This place has a special sandwich has a special sandwich for everyone, I'll have one of everything. Unique ingredients, creative sandies. Did I mention they have lobster sliders? We just went to 5 south main for the first time and we were blown away. This place is adorable and so wholesome and hearty. It's a little English sunshine lit sandie shop with love baked into every nook and cranny. And there are a lot of nooks in this little large windowed haven to steal away in. We were waited on by Mary who was a joy and a pleasure to converse with. She was extremely friendly and easy to talk to and made us feel at home. The service here is excellent. I was even able to meet the chef to give him compliments. Most importantly, the food was on another level good. The sandwiches are perfectly constructed and melted together with all of the right melty ingredients that make them perfect handhelds. The ingredients are generously portioned and fresh. Flavor and creativity are clearly priorities here. The food is reasonable priced as the portions are huge. The pickles may be my favorite. Needless to say, we'll be back for some of their hearty, healthy, delicious soup and sandwiches to complement, love this place so much.

I have walked/driven past this spot so many times on the way to French Memories. If I wanted something for breakfast or lunch in Cohasset center, I had always felt that FM would get the job done; and it did. Plus I had this feeling that 5 South was just another one of their mediocre spots that can overcharge in a rich town. A restaurant like that just relied on its cutesy look to get you in the door and the food was just pedestrian. However, I wanted something different one day and decided to go against instincts. Probably a wrong decision... I came for lunch and service seemed somewhat cluster you-know-what. It took a while for a waitress to get to me, and yet the staff wasn't totally overwhelmed. There were a couple of clean small tables yet the waitress decided to make me wait for an unclean table to be cleared up and have me sit at that just cleared table. Puzzling. I ordered the Three Layer Turkey Club, and while I did get a pretty sizable sandwich, the picture on the restaurant's website is greatly exaggerated. You do get a lot of turkey and nominal amount of bacon. To the sandwich's "credit", the roof of my mouth was getting a good scratching from toasted bread and struggling to fit the sandwich into my mouth. However, size aside, the sandwich wasn't spectacular and was merely passable. The price point and lack of sides disappointed the most. For $9, you only get the sandwich. You won't get potato chips, salad, or anything on the side. All you get is a paltry slice of orange. I don't even recall having a refill on water. The floor of the restaurant was pretty atrocious, as I could see food and dust collecting around me. If you need lunch in Cohasset center, just go to French Memories instead.

The food was very good, quality was top notch. The service was a little lack luster. It was a busy Saturday morning so it's understandable, but 3 wait staff looked at us and did not greet us or say anything. We felt uncomfortable waiting to be seated for about 5 minutes without greeting. Could be brought up quite a few notches by friendly service, removing the high chairs from touching the tables and moving to the back, and adding some interesting decor on the walls. Food is fantastic, we are full and happy.

A charming little restaurant with a killer lobster roll! Wish they still served breakfast but whatever they have or do is first class.

The ham, cheese, and jam was an amazing savory and sweet combo. The buttered toast was perfection. I was also a big fan of the Coleman breakfast sandwich. The apple paired nicely with the onions. Add in a well seasoned sausage patty along with a gooey egg and one of the best toasted English muffins ever and you hit breakfast sandwich bliss. The atmosphere is very laid back with a large counter that faces an open kitchen for a true diner experience. The tie dye shirts, cat decor, and mix of bluegrass and Grateful Dead music brings the hippie vibes that makes it more interesting than your typical diner. Highly recommend!

So we did, walking into the place, this was in mid July and we in the area were going through a heat wave, the air-conditioning was not there, in fact, we were the only customers, I was thinking about leaving, it was border-line sticky, I decided to "stick" it out, I am so glad I did, the food is so good, I ordered two eggs over, sausage, potatoes, fries and an English. The chef there came in with some homemade strawberry jam, so good, and then the breakfast which, I am telling you is better than greasy Toast, First Watch in Hanover- nothing there, and Stevie G's in Cohasset. If you are ever on 3A in Cohasset check these people out.

My husband and I came in on a Friday night to check the place out... We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a mushroom & onion. While the pizza was good/decent, it was NOT the same pizza as off the truck!! Something about it tasted "off" in comparison to the truck pizza. But it was still delicious in comparison to your average pizza shop pizza. Overall food was very good and nice presentation, and I recommend, and I would go back, however service very slow but again friendly waitstaff and hostess. I took 1 star off due to slow service.

Hooper's Judge, I judge NOT!…read more Does anyone care about food and guests anymore? Service? Experiences? Well, our first time here at Hooper's Judge was such a disppointment, and here's why! To start - Hooper's Judge is a newer establishment in Cohasset about 20 minutes from Derby Street Hingham. I was craving decent seafood to start off my birthday week and have been wanting to try this place. Street parking is not that bad and we were able to score a table without reservations on a Sunday evening which normallly never happens. Upon walking in the young hostess brought us to the sun drenched table which at first I was like "at least we have a table." After a few minutes gone by our server came over and asked what we wanted to drink? Mind you I asked her about a few of their wines and she had no idea of what they were. So she brought me a sample and I went with the California Rose and my husband had a cocktail. Also, the owner/manager who was drinking wine at the bar with her friends moved our table since the sun was beating down on us and it was very uncomfortable. First off I see so many warning signs with the owner drinking her wine at the bar------NO Manager or Owner should ever be drinking on the job PERIOD! I know its brand new, but you should have a shade or something to block out to sun for guests because we were not the only ones complaining. In the middle - After awhile went by we ordered their Shredded Ceaser Salad to split. What was nice is they brought 2 separate plates over but not enough dressing and we never saw our server again to ask for more. Service I will say was not the best, but I feel like she was the only server to attend to all the tables. The End - Our dishes arrived and my Salmon was overcooked (btw I did order at first the Swordfish but seconds later my server came over saying it was sold out). She took my dish back, apologized and then a few minutes or so later MY SAME DISH CAME BACK with a different perfectly cooked Salmon. Know how I know? One of the Asparagus was missing and half of it was still on my plate___GROSS. Isn't this a food violation? That is so gross and if the Manager/Owner wasn't drinking (on the job) her wine she would know what was happening in her kitchen and on the floor and she would care what the outcome was but I guess NOT. You should be a shame or yourselves to serve food like this. The Manager did come over and apologize but that wasn't good enough. As a newly opened restaurant in the heart of a wealthy town Cohasset this shouldn't have happened and I will never be back...Ever. And, maybe you should think twice of coming here! What has happened with restaurants? Doesn't anyone care of food and guests anymore? I am sad that this happened to us and I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else. I would go elsewhere if you can and hope that after this review things will change!
