Crystal has a great way of positively explaining and teaching. I am now very comfortable that I will be able to enjoy going to a 500 person waltz event and dancing. I would highly recommend Follow my lead if you want to learn how to dance. We are planning on continuing our lessons even after the event we are going to and learning more dances besides the waltz.

We danced from eight till midnight to wonderful tango music. It was great for both beginners and the more experienced Argentine tango dancers. If you've never tried Argentine tango, you might want to check out Follow my lead studio where they have Tuesday night classes as well as private lessons, but, back to the event. There was wonderful music played throughout the evening and lots of fun visiting with friends and newcomers. The center was gorgeous with soft candle lighting around making it very romantic and beautiful. We also had a lovely snack table with special bread, oil and vinegar, delicious fancy chocolates, Dried fruit, special candies, and other yummy treats. And then to top It off, we had a professional performance of three incredible Argentine tango dances, right before our eyes. It was so stunning! And inspiring to a new dancer, such as myself. Again I can't emphasize how wonderful an evening this was whether you were just watching and visiting or actually dancing as I did. I can't wait for the next event! We moved from Portland and I belonged to a Bar studio there, which I loved. Haven't done anything since, except try to do yoga videos on Amazon (it's not the same as going to a class, mostly because I have a hard time keeping myself focused and motivated). I attended my second class at YogaJoy today (PiYo with Kimmie) and it rocked. Kimmie is such a fantastic, enthusiastic, and helpful instructor (I also took her Buti Yoga class last week - such a fun class!). The other students in the class were super nice, too, as well as everyone else working at the studio (I like nice people - I am immediately turned off by anyone snobbish, which has not been the case here). The location of this studio works for me (there's literally nothing else closer except maybe a gym in Deer Park). Also - they offer childcare. What?! That's amazing. (I have a 2 and a 4 year old.) SCAMMERS! My friend and I both booked for the April 11th class. We received a confirmation email…read moreafter paying. A day before the class, we received a text confirming the class date and time. We showed up about 20 minutes early. The storefront has a piece of paper on it saying to enter through the back. We walked into the alley and the door was locked so we knocked. NO ANSWER at all during the entire time we were there. We kept knocking. We called and left a voicemail. I tried texting. We sent an email. We went to the store next door and asked if they knew what was going on with this business and they said they had no idea. We stayed around for a while, banging on the front and back doors. NO RESPONSE so we had no choice but to leave. When we got home, we called and still no answer. I'll be disputing the charge with my bank AND reporting this "business."

She did an amazing job of explaining the type of yoga, the process, what the expectations and reality are, making me feel safe in my environment. My daughter came home feeling bad about herself and asking to quit after just two months of dance. If a dance instructor has an issue with a child's abilities, the policy should be to take it up directly with a parent. They have no right telling a child they aren't good at dance! They shouldn't be allowed to interact with children until they get further training, as I consider this to be detrimental to a child's development. Update: I took my concerns directly to the teacher, and there was zero follow through or help with repairing this issue. I never heard from the owner, so I can only assume she doesn't care about the health and well being of children at her studio. It is in your child's best interest to find a safer place to dance.
