I went here about two weeks ago, so this is a delayed review. I'm giving this place five stars because they were so helpful. I believe the woman's name was Lori and the man's name is Paul. I came in to sell some old silver and gold jewelry (mostly mismatched items and old chains). But I didn't budget really any time for this walk in. I had another appointment to get to so I was really rushed and didn't even know if they could help me. I figured I could always come back later, but I wanted to get an estimate before leaving. They were really kind, Lori started sorting through what I had and Paul came out from the back to help sort through it all in order to get me out of there as soon as possible. They offered me a price to which I agreed to and cut me a check on the spot. I feel they gave me a fair price for what I had, but I'm not someone who sells jewelry so I'm not an expert. They seemed legit, and very eager to help me. If I need to sell anything again I'll go to them and I'd definitely recommend. I didn't know where to park, so I just parked in back, but they told me that next time I could park in their parking on the side, if you're looking at the building, it looks like a little alley to the left of the business, they said that customers could park there. I'd recommend to anyone who needs extra money and wants to get rid of old jewelry. read more

Easy breezy! I had two (heavy) boxes of silverware and some old gold rings that I've moved with at least five times, vowing each time that I'd find a place to sell it all. Hi my name is Victoria and I've been on a search for states quarters to gift for my dad for Fathers Day since it's what we used to do when I was a kid. I came to this place hoping I could exchange my other quarters for the ones I needed. Unfortunately, they couldn't exchange my states quarters since they didn't have any, but what they did have was a book filled with all the states quarters except one, Washington, which is what I really wanted for my dad. I gave them the cash for the book and I can honestly say it was thee perfect exchange. This place is like a money museum! I went in to unload some old silver dollars and mint sets and was blown away by what was in the display cases. There were these neat oversized dollars. Wonder what those are from? Lots of super jewelry, too, which you know is all the more unique because it once represented someone's life. Anyway I tried to do some research on the value of my coins so I wouldn't seem like a total naive idiot and the gal gave me a great price in cash. These people are incredible. Been there 3 times the past month, but not before going to SM Gold and Silver on Ventura first. Both have good reviews, so I tried both. First time was silverware. $700 offer at SM-$910 at Coin Connection. Second time I was offered $270 for mercury dimes at SM. 30 minutes later I was offered nearly $500 at Coin Connection. They are incredibly fair and you end up getting more money than if you were to Ebay after Ebay fees. Will truly come here from now on. The guy at SM is nice, but offers were incredibly low. The people at Coin Connection are really friendly and offers were the most fair of the 5 places I tried out here. read more

I have been to many coin shops/gold and silver shops in the LA area and some are ok, but most are just a bunch of mean old men trying to make money off innocent customers. This is not the case with Coin Connection. I went in to buy 3 bullion silver coins that would have cost me at least $2 more bucks or more at continental coin. Paul is a really cool guy who makes you feel at ease, where most of the other shops I have visited want you in and out and could care less. Down to earth, honest and helpful! I couldn't be happier with my experience with Coin Connection. I went in to see what they would offer for some gold jewelry and a .9 carat diamond engagement ring. I felt really comfortable with the way Paul and Laurie inspected my items and explained their offer, but that first day I was on a fact finding mission and not ready to sell. When I went back a week later I was a little worried that their price would change, but Paul made me exactly the same offer he had before.
