Very competitive prices, excellent food and solid service. Inside was fairly nice, and we appreciated the robust AC on a hot summer afternoon. Only small disappointment was the bread: for some reason they didn't have the lavash they're named after, nor the fluffy white bread in the photos, just some standard pita bread which they did warm up on the grill before serving so it was decent and went well with their excellent baba ghanoush, hummus, etc. (their meze sampler has 5 different kinds) We also had their grill sampler which was also very good and all the meats were cooked tender including the lamb which was rare as requested---a lot of Mediterranean places overcook their meat, so we were very grateful for that! Even the chicken came out tender and moist, not dry and tasteless like at 90% of restaurants. Tried "Aryan" their yogurt drink, which is interestingly equal parts salty and sour, and quite filling---removed any desire for baklava on my part! Regretfully, they do not have the Turkish national drink, "Raki"---but they are probably keeping halal so no alcohol in the vicinity, alas. Parking was easy, a rarity in Cambridge. Wish they'd have some advertising or signage on the main roads because we never would've found out about this place if it weren't for a friend of mine mentioning that he once worked here. It's not easy to find authentic Turkish food near Boston / Cambridge. Found this place on Instagram and am pleasantly surprised. They have a small parking lot off the side of the restaurant which is free. Inside, there is plenty of space. The service and staff are very nice. We got a lentil soup to share, manti and beef liver as appetizers. Everything tasted amazing. The manti could be a little softer. We also got coffee and tea. The tea was refilled throughout the time we were there which was a nice touch. For my main I got the chicken Adana and my friend got the lamb version. Both were grilled to perfection. Such simple ingredients but the meal was well balanced. The meat came with rice and some grilled/ pickled veggies. One of the few places open on 4th of July if you are looking for something to eat like we were! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and the food here. The restaurant wasn't busy so we got to choose our seats. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was my first time having Turkish food and it was great. We for appetisers we ordered the Haydari, Yaprak Sarma "Grape Vine Leaves", Humus, Antep Ezme and the Tereyaglo Karides and the Mixed Grill platter for 3 of us to share and we were all stuffed by the end. We sat outside, which we were initially excited about, but unfortunately, there was a noticeable smell coming from a nearby dumpster. That really took away from the experience. Service was another weak point. The waiter barely checked on us, so anytime we needed anything, we had to just sit and wait until she eventually came around. Was recommended this spot from a friend because she saw videos from IG. I have to say food was decent and definitely not a common cuisine in Boston. Passed by this rotary often but never noticed this spot. First impression is that this spot is BUSY and is compact with tables inches from each other. The standout was the manti (Turkish dumplings with beef filling)--the wrappers were just the right thickness, and the dumplings were bathed in a rich, garlicky yogurt sauce. Highly recommend! Came here on a Friday at 6:30 and we were seated immediately. It was fairly quiet that evening. Service was prompt and we put in our order for baba ganoush, kibbeh, and the cig kofte for appetizers. The location of this place is rather hard to find but it's worth the find. Sharing a building with a rental car center and dance hall, Lavash is a hidden gem. The decor is warm and inviting, maybe not the most comfortable seats and tables, but they're fine. The kibbeh meze is good, with a crispy exterior and warm and soft ground lamb and bulger wheat interior. The marinara sauce side is curious but it works. The lamb shish entree is tremendous, with a diversity of color. It's quite a feast for the eyes and stomach. The lamb is grilled nicely though I wouldn't mind it being a little more rare. The rice with chickpeas with the bulgur wheat in tomato sauce is really filling. The salad is quite colorful and the components complement each other (carrots, red onion, pickled cabbage, etc.) I had some of the kofke too and enjoyed the grilled ground lamb. The Turkish tea was a wonderful ending to the dinner and is a relaxing drink to end the night. Service is friendly, but short-staffed. The service was fast and efficient and all of our food came out nice hot. We shared the halloumi appetizer, the borek appetizer, and the mixed grill platter. The apps were delicious and all of the meat that came on the platter was super juicy and tender. The dish could have used a bit more rice for two people but overall it was fantastic. For dessert we had turkish coffees that came served with turkish delights, and an absolutely delicious Turkish dessert that was similar to flan and tasted like rice pudding. Thus is the best Turkish food I have had in the Boston/Cambridge This restaurants offers the most authentic turkish food with a huge menu! We got the cold mezze platter (came with pita), warm mezze platter, and beef shish. Both mezze platters were extremely delicious and excellent deals! My favorites were the cold mezze stewed eggplant and the warm mezze manti. The manti in particular feel like a labor of love because each little dumpling is so small and fussy that the amount in the mezze sampler was still at least 2 dozen tiny dumplings that had to be folded. Each platter was full of a wide range of different flavors and textures. In particular, I think that the cold mezze would be an incredible pick for a vegetarian meal. The beef shish was absolutely delicious, but felt like less of a steal because there wasn't a ton of meat... But I understand that beef prices are currently at an all time high. Not upset at all about it. We also had kunefe which was very good and deserves to be an Instagram star with crispy phyllo and a cheese pull. You really wouldn't expect sweet cheese to work so well, but it does. The Turkish coffee was also excellent. The only cons were that the restaurant was so empty that it felt awkward (probably due to the bad location and weekday evening). If you can get over the first impressions, you're in for a great meal. We were very excited to try Lavash as the food and menu looked delicious. First off, parking was very difficult, as there were only about 4 spots outside and the nearest public lot is all the way down the road at the mall, which would have been fine had it not been freezing rain that night. When we got in there, it took a minute to be acknowledged which we attributed to it being pretty packed. Once we were seated, it took a long time for our orders to be taken and none of the servers had even a hint of a smile. It honestly felt very uncomfortable in there, as if we were a huge inconvenience--our friends went again a few days later and said the same thing happened. No lavash at a restaurant called Lavash? Very odd, but the only bread they have is a plain white, flavorless bread with some black sesame seeds on top. One of the main reasons I went there was because I love lavash--the thin, soft, handmade flatbread that is such a core part of Middle Eastern cuisine. They don't even have pita bread, not even the pita chips that are advertised on the menu as coming with the hummus. So the only bread you can use to scoop up the falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush etc. (which are all fantastic!) is a plain, dry white bread. It has no flavor and does not do any of their dishes justice. Please make the actual product your otherwise great restaurant is named for--LAVASH--and the pita you advertise on your menu too! read more

We decided to give Lavash Bar and Grill a try yesterday. Parking was not a problem and there is open lot to park in. We were greeted by a man who seated us and got us the menu. But that was it , between that time and time we left we did not hear single word from the servers who we realized didn't speak English or took our order nor from the gentleman apart from taking our order or asking how food was or nothing. CS was very very lacking Another thing for lack of a star is we been to lots n lots of turkish and middle eatern place and most of them have their own signature hot suaces but this place uses a bottled louisiana tabasco sauce. I mean really ... Cmon on man. The bread also was pretty much a ready pita bread warmed and sliced. Most places bake their own bread so that was a bummer The food was good and it was on par with other Turkish place so def no complains there. We got Shepard's salad, cold mezee platter, Chicken Adana kebab plate, Turkish tea, Turkish coffee , Kunefe and falafels. Chicken Adana were specially good with seasoning compared to other items where seasoning was lacking a bit. Chicken was moist and soft and had nice spices in it. Rice were cooked perfectly and those were very nice They had wine i guess but we were never given menu for it so unfortunately we didn't know they had and i suppose they lost out on that revenue. Overall if you live in the area it is a good place but customer service needs to be picked up and def needs an authentic house hot sauce and not Louisiana tabasco sauce. This is a really good place to grab some food. Their rice is really really good and their chicken is too. The baklava is the best of it all, the flavors melt in your mouth. The owner of the place is really nice and so is the service. The ambiance was really good it wasn't too packer and there are a lot of seats.
