Jasmine Milk Green Tea. Green Jasmine Tea Milk. Either way, you get the point. I used to get their Milk Tea - LOVE! But then I got hooked on their Jasmine Green Milk Tea with custard. Not a huge fan of the Boba, but the custard I love! Check in on Yelp and you get 10% off! By the way, they're cash only. The McCully location and the Pearl Kai location both have ample parking - no need to worry about that! ATMs are nearby in case you forget that I just told you that it's cash only. Went here because I was in the area after eating at the Curry House. The interior is very clean and still new looking inside. There's a ton of selection. Plus if you check in on Yelp, you get 10% off. Got the milk tea and it was super sweet. The boba was soft but not too soft...just right. Wish I could say how sweet I would want it because I felt like they put a lot of sugar, but hey if you like sugar, then this is the place for you. I was so excited when I had heard that a Coffee or Tea? was opening up here on the west side, I know a lot if milk tea/boba places have been popping up on this dude if the island but nothing compares to the milk tea that they serve here. The staff is very friendly and always suggest for you to try different things when you come in if you haven't been there before! What I love most about this place is that they will walk over to wherever you are standing in the establishment and hand you your drinks instead of just calling your name out loud. The prices are kind of pricey. But I'm willing to splurge a couple extra bucks for their heavenly milk tea. Service was quick. Basically I ordered my Milk Tea and by the time I paid, I was being handed my drink by the other worker. It was delicious. I havent tried other places in Hawaii but it does live up to all the boba places in California that Ive been too and even better (less sweet) than the ones I had in China! There were abundance of flavors that it took me a while to choose which flavor I wanted to try, so I decided to go with the classic. I definitely want to try much more of their flavors - green tea and taro, mostly. If you like the McCully location of Coffee or Tea? and live on the Leeward side, then you'll be pleased to know that this place is pretty much the same thing, even down to the layout. If you haven't tried Coffee or Tea at either location, I'd definitely recommend that you give it a shot if you like cold drinks. The milk tea is good and their tapioca balls are especially tasty and well prepared. Friendly service as well. My only real complaint is that they don't have a restroom inside and you have to use the ghetto bathrooms located quite a distance from the store. (Maybe this could change if they have a bathroom for their employees that they'd like to open to their customers.) Definitely the best milk tea in Hawaii! I've been a regular at the McCully location for a few years now as I would make my way there after class gets out. But having a shop closer to home is awesome and convenient! I see no discrepancy between this location and the McCully location. The staff are always extremely warm and friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. I always get a jumbo milk tea with boba and pudding. There boba beats out tea time, taste tea, mr. Tea, etc and is probably comparable to dragon teas boba. But this place is still my go to for boba and always will be! read more

Same milk tea, different location! When some places open up a second location it can either fail to replicate the success of the first location or it can surpass it. However, I feel that both coffee or tea locations are exactly the same in terms of drinks as well as service. Like the McCully location, the milk tea is probably my favorite and the best on the island in my personal opinion. However, they do lack a little in customer service. They aren't rude or obnoxious but they aren't exactly welcoming or friendly either. It's more like a "be happy with your drink and don't expect glamourous service" kind of place. Parking here is a lot better than the McCully location. The McCully location parking stalls give me anxiety and if there's no parking I'll leave feeling defeated. This is a definite improvement for the new location. You don't have to have a melt down just to get some drinks. Overall, I'm very happy with a new boba place opening up out on this side. read more

THIRD TIMES THE CHARM! I have been to coffee or tea three times, the first time was at their Mcully Location, and second two were at their new location in Aiea. That saying third times the charm surely expresses how I feel about this place. The first item I had ordered was their Jasmine Milk Tea with grass jelly, I could hardly taste the Jasmine tea because it was watered down by all the milk they put it, so that first experience I hated it. The second time I came I ordered their Honeydew milk tea, and this was the worst I have ever tasted, it was like drinking powdered artificial honeydew with milk! After I drank it my stomach was upset and I was scarred after that drink. I finally got another chance to come back to the Aiea location and hesitantly ordered their Green tea shake with pudding. Once I received my drink it was the contrast of green and pale yellow was quite inviting. I drank it and I didn't know how to make of it, I couldn't really taste the green tea, but it was surely better than the first two I ordered before. The taste was calming in a sense of a hot day and sipping on this would make you feel calm and relaxed. From the three drinks I have frank this green tea shake was the winner! This place is open late and a good option for bubble tea for Leeward residents. When I get bubble tea, I always get the same flavor-- milk tea. Coffee or Tea's mix is a tasty sweet concoction that always hits the spot, especially post fatty meal. The bubbles are slightly chewy, warm, and sweet and the milk tea is a home run. This place is great!! My fiancé and I came here based on yelp reviews, because he woke up this morning craving bubble tea. First let me say how adorable this place is. We've been to other places that served bubble tea and the atmosphere was aimed more toward a much younger crowd. Coffee or Tea is like the Starbucks of the bubble tea world. As we walked in we were pleasantly greeted and we were offered samples! He ordered the Hazelnut and I got the original. Both were DELICIOUS. Can't wait to try more flavors. I am kind of a boba whore... I go wherever it is and whenever I need it I have a wide variety of tea shops to choose from. I've started coming to coffee or tea only when they finally opened their pearl Kai location. Since black milk tea is the most common and safest thing to try, that's my normal to order especially when I am not used to the shop. If you screw up that simple order then normally everything else there is a bust. This place has got it down alright! And since i recently started to give up meat and dairy, I asked if there was a dairy alternative. The server informed me that they actually use non dairy milk in their milk teas due to allergies and i guess a higher amount of customers wanting dairy alternatives. So high five to them for listening to the needs of the crowd. There are more drinks than I can try in a year which makes it nice to have something new every time we return. Hot coffee was different, not bad good well roasted. Coffee or tea makes a solid milk tea with pretty consistent high quality boba. Although I can't say it's my favorite boba/milk tea place on the island, it's a convenient place near my home to get my fix. I like how the boba is always consistently chewy, not old or too soft tasting. If you're particular on sweetness level, unfortunately there isn't an option to select % sweetness which is a con, as well as the options for milk tea aren't that vast in my opinion. I always get the taro milk tea with bubbles. The bubbles can be hit or miss. Sometimes they're overcooked, sometimes they're undercooked & sometimes they are just right! There are 3 sizes to choose from. I always get the grande & instantly regret it when I start drinking. I enjoy this location a lot more than the town location because of the parking situation. It's so much easier to find parking here during non peak hours. The workers are very friendly & I enjoy catching up with my friends here. A-OK but some observations on McCully vs this location-- --this one seems to run out of things a lot quicker (jellies, drinks..) --no restroom , even McCully has a key (lots of drinks and tables means restrooms are pretty important! although for a business owner I can see why not offering a restroom to the public is easier) --do check Yelp for a check-in discount! --well this is the same as the McCully location: cash only w the nearest ATM not too close Since these are not major considerations and I'm constantly close by, this place will remain on my regular drink-venture rotation ! read more
