A simple place overall. However their beauty lies in their simplicity. There is no complicated menu. The usual stuff done right. Great place with lots of character to warm up with a coffee first thing in the morning or catch some shade in the midday with an iced latte. It was a great stop for us on an overlanding motorcycle trip as they also have bagels and such and a really nice Honey Bran muffin. Even the Barista added character to our photo! read more

Cute place and staff is friendly however service is really slow and it's extremely over priced especially for a small business. For 3 breakfast burritos that were not only made in the microwave but were the size of a McDonald's breakfast burrito if not smaller, and 4 drinks it was over $70....thats crazy. $8 for a bagel is crazy.... $9 for a 4oz breakfast burrito is crazy... they ask your name for your order but don't mark all of your drinks so when I went to grab one of my drinks they just called out what it was and another customer who's order was take after me came up and grabbed my drink. Then the barista offered me the other drink that was obviously the other guests and when I explained that it wasn't what I ordered she offered to add a flavor shot to it opposed to just taking the opportunity to make me my correct drink. Honestly my biggest complaint is the cost and the value of what you're getting. I'd definitely recommend the European cafe down the way for not only values but quality as well over here. read more

My boyfriend and his family go to Lake Almanor every year for a week-long camping trip. I was able to join them last year and this year, and was introduced to the little town of Chester. My boyfriend was so sure I would love Coffee Station, and he was right! We went here at least three times during last year's camping trip, and at least three times again in this year's trip. The people are super nice, and the coffee is great! If you have the opportunity, try some of their baked goods. Their flaky cinnamon roll is delicious, baked with puff pastry instead of regular dough. They also have some smoothies, but I can never order anything other than coffee here because it's so good! Right on the main drag in Chester, this looks like a good place to stop for breakfast. The interior is pleasant with ample seating, and they offer a variety of breakfast sandwiches and pastries. I just stopped in for a coffee and restroom break. The service was not very friendly, and the coffee is self service which I don't like because it seems coffee served this way is usually not fresh. Great coffee; Fun Staff I stopped here with two friends on the way to a bike ride at Lake Almanor. My double espresso ($2) was generous and excellent. My friends both had mochas. They liked them, even though the flavor was different than their usual Starbuck's. Both also had warmed-up pastries (turnover & cinnamon bun). Thumbs up. I tried the cinnamon bun. This was one of the places I stopped at during my stay in Chester. It's the only coffee shop in town and they made my trip even better! I was able to start a few of my days off with an iced cold, caramel frappuccino. We came by here 2 days out of our trip and each time we were greeted by their friendly staff. I appreciate that this has been one of the longer standing businesses in Chester, but I am so disappointed in the ignorance that has been made visible with the Pandemic. You are serving food and drink, and you are serving to pass- through travelers. To remove masks and gloves just because the county went into orange, is a misjudgment from management. Your staff is not vaccinated and no, they do not have room for 6ft a part in your small square footage, leads me to believe they likely aren't also washing their hands. Your brand is everything in a small town. You have to realize your biggest winter and summer audience will be people from the surrounding cities, that want their families and friends to be safe. Taking the extra precaution like a Nordstrom's would in the heat of Texas, is what sets the leadership apart. I'd reconsider your strategy. This looks really bad. read more

The two food prep/servers working behind the counter not wearing masks. The manager is awesome, very friendly and consistently wears a face shield which is appreciated. Disappointed. Waited a very long time for our 3 drinks while multiple people were served behind us in the drive thru line (maybe they had called ahead?). Then my blended coffee drink- had no coffee in it. When she handed it to me, I asked- there's coffee in there, right?! I had ordered a blended latte- it was all white. She said "Yep"!
