    Triple mix platter
    Joy G.

A beloved neighborhood institution and some of the best Turkish food in Boston. It's one of those restaurants that's smaller than it looks from the outside, so if you're coming on a weekend evening, come early or be prepared to wait. We managed to snag one of the last two-tops. Even though it got full, I never had to yell or strain to hear my friend, a blessing for my ears. We tried: 1. The 3-mezze sampler, with the baba ganoush, cretan mash (a blend of broad beans, garlic, olive oil, lemon, all the good stuff), and the yogurt dip. My favorites were the smoked eggplant and cretan mash. The yogurt dip paired perfectly with the meat platter we ordered. Pita bread on the side was also delicious and fluffy. Definitely brought me back to Istanbul. 2. Falafel plate, with hummus and tahini sauce. The falafel was fried expertly, not drenched in oil. It's 3 pieces to an order for almost $10 - the only thing we ordered that I thought was a tad steep for the price. 3. Triple mix grill, with lamb, chicken, and adana (ground beef and lamb) shish kabobs. We wanted to sample all of the different meats; my favorite was the chicken - perfectly tender, so well seasoned, incredible. The platter came with two grilled peppers, two grilled tomatoes, a pile of pita pieces soaked in the sauces, and a bowl of rice. I'd say it's perfect for one person for their entree or for two people if you also order some mezzes/salad. Also got the cold milky baklava as a dessert - I only wish I was less full to enjoy it. Chocolate pistachio baklava topped with a milky syrup, need I say more? Service was super friendly. Another table was waiting for ours as we were finishing up and the hostess moved us over to the bar area and gave us some complimentary Turkish tea. Free, abundant parking in the back, so you don't need to scrounge for street parking. I'll be back!

Great mediterranean spot roughly 20 minutes out of Boston with a nice diner type vibe inside. Staff is extremely helpful and service is great. For the price of everything, you get great quantity and overall amazing food. My friend and I shared the avocado basil hummus which tasted super fresh and the pita bread was warm and soft.

I am a fan of this restaurant. I have been there a few times and every time the experience has been great. The ambience and the service are good. I am big fan of their halva and coffee. They give you complimentary bread, salad, and other fun dipping sauces. I loved their kebabs. The meat was all perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. I was a fan of the liver kebabs and would go back just for them. All in all, don't sleep on this restaurant. Give them a visit.

The food is incredible! I would give them 6 stars if I could! After driving past this restaurant a gazillion times, I said, " You know we have to try that restaurant out" and finally we did and at a very busy time around seven . They didn't have any tables available as this restaurant is small and came at peak hour but we managed to get a couple seats at the bar. We had the best baba ghanoush, the lamb, Adana, and chicken kebab..,it was delicious!!!!!! The salad was delicious too! And the pistachio dessert was divine with goat ice cream! The main thing is it was fresh! There were also a lot of takeout orders so I think this restaurant is a no-brainer for me. If I need to entertain people, I will probably order a bunch of kebabs from them and know the quality would be fabulous because it's small, it was a little hectic when I was there since food was being passed along the table with an empty stool next to me at the bar. But I get it. It's busy! I would like to come in when it's a little quieter maybe around five I have a more calming dining experience!

This place is great! In an area that's seemingly a little inconvenient to get to (close to a main…read moreintersection), but it's a great option since I work nearby. When you first walk in, it's a bit quiet and you have to wait for someone to come from the back to greet you, but be patient because once you're seated, service is attentive and available whenever you need it. There are lots of rustic-looking tables, which give it a sort of homey feel, and some tables can fit 12+, so they can definitely accommodate large groups. My colleagues always get something different, but I get the same thing every time: the grilled boneless pork shoulder and it is so good. The pork shoulder is a bit fatty and comes out juicy and flavorful from the grill - droolworthy. It comes with sauerkraut, but it's not your typical sauerkraut; it's more like a mild slaw with just enough acid to cut through the fatty pork. Also comes with your choice of side and sauce. The garlic toom is the only option in my opinion (of course, they have others), but get ready to have kickin' breath for the rest of the day. Others have gotten the lamb tongue, lentil soup, falafel, beef shawarma, borscht, pelmeni, eggplant rolls, and they have all been hits. Don't think I would ever come out of my way to this restaurant if I didn't know about it, but it's totally worth the trip!

I got the chicken, hummus, potatoes, and pita with yogurt sauce and it was pretty solid. Good flavors and very filling. The sauerkraut - which I usually do not like - was actually really yummy and not bitter.

Only reason anyone would know this place exists is either they stumbled on it or someone told them…read moreabout it. It is unassuming and semi-tucked away; you wouldn't actually notice them unless you're actively looking. However, that unassuming feeling disappears once you find yourself inside the establishment. There is this feeling that I cannot explain that sends shivers up my spine. One can't help but feel welcome here. Rose is an amazingly friendly soul that just puts you at ease with the tone of her voice. Even the other customers are friendly with the way they acknowledge you as you walk by towards wherever you're seated. There is happy banter in the air and friends of the establishment would often show up and make themselves immediately at home. You get the point. You're welcome here. But what makes it so special to me now is always the food. And for what they already offer to start, that states quite a bit to what I think of this place. There are many Persian/Middle Eastern fare in this area and most serve the usual so nothing seems to really stand out. That is, at least, until you order their Jujeh Kabob (grilled Cornish hen). Sounds simple, looks simple, but the depth of flavor and the tonguegasmic moments you have partaking of the dish changes their level in the culinary game in the area. It was so good, so so good, I felt completely blown away. I raved about it to Rose, who then told the chef-owner, and then told her I'd be back the next day just to try it again. No way it could be that good I thought. I had to come back again to make sure it was indeed the case (instead of ordering it for "dessert" right in the moment). Well, I showed up at lunch again the next day for exactly the same dish. I just had to. I was hooked. I was made a perma-fan. As I write this, I know I'm about to do what most crazy foodies do as they gain traction in their mind. Get ready and go get some more. Time to wrap this up and head there. See you around some time. Definitely recommend their Jujeh Kabob beyond words.

Grape leaves - paired with the fact that the oils were solidified/ congealed which is really unappetizing - had MOLD on them. We will never order from here again.
