It's a clever idea, and one that fits the relaxed, community-minded atmosphere. Inside the café, I ordered an iced chai alongside the Monte Cristo crepe. My wife went with a cortado and the avocado toast. The iced chai was refreshing, although I would have welcomed a little more of the warm spice that gives chai its personality. It was pleasant, just a bit restrained. The Monte Cristo crepe was the highlight of the meal. Filled with ham and mozzarella, then finished with powdered sugar and a raspberry drizzle, it walked the line between sweet and savory without leaning too far in either direction.
