He trains and coaches all the baristas at Lamppost and has definitely made an impact in making Lamppost one of the best coffee shops in the Williamson County area. This flight had three incredible drinks: the standard espresso shot, the milk and espresso drink (a cortado), and the show-stopping signature beverage that I could drink 30 of in one sitting. Lampost has many locations in this area and they all are consistently good. What is exceptionally nice about this location is it's overall ambience... Nice vibe quiet yet welcoming. The tables and working area areas are spread out nicely across this spacious location. The coffee was fantastic. The espresso was very flavorful and not at all burnt, like some of the other competitors in the area are known for in their coffee. This trip, I tried their chocolate chip cookie, and was a little disappointed. It was dense and heavy and the taste was not that pleasing to the pallet. Perhaps it was just an off day - I don't remember the cookies from Lampost being this thick before, but my memory may be failing me. Regardless. I will definitely be back for the coffee and try another bakery item to satisfy my sweet tooth.

The interior has a homely feel, with a mix of small tables and big comfy leather settees, and shelves with books and retro radios adorning the place. They're also roasters, so their coffee is made on-site and fresh. I'm currently kicking sugar, so I've been having my coffee without it, which really helps me focus on the flavour, sifting the good from the bad stuff (at least for me). I ordered a flat white, and it was bold and flavourful, plus the barista created a happy smiley face on top of it. The staff were very friendly and seemed happy to serve, helping with the very "chill vibes" of the place.
