What an interesting/unique Albanian coffee shop! Came here on a Friday morning and every single table outside in front of the shop was filled with men drinking coffee. Kind of intimidating but the owner was so very nice and invited me inside to get a coffee. The most delicious thing I ordered was the Mediterranean sandwich! The bread was crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. It was filled with prosciutto, tomato, cucumber, and pesto/tzaziki sauce, so good! The iced caramel latte was classic and delicious as well. The decor inside was like an European slash Middle Eastern vibe. I ended up relaxing, reading, and staying here for over an hour. Order a caramel latte and received the saddest iced coffee iced received. It was made with caramel creamer from international delight. I also never heard the espresso machine go off so not sure where the coffee came from. While it was supposed to be a latte it tasted like the bad iced coffees I'll make using hotel lobby coffee. Whenever I'm in Jacksonville, I go to Maa Kitchen for authentic South Indian cuisine. After what is sure the be a large and filling meal, we walk to this Albanian coffee shop a couple doors down for a cappuccino or latte with a complimentary biscoff cookie. It's an interesting environment. People drink beer at the outside tables and coffee at the inside tables. There is lots of comfy seating: tables, benches, couches, comfy chairs. And in the center is a huge TV where they play sports programming from their region. Pretty much all of the customers are Albanian, so you get some stairs coming in. The owner is cordial and makes your food/drinks quickly. I've actually never tried the food since I always come here full, but the coffee is good and reasonably priced. read more

My husband and I were looking for a coffee place one morning that offered decent breakfast foods we could grab before work. I happened to stumble upon Coffee House Cafe. I walked up with him nd was immediately greeted by the owner and he was so sweet. He welcomed us like we were family and helped us choose what we wanted to get. We needed up both with the Mocha, and Bacon egg breakfast sandwich. Both fabulous. We sat down while we waited, the cafe is beautiful and welcoming just by the way it looks. As we paid and were getting ready to leave the owner handed us each two fruit puree drinks to thank us for coming to his cafe and I was honestly shocked by the kind gesture. Unusual experience transporting one to distant Albania. The cafe has a large open space filled with colorful velvet chairs and couches. It's a sipping espresso from a demitasse mug while taking a two hour break from work kind of place. There's no drip or brewed American coffee. Rather, you can get an Americano, with espresso and hot water. They come with little biscotti cookie biscuits. I felt a bit out of place but otherwise it was nice! read more

I was going to a market around the corner and was running early and desperately wanted coffee- good coffee. Reviews looked good, so I navigated to the Coffee House Cafe- on the corner of Baymeadows and Philips, it's around the corner of the main shopping plaza- when I pulled in I was thinking- did google mislead me.... nope- I saw the cars and parked. All & I do mean ALL of the outdoor tables (about 6-8) were full of men, drinking and smoking. OK, That's... ok, hold breath, walk to door (allergies). Once through the door I dared breathe and mentally chuckled- again, almost every table inside is filled with more men, drinking and chatting. Did I stumble into a mens club? Ahhh- there's one woman at one table! Did I mention no one was speaking english either. I actually enjoy slipping into places that are filled with culture I might not have experienced- so I was amused and excited. I took my place in line, behind one gentleman and waited my turn to order. I ordered a simple latte to go, it was ready quickly and I took my leave with my little cup of delicious happiness. The worst coffee I have ever tasted. It tastes like they just reuse the same espresso grounds over and over. My coffee tasted like dirty water with milk. The syrup didn't get mixed in, it just sat at the bottom of the cup. Don't waste your money!! read more

My fiance and I made an impromptu visit here while getting our tires changed recently. The cafe is very cozy with many options for seating and the chairs are very comfy! The coffee house seems like a European fusion Cafe with Italian and Greek offerings and is family run! The Mediterranean sandwich was excellent! We definitely want to come back soon! Would love to see some seasonal offerings that showcase food items you cannot get at most cafes. read more

This was my first time here, I was greeted by the owner. He was very friendly and welcoming, he shared with us that his business is fairly new and he was happy to have us as customers. The coffee was really good and I loved the European vibes here. The blueberry muffin was dry so that was not the best but the Mediterranean sandwich was very tasty. read more

Was very happy to find this spot soon after leaving the airport. It fit just right for what I needed.

Stopped into this locally owned table service business this AM for coffee with friends. The owners will come to your table and take your order and bring it back. I ordered an Americano and my friends all ordered cappuccino. The coffee is strong and has a good balance of bitterness versus natural flavor. Each coffee is served with a small spoon with a Biscoff cookie on a platter for stirring. The inside is decorated with pictures and comfy chairs and couches. The music was a little loud for my taste. While we were there, the owner brought us some baklava, Albanian Tres Leches cake, and some sort of pound cake to try. The deserts were a great pairing with the coffee and are all homemade by the owners wife. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area. read more

The reason I'm giving a 1 star is my husband went in to order 2 cappuccinos and came back with them in plastic cups. Scotching hot coffee should never be in plastic cups thats the first time i ever saw that. Within 5 minutes the cups were melting . Wasted money . read more
