Had lunch next door a month ago and saw sandwich board that said "Turkish coffee and baklava" out front and thought that sounds good. Was back in Boston today and had a gyro near Fenway and thought that I could go for some baklava and coffee before heading home. Upon searching my bookmarks I thought I would head for Sofra which gets a lot of okay for having great pastries. But I had the memory of the sandwich board for Coffee Turco and decided if I could find a parking spot (I did) I would start there. Loved the presentation and the service. The little herbal gummy candies with coffee and the tall glass of water were just the right accompaniment to the order. I would recommend and will definitely be back.

Got the supreme breakfast for two, could never finish!!! It was such a fun spread and so many things to eat. Very filling. It's a bit pricey but worth trying once still. Service very friendly and cozy casual couches to sit on

Turkish standard breakfast including Turkish coffee (front) and smoked salmon sandwich (back)

My partner and I shared the Turkish standard breakfast, including Turkish coffee, and smoked salmon sandwich - TASTE: 4/5 - highlights of the standard breakfast included the tomatoes in the eggs menemen, sweet strawberry jam, and salty and tangy feta. The sandwich was better than expected w its satisfying smoked salmon, sharp red onions, and red pepper cream cheese. The Turkish coffee was expectedly strong; appreciated the sweet, rose-flavored Turkish delight served w it TEXTURE: 4/5 - the white bread soaked up the eggs menemen nicely, and the sides of sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, feta cheese, and mozzarella cheese added variety. Thought the smoked salmon sandwich would come on a more toasted bagel but the texture ended up working, especially w the creamy avocado. You'll see the sediments/grounds left in the cup of Turkish coffee! PRICE: 3/5 - thought the meal would be a little cheaper, but the Turkish standard breakfast was $21.95 alone. Total was $44 SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - left satisfied for lunch SERVICE: 3/5 - walked in at 12:15pm on a Saturday and the tables were half occupied. The staff was friendly. We didn't get water served until 15min after being seated ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - home-y decor w a variety of seating types PARKING: 4/5 - got lucky w a street spot in front of Coffee Turco on Cambridge St

Cute interior. Very instagrammmable. Service was alright. Turkish coffee: not what I was expecting, maybe that's my fault. Sandwich: not bad, nothing special. Waffle: very sweet and the waffle wasn't cooked through enough

Very interesting place. It was fully authentic Turkish cuisine however it wasn't what I was expecting. The interior and service was excellent but the food was mediocre. The menema felt like I could make the dish at home for a quarter of the cost. It was good and portion size was very nice but the flavor and dish itself was quite underwhelming. Overall though my friends liked their dishes and it seemed like a nice hole in the wall so it was fine but overall I'd probably come here for bakery items like their baklava or coffee next time!

I love this place! I came in on a Sunday mid-afternoon and most of the tables were filled. There were some people studying/working, and they found a great place to do it- about half of the seating is couches formed into booths so it's very cozy to stay for a few hours. My friend and I split the Turkish serpme breakfast for two which consists of soujuk (beef sausage) and eggs, menemen eggs, feta cheese, kashkaval cheese, grilled halloumi, mozzarella, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, berry jam, nutella, halva, honey with kaymak, simit (Turkish bagel), cheese pogaça, and white bread. The Turkish coffee and tea were both great, and we tried the wake up sandwich which comes on a croissant and is one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a while. The Kunefah and cocoa & pistachio baklava were also incredible. I highly highly recommend this place!!

I have been searching for a good Turkish breakfast in Boston for ages, and Coffee Turco was a perfect place that fit my expectations. My friend and I ordered the SERPME breakfast for 2 people, and it was delicious. There was such a wide variety of foods that came in the breakfast, both savory and sweet, as well as bread and a complimentary drink. The portion was great - there was even a lot of food left over after we finished eating, and it is well priced for the amount of food we got. My favorite things were the ajvar and the jam, and the simit was so fresh too. The cafe itself is so aesthetic and very nicely decorated, and it truly feels like such a cozy spot. Our server was so friendly and always approached us with a smile on his face, which made the experience even better. I enjoyed my brunch here and would definitely recommend.

The seating area was cute with lots of personality, the staff was friendly, and the food was yummy! The potato gozleme reminded me of scallion pancakes, which I love. I want to go back and try the Turkish surpreme breakfast, which all the other tables got.

Very cute and almost hidden Turkish coffee bar in the middle of downtown Allston. We stopped in one morning hoping to grab a quick coffee for the road, and were immediately drawn in to stay when we saw the cozy atmosphere and spoke with the welcoming and friendly staff. I ordered the Turkish coffee, and knowing that it was my first time trying one, the waitress brought out sugar cubes with my order and explained to me the best way to drink the coffee. I then moved on to the Avocado Toast which was one of the best I've ever had. Can't wait to go back!

    Very nice menu.

Excellent food (I had a Caesar Salad and Mozzarella Sandwich). Both were brought to the table at the same time (No biggie, but worth noting). So you may want to specifically request if you want your items staggered. My friends had Turkish Coffees which they said were very good and authentic. Payment, if you're reasonably tech savvy, is very easy. Scan the QR code on your bill and you're taken to the Toast app to pay with the payment service of your choice (I used Apple Pay).

    Milky Hazelnut baklava

Finally popped in here after many times of just walking by, and I was glad we did! It has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere and decor, and the staff are very friendly and sweet. They seem like they take a lot of care with the restaurant. For food, we got a Turkish coffee, an iced coffee, the croissant sandwich, the hummus wrap, and two types of baklava - the pistachio and the milky hazelnut. Everything was delicious and felt like it was made with care, especially the baklava - slightly expensive, but tasted very homemade and probably the best I've had in Boston so far. Overall, I'm excited to come back. We saw someone get the serpme breakfast which looked insanely good, so I'm looking forward to trying that!

Here in Boston for a family reunion! This lovely restaurant…read morewas a short walking distance from our rental townhouse. Bahar our server was super helpful, attentive and kind. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio where the steady cool breeze refreshed us. The small appetizer plate with falafel and hummus was my favorite part of the meal. The falafel were flat and oblong, crispy and flavorful. I appreciated the texture of the hummus and babaghanoush (hearty and chunky, rather than smooth). The lamb adana and chicken Adana were delicious as well, complemented with pickled purple cabbage, red and white rice, and roasted green chili pepper (caution--spicy even if you remove the seeds!). Generous portions! We shared three entrees among 4 of us, along with two small appetizers and had two take home containers!

Love love love this place…read more First night in Brookline and walking to Whole Foods for supplies, we saw two big families leaving here looking happy and sated and rubbing their tummies; so after our shopping we came for dinner right at dusk, and immediately sat outside. Our server Bahar was so kind and helpful: I have a dairy allergy and really wanted to try the Ali Nazik, but the lamb marinade has dairy, we we got the Sultan's Delight (same smoky eggplant puree with baked lamb). We also ordered Chicken Adana, and the small appetizer with falafel and hummous; all to share for 3 of us. Our fourth got the Iskender Kabob for himself. Bahar first brought a bean salad (so fresh and light) and bread (yum). Then the appetizer: the falafel was flat (not spherical) which meant the surface area of crunchiness increased--so delicious; and the hummous was much grainier than I've had, which gave it such a lovely texture. Bahar came out with the Sultan's Delight, and rushed back apologetic that the chef used dairy today, so we ordered a second appetizer with babaganoush and falafel (we really needed more falafel once we got a taste)--the babaganoush was, like the hummous, grainier in texture than we were used to and so pleasing to eat. If it weren't for my dairy allergy, we might never had ordered the chicken adana kebab, which was so flavorful and lovely: the orange rice was so nutty and made my mouth happy. We realized that we wanted to try the Lamb Adana Kebab, which had such a phenomenal flavor palate with a nice spicy kick. The peppers that came with the entrees were like sneaky super hot shishito peppers in flavor. Bahar took such lovely care of us, we had an amazing meal.

However being in…read morethe suburbs of Boston, it gave me the opportunity to try other cuisines, and I was excited to see this authentic Turkish restaurant not far from my hotel. Ironically, I found this place when I was looking up ice cream. They serve authentic Turkish ice cream, and it's been something I've been wanting to try. In addition to the ice cream, I ordered Manti (Turkish dumplings) and Uludag soda (which they say is a Turkish ginger ale). I loooooooooved the Manti. While the dumplings were filled with meat, the dish overall felt light since each dumpling is like the size of a quarter. The dumplings had a nice chew, and the sauces made the dish rich yet creamy. The Uludag soda was definitely much lighter than a ginger ale. Tasted like a light citrusy drink, and it's less sweet than American sodas. The ice cream had a nice pull and chew, although it didn't look as stretchy as Turkish ice creams I've seen. Nice amount of pistachio flavor throughout. I came on a weekday lunch, so there was ample seating inside. Ordering is done via a QR code on your table or on a tablet stand in the middle of the restaurant. Service was quick and friendly, making it a great experience overall.

Friendly and helpful staff. I rate 4.5, but will give 5 as no intermediate option. Improvements would mainly be timing of different courses delivered at table (was fast, but more time between mezzo and mains would be better). I believe that this small business has even greater potential.

Lavash Grille - Cambridge, MA Total Score: 9/10…read more Lavash Grille in Cambridge delivers a Turkish and Mediterranean dining experience that feels both vibrant and deeply comforting. This is the kind of place that works beautifully for group outings, thanks to the big, long tables that make it easy to settle in, share plates, and actually enjoy the social side of dining. The sampler platters and mixed grill dishes are absolutely the way to go. Portions are generous, the variety is excellent, and everything we tried tasted fresh and well balanced. The hummus and baba ganoush were both standouts, packed with flavor and a great start to the meal. One of the biggest highlights was the manti. These delicate, bite sized dumplings with yogurt sauce were pure comfort food and easily one of the most memorable dishes of the night. The haydari (similar to Tzatziki) was another favorite. Rich, creamy, and incredibly flavorful, it's the kind of dip you keep reaching for long after you're full. For something a little different, the traditional Turkish coffee made with hot sand is such a fun experience and well worth ordering. Ending the meal with coffee and rice pudding felt like the perfect, cozy finish. On a practical note, I was genuinely happy there is some parking here, which is always a welcome bonus in Cambridge. Overall, Lavash Grille is a place I'd gladly return to. Great food, perfect for group settings, and an all around enjoyable dining experience.

They have a small parking lot off the side of the restaurant which is free. Inside, there is plenty of space. The service and staff are very nice. We got a lentil soup to share, manti and beef liver as appetizers. Everything tasted amazing. The manti could be a little softer. We also got coffee and tea. The tea was refilled throughout the time we were there which was a nice touch. For my main I got the chicken Adana and my friend got the lamb version. Both were grilled to perfection. Such simple ingredients but the meal was well balanced. The meat came with rice and some grilled/ pickled veggies. The only thing to note is that the bathroom is shared with the building and was out of toilet paper and was in bad condition.
