I got super lucky pulling up here and getting a parking spot in the one hour parking, which was my biggest worry, especially because it was graduation day. Walked right up and there is a menu on the wall and handheld menus available. I was very impressed by the amount of options that were there. Lots of veggie and gluten free and also an extensive drink menu. They have breakfast and lunch/dinner options and I almost had a hard time deciding because things sounded tasty! The girl ringing me up was new but very helpful when making my choice and the staff was really supportive of each other. I got the Vodka and added steak. The place was pretty busy but took about 20 minutes for me to get my food. Super yummy pasta alla vodka! And it was a pretty decent sized dish. I wasn't able to finish it but stoked for the leftovers! Gotta come back to actually try some drinks and breakfast items! read more

My friends and I came here last night and were quickly greeted. Kayla, our server took care of us and made good recommendations for food. There are plenty of places to sit upstairs and downstairs. I went with the vodka sauce pasta with chicken. The vodka pasta was yummy and filling. The chicken tasted fresh and juicy paired well with the pasta. The chicken would have been better if there was more seasoning. The prices are affordable at the cafe. They have a good selection of drinks and food. I love the homey atmosphere. We had a great experience here and I'm looking forward to stopping by when I'm in the area. read more

I came here late in the morning for a quick drink. They have sucha large selection of drinks and it was hard for me to decide what I was in the mood for. But I chose something matcha based. This drink had lavender, matcha (of course) and coconut water. A little lighter than your average matcha drink. Not as sweet. I love the way their beverages are served in these cute plastic cans! They also look like they have incredible food. Service was speedy fast. Maybe waited a total of 5 mins if that. This is the first time I come here and aside the couple of plastic bags (trash) at the entrance steps, I really liked it. It's located in an old 2-story house, so the layout is really cozy. There is plenty of seating on the first floor and even more seating on the second floor, with a couch and even some more hidden areas where you can take a lap top and do some work. Honestly, I love this place. The menu has a really nice variety, such as Smoothies, Coffee, Sandwhiches and even Pasta dishes. They also serve various alcoholic beverages. Conveniently, you place your order at the counter and then your food is brought to your table. I had the Meatball Sandwhich, which was really really good. The bread was toasted just enough that it was crunchy to the bite, but never really got soggy even though the meatballs were served with plenty of sauce. The meatballs and sauce were full of flavor...absolutely delicious!! It was also served with a choice of one side, Sweet Potatoes, House Potato, Arugula Salad and House Salad. I had the Sweet Potatoes and really liked that they were boiled and not fried. I also had a Honey Lavender Latte from their Specialty Menu. It was really yummy and not overly sweet. Good Days is a great spot. It's super spacious inside and has a really large food and drink menu with plenty of options. The prices are great too, which makes it an easy place to come back to. Parking can be a little tricky since it's right across from UNR, but it's definitely worth the stop. Overall, a solid place with good vibes, good food, and good prices. read more

So excited to finally get to stop by Good Days Cafe since its grand opening a month ago! The building has a historic feel from the outside, and the inside is bright and open with exposed brick, warm wood floors, and both upstairs and downstairs seating. The upstairs lounge-style area is especially cozy. We ordered the yogurt bowl, the steak and eggs, and a lavender honey latte. The latte was the highlight for me, rich and flavorful. They also use a canning machine for their coffee drinks, which is novel and fun to see in action. The food was mostly good. The yogurt bowl was topped with fresh berries and granola, but the steak was under-seasoned and undercooked, lacking much flavor, which was disappointing. Even so, I would definitely return! The space is great, the menu has a good variety of offerings, the coffee is solid, and it's in a nice little cluster of shops near Insomnia Cookies, Buzzed Coffee, and Reno Roots Kava Bar. I'd be happy to try more of the menu next time we drop in. read more

My husband and I tried Good Days Cafe for lunch the other day after hearing so many great things. The building is a cute older home near UNR that was remodeled to be a restaurant (previously Laughing Planet) offering a variety of indoor and outdoor seating options. I had the iced Honey Lavender Latte and it was amazing and comes in a cute travel can they seal in house once your drink is made. I ordered the Caprese Panini added chicken and had the arugula house salad. The chicken was a little overcooked so a bit dry. My husband ordered the Italian Panini and house salad, his was a bit over toasted for his preference. Both sandwich options were tasted good but nothing special. Definitely a little underwhelming as we were expecting something different. The service was great for it being a bit busy duty lunch. I will be back for the coffee for sure!! read more

Good Days is the quintessential campus spot! Despite not being a college student, this would have been the place I would be all the time back when I was at the University! This old craftsman home turned cafe is beautiful, bright and very cozy. I love the canned coffees & matchas and think it's such a fun & unique presentation method. I loved the honey vanilla latte and my friend loved the strawberry matcha. I got a sandwich and felt like it was a little bland and the salad was pretty much greens with a light dressing, but it wasn't bad. I think next time I would try something else or just stick with a coffee, but all in all it's a great little place and will continue to do well with students! read more

We came here for the pastas since my daughter raved of how amazing it is. She was right, the Pastas are delicious and service was quick. Note that all pasta bowls are just pasta and choice of sauce, proteins can be added to any bowl for an extra charge. Only downside is parking is very limited - only street parking available. Other than that, this is a great place near downtown/UNR to have some pasta. They also serve breakfast, lunch and drinks and have plenty of indoor seating on the first and second floor. read more

Was able to stop into Good Days twice while I was in town. The first visit was 10/10- got the honey lavender latte iced which was pure deliciousness. All iced latte are made in a cute, personalized "Good Days Cafe" plastic can where they then can-it with a lid to order. Unique concept that's sticks out from the rest, something never seen before. So of course had to come back before leaving and bummer to say the second visit- 6/10; the Morning Motijo iced latte (since ran out of cold brew by 10 am) was fine, definitely not up to par with the honey lavender latte flavor. Since no cold brew, they decided to improvise without telling us and made an iced americano, which again was fine but not the same thing. Now what really was a disappointment was the food- the avocado toast was on thin, sliced store bought bread with a smear of avocado and way too much arugula and prosciutto which made it hard to bite into. And lastly, the hash Italian sounded amazing but when getting it, the eggs were very water (the whites not cooked throughly) and very little sausage. Just don't expect exceptional food but for sure worth the stop for the honey lavender latte. read more

I am glad reno has a version of the similar of the mint mojito from Philz coffee! Years back another local bar once had a version of it. I went on a Saturday afternoon which had people coming in and out of the entrance also people sitting at the tables or walking up or down the stairs. I was greeted immediately when I walked in and knew what I wanted. My drink was light and refreshing with a good taste of coffee. Everyone was so friendly and the inside was well lit! I love their coffee in the little to go pop top cans! The banana coffee and the mojito are a nice little switch up to my usual coffee orders around town. Parking can be a little difficult especially on the weekends. read more

My son and I spent the morning here for mom's weekend with his fraternity. Amazing service, especially from Emily up front and Richie who seemed to be everywhere. The food was delicious; beautifully plated and well portioned. The bottomless mimosas were extremely generous, never seen champagne flowing as freely for bottomless drinks. The St.Jude's speciality chai stole the show for me. So unique and fun to drink in their own company bottling. The atmosphere of Good Days is fun and inviting. This new cafe spot near the UNR campus took over the old Laughing Planet location. It's a convenient casual restaurant for college students to go "off campus" for food. Not to mention, I think their food is also very affordable. There's ample seating - long table downstairs, plenty of tables upstairs, outside seating in front of the restaurant, and patio seating. Some students use the space for studying which was cool to see. Overall service was good - the entire staff was friendly. My boyfriend and I ordered the Good Days Burger and a Roasted Balsamic Vegetable Bowl w/ chicken. The burger was yummy - we would order it again. On the other hand, I wouldn't order the bowl again (nothing too special about it). We also ordered an iced strawberry matcha and mixed berry smoothie. Smoothie was good. The iced strawberry matcha came in "soda" topped container which was pretty cool, no other cafe in town does that. I don't like when my matcha runs too sweet and their matcha itself is not sweet which I was happy about. For all my matcha connoisseurs, I will say that they don't make their matcha "fresh" meaning they don't whisk the matcha to order, they use pre-made matcha from a bottle. read more

1. Walking in to few customers even during lunch time. 2. Prices were high and I guess I expected a grilled cheese on sourdough to be a little hefty for 14.99. It was the size of my hand. I have small hands. 3. The menu said a side of potatoes, and literally that's what it was, diced sweet potatoes (for $2 more). Not fried, great! Not sauteed in a flavorful sauce, or even spices except a bit of pepper. Bland and boring. While my sandwich did have a good taste, it was smaller than a regular kids size sandwich. My green iced tea took time to make? Odd experience, two people working there and they were very involved talking with each other. I miss laughing planet's cookies and good food. I am not impressed with the prices, or food and won't be back. read more

The breakfast sando was great, but the breakfast burrito was a little plain, and I'm pretty sure the salsa that came with it was just Pace Picante brand salsa. read more

Update on the matcha: They are using better matcha now! My favorite is the mango one as the other ones are a little too sweet. I prefer the matcha taste over the sweeter matcha drinks, but I know everyone has their preference. read more

The ambiance is great here, good taste in music and there always at least one other group of people here. The restaurant is homey on the inside and never to loud. The food is great and is in large portions compared to how much you have to pay. The service is great and all of the employees have been super kind. The food comes out quick and always tastes great. I did end up having to pay an additional dollar for oat milk, I thought it was .50 cents for alternative milk but what ever. The service was amazing. Everyone was super friendly, attentive, and made the experience feel really positive. The overall vibe of the place is comforting, laid-back, and chill, which I really loved. And it was served in a can, which they make and can it for you right then and there! A very impressive and unique touch. My husband ordered a regular latte and did not receive it in a can.
