The cut was good but the product used to style made my curls too heavy to coil. The washbasin was broken and wouldn't drain, so when she washed my hair the water dripped halfway down my back and stuck to my clothes. I really don't think it's her fault- she was just doing the best she could with the resources she had available (practice, time, tools) but I paid 30 bucks for months of embarrassment. I knew her for a few years before booking an appointment. However, despite this, my last experience with her a few years ago was quite unpleasant and it has really bothered me since. I was truly humiliated that particular day by the situation that arose, which wasn't my fault and was completely out of my control. Sadly, she chose to berate and humiliate me even further when I tried to make another appointment with her. Neither party involved meant to put in question her talents as a colorist and stylist, as she just assumed. With that being said, I do wish her the best of luck.

I left the salon with my natural black/dark brown hair all bleached from mid-bottom. I'm not a master colorist but I'm sure that this isn't what a bayalage looked like. 4 months later, I give the same person another try saying I wanted to keep the Bayalage but go lighter for spring, knowing that very dark hair needs a traditional period to get to a honey blonde color. Again I leave the salon with ALL of my hair bleached... there's no other color for depth or anything. At a loss I just let my hair grow out for probably a year before I found Elissa (loft #21), who gave me exactly what I wanted and needed. I finally have my hair color to fit my Fall/winter mood until next Spring. She listens to your wants and has the skills to give you what you expect for hair goals. Her loft is also decorated with all the charm you'd want to see so you can get into your "hair spa" mood. I am only sad that I now have to move out of state, after finding a great colorist/stylist.
