Well, actually, I found it by a Google search when I got fed up with a computer function that had frustrated me for over a year. I knew that I didn't want to wait in line or wait days for the help I needed, and I knew I didn't want anyone to come to my home. I knew I didn't want to leave my computer anywhere--I have work to do! Night before last I found GenTech on Google. I was able to make an online appointment for the next day at a convenient time. My assigned technician (Title?) was ready when I arrived at the clean, modern, and easy-to-find location. The problem I had was, as I already knew, very complicated. Thirty (30) minutes later my problem, plus several I didn't even know I had, was solved! My only regret was that I had spent hours upon hours trying to fix the problem by myself. My laptop had developed serious problems - the battery had begun to swell, the case was warped and I was faced with the possibility of losing all my data. The Geek Squad had warned me that they probably would not be able to bring it back to life and I should be prepared to invest in a new laptop. Jay explained that the HP Envy I had was better constructed than newer models. He thought replacing the battery and the hard drive would solve my problems. On Sunday he called and said both the battery and the hard drive were in, the data was being transferred and I could pick up the laptop on Monday. It looked like a new machine.
