    Pumpkin espresso sitchiation

Damn. Thankful I live near this spot, some of the best espresso I've had in Chicago. You can add CBD to any drink. They are really amendable to any drink requests, so I love that!

Kinda meh. They don't seem to have any specialty drinks, which always seems odd for a coffee shop. Lack of specials makes it kinda boring because there's so much room for creativity, especially in the fall season. I got a mocha and chai, as well as a couple breakfast sandwiches. The sandwiches are assembled ahead of time and warmed up on a panini press. I got an egg muffin sandwich and it wasn't bad, but possibly a bit overpriced. It seems like a well-liked place. There were half a dozen people working on their laptops when I was here. Parking is street only, on Irving Park or the side streets.

English Muffin with Egg & Italian Sausage

Stopped in to this very busy neighborhood spot on Irving Park. Staff of three were handling the morning rush with smiles. Griddled Italian sausage egg and cheese on an English muffin was hot tasty and reasonably priced. Got a dark roast drip coffee from Uganda that was great. Parking can be tough at peak times and it is a cashless operation. Nice spot I'll be back.

Was at work and wanted to get a coffee and so I thought I walk down there is a coffee shop in the building I work. But it was closed. No coffee shop in 15 min walk around that building so what to do. I got over to Grubhub and for the first time I ordered coffee via them. And it was coffee joint - I also ordered a ham and Swiss toast on a multigrain bread. That was so delicious - the delivery with GH was way faster then I thought and the sandwich tasted great. So good that today I will start my day with a coffee and a sandwich from coffee joint.

Cute coffee shop in Roscoe Village! Very cute branding on all their cups & a great selection of drinks / food. Stop in on a weekday or weekend! There's plenty of seats :)

I grabbed a quick lunch here during my lunch break. The decor is classic modern coffee shop, with a comfortable atmosphere that would be great for working. The staff were friendly and quick in making my sandwich. I do think that the food is overpriced for what you are getting ($12.50 before tax for a standard sandwich), although it was good. I am interested in trying a drink here in the future.

This is a great neighborhood spot! With limited hours it's hard to get to stop in but it is so good when I can get there. I dream about these drinks!

    Toasted marshmallow latte. AMAZING

Another 5 star Chicago coffee joint. Loved this little shop. I had a toasted marshmallow latte that was Amaaaazing . Some seating available but not too much so get there early on a weekend to snag a table. Neighborhood gem. I'll be back for sure.

This coffee shop is a gem in the neighborhood. I'm visiting from the PNW so I love a good and flavorful strong cup of coffee. The ambiance and amazing customer service is what has made me come back 3 times out of the 4 days I'm staying here. I also ordered food and it was delicious. I wish there was a place like this where I live because I would go there to get some work done and enjoy my day.

I was in town visiting a friend and stopped here for a quick coffee. It was in October and the coffee shop was decked out in Halloween decor. It has great branding and a neat atmosphere. The staff was also nice. This is probably one of my favorite cold brews I've had. It was not bitter at all and had a great, full flavor. Definitely coming back!

Walked in to see if I liked their espresso beans for home brewing. I got an iced latte w oat milk and light honey and it was bomb! Strong enough for home espresso I think but not overwhelming. For a free drip coffee for buying a bag. Staff was sweet. Will come back!

The shop is sparsely decorated but seems to be a real staple in the community, which felt special to visit as an outsider. My friend and I both ordered egg and goat cheese bagel sandwiches. I ordered an iced lavender matcha and my friend ordered a cappuccino. The sandwiches were made with boiled eggs, which felt extremely odd. The egg type was not clarified on the menu, but I feel like for a breakfast sandwich to include a boiled egg instead of a traditional fried or scrambled egg, that should be disclosed to customers with some sort of expectations. My friend said the cappuccino was "just like every other cappuccino I've ever had." The lavender matcha really just tasted like a regular matcha. It was good but not much lavender flavor! Our food also took a bit to come out, despite the coffee shop being empty (only one other person already dining when we came in) and what we ordered. It looked like there were only two workers. I personally wouldn't visit Sipping Turtle Cafe again, unfortunately. There are a lot of other great options around that satisfy me more.

I don't know what sorcery they are using to bake these scones, but they are not your average dry, flaky pastry. They are moist, gooey, huge, heavy on flavors and ingredients, and always delicious. I'm tempted to ask the owner to start texting me the scone flavors of the day so I never miss my favorites. Top 5 scones: - Peaches and cream - Cherry chocolate - Vanilla chai and/or vanilla rosemary (can't pick) - Lemon ginger - Chocolate caramel pecan Obviously I'm a sweet pastry person, but they also always have a couple of savory options like ham jalapeño cheddar, goat cheese, etc. I had one that was like blackberry habanero one time?? So good and so unique. Thank you, Ritual, for always feeding me scones :)

I got the 16 oz. iced latte which only comes with two shots of coffee, but I asked for an extra shot to be put in. The latte was fine. The espresso flavor was definitely very strong, but nothing unique or experimental. This is pretty typical of Counter Culture beans since they tend to stick to mainstream preferences. Overall, chill spot. The coffee is reliable, and the interior is cozy.

There's currently no reliable way to place a to-go order ahead of time: their phone number isn't listed, the website advertises online ordering but it never seems to work, and the delivery apps are hit or miss at best. I'd honestly order from here a lot more often if I could easily place an order while out walking my dogs and pick it up later. (They freeze great too if you want to savor them). I haven't tried their breakfast sandwich, because I'm not a big pork sausage person-- would love if they had more variations of a breakfast sandwich! You can also order a toasted english muffin that comes with fresh butter and a homemade jam.. it's so simple but addicting. I have had their Lox English Muffin a couple of times, and if you love Lox, it's GREAT. Really good balance of cream cheese/veggie/lox ratio.. though Lox is always so overpowering so it's most of what you're going to taste. If you are a quiche person, PLEASE try theirs. The creativity in their rotating flavors, and their perfect crust, are a must-try. It's soooo well done. Every pastry I've tried has been spectacular, from their almond blackberry croissant to the pistachio escargot, to their donuts.. I don't think you can go wrong. Their cinnamon roll is next on my list.. but I need to try it when I'm with 2-3 other people because it is GINORMOUS. I don't trust that I wouldn't eat the whole thing by myself. Their coffee is good, but there's nothing special to me about it! I come here for their fresh pastries and eats. They have free wifi and it's fairly quiet, so a good place to knock out some work or have a good conversation with a friend. It's neat, clean, and bright with a good amount of seating. This place is right next to my therapy office, so I frequent it a couple of times a month, and I have always felt welcomed and cared for by their employees. If you are eating there, they will go the extra mile to bring your food to your table and make sure you have everything you need. Highly recommend!!
