As someone who grew up in the neighborhood, I used to love going to the Coffee Grinder! I am so happy this coffee shop is still around and serving great coffee. There is always tons of parking in the lot and the shop is super cute and clean! Very affordable too. The workers are always kind and helpful too. I had the banana nut iced coffee with almond milk today and had a blueberry muffin. Pro tip: let me toast the muffin with butter!!!! So good. The bagels also look really fluffy too. read more

Coffee Grinder is a cute little local coffee joint conveniently located in a plaza right off Warwick Avenue. It has a super New England, friendly, local vibe to it. I could tell that this is the spot for a lot of regulars, but it wasn't intimidating for a newcomer. The staff was very busy working hard & multitasking, but cheerful nonetheless. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk & cinnamon (my go-to coffee order) & they did a wonderful job with it. Super smooth & well balanced. Not too sweet, which is totally a pet peeve of mine. Speaking of pets, Parsley loved going for a ride with me to Coffee Grinder & totally approved of my latte (see my attached photo). Hopefully management reads their reviews, because I beseech you to carry something (anything!) gluten-free. There wasn't a single thing there that I could eat. The reason I LOVE to travel for work is because I can expense all my cafe runs lol & cause of places like this one. I have endless good things to say about this cafes first impression. 1 Large hazelnut iced coffee and a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese was 7$ WITH tip... Starbucks who? I risk it with cafes idc if I'm lactose intolerant cause they're just so good! The people here are beyond sweet, the coffee was reviving and the bagel, although it's now in my hips was soft and delish. I love the coffee grinder! The prices are reasonable and they serve Mills Coffee in a variety of different flavors. Their flavored coffee is flavored in the beans and not in a sugary syrup which is one of the main reasons why I love it. They always have a wide variety of bagels and muffins and the staff is so accommodating and welcoming. The only reason they don't get a 5 star rating is because they are not open a ton of hours and they close fairly early at 12pm. read more

Coffee was smooth and not bitter. The mint mocha had the perfect portion to not over take the coffee. Visited in the winter time. Good spot sit inside if no one else is there. This had closed and recently I saw an open side early In the morning around 5. I headed in to find out it is under new management. Can't rave enough about it. The owners/ staff are so nice and friendly. They have so many flavors of iced coffee with actual brewed flavor beans ( not the gross flavor shots). Many bagel varieties ... and low carb bagels! I stopped by the Coffee Grinder before 6am on a weekday. Ordered a coffee and a muffin. Coffee was hot and flavorful. My pistachio muffin was fresh and delicious. I plan to try one of their many bagel varieties on my next visit. The owner/operator was a friendly older gentleman who offered, no, he insisted for me to pay upon my next visit as I missed the "CASH ONLY" sign before I ordered. His kindness made my day. There are several coffee chains in the area, but I prefer the fresh brewed beans at local shops like at the Coffee Grinder. read more

So glad I stopped in! I recently started working in the area and had been wanting to stop in to support a small local business. I drink iced coffee year round and have for years, every once in a while I'm tempted to try a flavored coffee- but they all seem to taste the same to me. Fortunately I enjoy the regular plain taste of coffee, so I don't feel like I've been missing out. Today was another one of those days- I was greeted cheerfully by the young lady behind the counter and asked her which of the flavors was her favorite she said she's heard the snickerdoodle was good. She noticed I was a little skeptical and offered a small taste of it. We joked about beer tasting so why not coffee tasting. I wasn't impressed with the flavor and mentioned to her I thought they always tasted the same - sort of like hazelnut!! She said me too!! And we laughed! I tried another which unfortunately was also hazelnut tasting and then ordered my usual non flavored ice coffee, which was so smooth and without any bitterness! I really liked my iced coffee and the service I received and will most definitely be in again! You should definitely try it next time you are in the area!! read more

True coffee house, real old school no fancy machines that do everything for you. Always great coffee selections and they have some real unique choices of cream cheese and bagels. I love the willow tree chicken salad on a spinach bagel, or a everything bagel with cranberry horseradish cream cheese, yes a different mix but very delicious. My only problem is I bought some ground coffee to make at home and they didn't put any sort of label on my bag so now I don't even remember which flavor it is!
