess meant someone who can actually do dental ) I feel Patricia was discrimated because she was in wheelchair but the real problem is that that office can't accomadate anyone in wheelchair who cannot transfer to chair in rooms to hard on dentists back(really) doctors are in surgeries for hours but there job is to save lives...what are dentists jobs lol......????? I'm wondering what services they billed for because rudeness isn't covered!,,I would NEVER recommend this office to especially elderly or anyone in wheelchairs (discrimination) read more

I am overrating this dentist by giving a one. I came to this dentist from sonora because he was approved by the P.G.&E insurance that i had. I had good insurance but the estimated cost was still out of line however, the office manager convinced me that going upgraded partials and having all suggested work done would serve me the best. I signed up for care credit and financed the balance (a few thousand $) that i could not afford but being a senior decided better now than later. after recieving the upgraded partials they would not fit properly and after numerous attempts over a year (driving from sonora) i just gave up and have an expensive mistake sitting in our bathroom unusable. as for his dentistry, it was almost as bad I now have 2 teeth broken off at gum line 1 broken tooth and missing teeth due to unusable partials. I no longer have insurance and am forced to live with pain and missing teeth. I strongly feel i was treated in an unethical manner and strongly do not reccomend this dentist read more

I hardly ever write a review for any business/ company but if I could give this Dental Office no stars I would!!! I went to get a wisdom tooth pulled and I ended up getting an infection and no one at that office said they had a answering service available 24/7 on call. I ended up in a hospital for 3 days due to the infection getting worse from pulling my wisdom tooth. After the 3rd day of being in an hospital I called Coffee Dental Group and told them what had happened. They said that "infections happen" THIS WAS MY FIRST WISDOM TOOTH PULLED... I had no idea what could of happened at all by getting it pulled because they didn't tell me anything! They just gave me a paper with steps on what to do etc. and all this bullshit then Cynthia the manager who has VERY BAD ATTITUDE after a couple days later said they had OVER CHARGED ME for my appointment on the extraction. They had to refund me over $200. I went back to Coffee Dental Group for a check up recommended from the hospital along with my $5,000 plus hospital showing them that the infection wasn't due to the medication they had prescribed to me but from my tooth. The Dr. Who pulled out my tooth I can't pronoun his name he's a white tall and looks young but had told me and my mom I quote "That he would not charge me for my other extractions if I needed them pulled or the pano x ray and if I needed to be asleep that would be no problem and that they would try to do everything all in one day since I live a little over an hour away" and he told my mom and I that because I was very upset with that dentist office and especially with my $5,000 plus hospital bill that they would do that for me. So I called a couple days ago recently and spoke to Cynthia like I was told to.. and she said that the Dr never said anything about not charging me!? So now there changing there story basically saying my mom and I are making shit up. It's so ridiculous how unprofessional that dentist office is!!! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DENTIST OFFICE TO ANYONE!!!! THEY SAY SOMETHING TO U AND NOT EVEN MEAN IT!!! IM SO UPSET never have I felt so pissed off!!! I was so pissed, completely dumbfounded and didn't know what to do or if I should do anything when I went in for my appointment today. I was supposed to get my results read by an oral surgeon to see what I have if anything and so they sit me down in the dentist chair, lay me down and say, "OK so we're extracting number 13." I look right at them and was like extracting what???? I went in for RESULTS. They tried to argue with me that someone told me that that's what I was scheduled for. The freaking oral surgeon finally looked at my test that I went there for and said I don't see anything wrong with that area that would cause pain or a reason for a route canal(which was a possibility), but yet he was still going to extract my tooth!! I was so pissed and confused I didn't even ask if the tooth was OK then why are you going to extract it. The assistant finally got me out of the chair, took me to the front receptionist who I supposedly talked to and she looked at me like it was my fault, said OK well you got your results from the surgeon, you owe $10. I was trying to tell her what just happened and she didn't care one bit. She kinda said sorry as she had an I don't care face at the end and now have get a second opinion for my results cause the oral surgeon barely looked at my xrays and said you're fine.
