Love this location off McCarran. So spacious, and well-designed indoor and (dog-friendly) outdoor seating. Full of light with lots of fun, original, and tactile decor. It always seems like the parking lot is pretty full, but plenty of places still to sit inside. The ham frittata is a surprisingly delicious way to start the day with one of their broad range of tea and coffee drinks. I had a seasonal rosemary matcha, and the hint of spice and rosemary sugar on top was delicious. And if you get the pizza, it's way beyond what you'd expect from a coffee shop. It's pretty much hands-down best crust I've had around here: thin in the middle but not soggy, and just the right amount of crunchy, chewy dough in the crust. I was amazed until I recently realized these are pizzas from Doppo (same ownership). Just know you have to order a bit early if you want to get them for dinner. Shop closes at 6 and I think pizzas have to be ordered by 5:30 at the latest. Definitely a go-to spot for drinks, light bites, and a comfortable sit-down experience. Top-tier coffee shop. Hands down. I'm guessing everyone already knows about this place, since it's never empty, but in case you don't, this is where you want to go in Reno if you're looking for quality coffee. I'd give more stars if I could, because they nail everything: service, flavors, atmosphere, and more. Their menu is full of flavorful crafted drinks (I always get something basic, like a Gibraltar, and they do it absolutely perfectly every time), and the coffee they use is a cut above--rich, slightly chocolatey/hazelnutty, great on its own and especially with milk. Really nice tea selection as well, and they brew it thoughtfully, waiting for it to steep and removing the bag before serving. And you would never guess it, but their pizza is also the best pizza we've had yet in Reno. On top of this, the interior and exterior are really warm and inviting. They've got Bob Ross running full-time on a TV and the vibe is really cool, with some Batman-looking motorcycle hanging from the ceiling and some cool hifi equipment as decor, in addition to plants and ample seating inside and out. They were just opening and getting set up and they quickly took my order and had the coffee out in no time. I personally think this is the most beautiful coffee bar out of the other Reno locations. I enjoyed and also was confused by the taste of my coffee, but I am attributing it to the fact I haven't had such complex flavors in coffee. I had a special orange flavored coffee (I can't recall the name) and it tasted good yet confusing. When I had my friend try it, he liked it very much, so it might very well just be my own personal palette (as are all reviews). Service was quick and I thoroughly enjoyed my time studying here. On my way home from a trip to Reno I stopped at Coffeebar for some caffeine and to meet up with a coworker before my drive to Sacramento. The parking lot was full of cars which made me worried it was going to be packed inside, but I was happy to find plenty of seating and only a few people in line. I ended up asking the person at the register for their recommendation and ended up with the honey almond latte. It was just what I needed and so tasty. I'll start off by saying I love Coffeebar. I've been to many locations over the years and am always taken by the warm ambience, delicious coffe & treats, and excellent customer service. I would have gladly offered 5 stars - but my experience at the Northwest Reno location gave me pause. When I visited the establishment at around 6:30 in the morning - greeting the cashier with a kind good morning and how are you, I was immediately met with a one word answer of "fine" and evident impatience with no desire for a friendly exchange (even though there was not one customer in the place and no one behind me in line). I ordered a pastry and my coffee - specifying extra hot, and asking that they please take special care to make sure it was extra hot, because often when I request that my drink still comes out closer to Luke warm. The cashier (maybe the manager? Long wavy hair with many facial piercings) was quick to retort with defensiveness and rudeness that baristas can only bring it up to a certain temperature so there was really nothing that they could do. I have been ordering coffee for 25 years, and ordering extra hot (at other cafes as well as Coffeebar) and have never received a response like this. It really bothers me when employees jump to conclusions and make assumptions (the assumption that my coffee actually was hot and I just don't know what I'm talking about) instead of just graciously hearing my request and doing their best to accommodate it. I was not rude or demanding in my request, I was polite and clear. The cashier proceeded to go tell the barista about my order, where I then heard them both laughing together - clearly making some sort of joke or comment about me, the high maintenance customer. She also threw my pastry up onto the counter without saying anything like "here's your croissant." Just put it there and walked away without making eye contact. The barista was equally dismissive and rude when she put my coffee up, mumbling, "here's your latte" with no mention of it being extra hot. Conclusion: the temperature was fine, my latte was hot enough. But the rude and dismissive attitudes of these two young employees, and their lack of respect, really left a bad taste in my mouth. I've been a loyal customer for years and I deserve to be treated with kindness. read more

Plenty of seating to share with a group, with a date or intimate seating if flying solo... or if you are stood up like me. I was supposed to meet a friend to catch up. Unfortunately a crisis at home held her back. I was already on my way when notified. Since it's my first time at this new location I decided to go anyways. I live how ample it is. Also the huge windows allow for lots of light. Dark wood, black leather coaches, antique electronic installations and unique bike pieces give it a cozy but interesting ambience. I appreciate that the music it's in the background. Not drowning conversations. People can chat at a reasonable volume instead of screaming to make themselves heard over music, like happens in so many coffee shops. They were out of my to go chai mix.
