Dreary day but warm inside Borealis Coffee !

This is a very warm a welcoming coffee shops located in Riverside! AWESOME coffee and great location along the bike path! No matter the weather!

I love the Borealis location in Bristol, so this fall, I decided to trek out to their Riverside location! Both locations lean into the historic brick building aesthetic, and the Riverside location glows with natural light and cozy charm This location is smaller because it used to be a rail stop! It's totally transformed into what may be the cutest coffee shop in RI. The service and coffee making was top notch. I got a dreamy iced coffee, stayed to enjoy the space for a bit, and then hit up the East Bay Bike Path that this coffee shop is located along. It is the perfect weekend activity -- go! You won't regret the stop!

My favorite spot, especially in the Fall, when you can sit outdoors right alongside the bike path. Their coffee is consistently delicious, with some seasonal drinks on rotation. This fall, it was a Harvest Latte with maple syrup and a few spices that make for a perfect companion to sitting in their outdoor area with a book. Never too crowded & I'm almost always guaranteed to find a seat.

A unique location and unique blend, no pun intended, of cool and funk. I have driven by here many times but never took the time to stop in for coffee. I am gland I did today. A clean modern interior and cool train station converted into a retail coffee shop by the East Bay Bike path is very inviting, just even from looking outside. Such a unique space, compared to bland generic commercialized coffee shop experience you find elsewhere. I did not know that they roast their own coffee in small batches. So awesome. Unlike other coffee shops who outsource the roasting, they do it from the green coffee beans. That takes some skills and knowledge. I am not sure where they get their baked goods, but I liked their ginger lemon scone to go with my dark roast coffee of the day. I will be sure to return to this place when I am near by.

Just another review! Ok. It's hard for me to contain myself here because Borealis became my favorite when I first discovered while on the bike bath a year ago. I got to meet the owner at that time, who explained to me why it's named Borealis and here in the Ocean State (he's from Alaska where coffee is a passion) and met his wife (who's from RI). They source their own beans, very carefully, and I got to virtually your the process on an online Yelp event (yeay, Elite status!). They are so passionate about coffee, so you know it's done right. And if you have a question, they will be happy to help. What I love about this place: the coffee is always always always simply fantastic. The food is great. And it's such a great location. Borealis is brewed at other coffee shops and you can buy your own beans (in person or online). #RIFoodFights #BestIcedCoffeeRI #BuyLocalRI

My favorite little unknown coffee shop. Make sure to order the 'Sam Hyde' its not on the menu but they'll make one if you ask nicely :3 You can order it either HOT or Iced - Dark roast - Toasted Marshmallow - White chocolate - Cinnamon on Top I highly recommend to check it out if you live near Barrington

Borealis wins for cutest coffee spot. Love the location. The coffee is delicious and never disappoints. However, the food menu is limited. The breakfast sando was pretty basic and the eggs were overcooked. However, sitting outside was lovely!

Went halfsies on the hummus and avocado toast. Really delicious stuff here.

Part of me wants to write a long-winded review of this place, but think I'll demure. Instead I'll just say that Borealis has gone into our weekly rotation and is some of the best coffee around. Consistency from visit to visit is great, and everyone who works there is awesome and kind. They also have a little kitchen and make some tasty toasts (including one with homemade hummus and Moroccan carrots, which is amazing) and improbably delicious biscuits that they serve with house preserves. Highly recommended despite being a little off the beaten path--which is actually nice.

It's a great-looking spot in RI with a small patio and some limited parking in the back, but the atmosphere felt pretty unwelcoming. To be honest, as a person of color, I felt like we were treated differently than other customers. While the person taking our order was fine, the rest of the staff and even the patrons were snappy and rude, which really killed the vibe. It's a shame because the coffee itself is actually incredible. You can tell they really know what they're doing--the options are expansive and every cup is clearly well-crafted. If you're just in it for a high-quality brew and don't mind a side of cold energy, it might be worth it, but the lack of basic hospitality makes it hard to fully enjoy. A total "vibey" spot on the outside, but definitely lacked the warmth you'd expect from a local coffee shop.

They really encouraged us to keep sampling, which was great because I feel awkward sampling too much. No shame here! We tried some very tasty balsamic vinegars. My favorite was the ume, or Japanese plum. It was very sweet! The oils were good, too, but I only sampled a couple because sampling oil without bread felt weird. We left with a few bottles at balsamic and a bottle of olive oil. They sell different sized bottles, too, and they bottle it right in front of you. One of the standouts we got was blueberry, it has an amazing blueberry taste! Definitely check this place out if you need some fun balsamic in your life- we all do!
