My husband always takes his Hondas here and is happy with the service. I usually take my Acura to…read morethe dealership, but I only needed an oil change and a few little things checked and this is closer for me. I dropped my key off the night before. They called me around 11 the next day to tell me what they did. Joe asked me some more questions about me about the issues I was having and explained in detail what they checked for and found. I was able to pay over the phone so I could pick it up after hours. They left my key under the mat with the bill. I was very happy with the service and liked that he took the time to explain things to me. The prices were also very reasonable.

I know that people can double pricing, but i really wasnt expecting those high prices. the labor and balance of services sounded fair. but the pricing mark up really rubbed me the wrong way. the big kicker was i took the car in because it wasnt starting all the time. i had some work done on it including a fuel pressure something or nother, vaccum hose and a sensor. they test drove the car, everything, ran well. happy camper. two weeks later my car didnt want to start. i asked the mechanic if they can look at it again (for no charge) to see if it was related to the work they did (and obviously i knew this could be a new problem, because i have an older car). the mechanic brought up my paper work and said that they had done x, y and z on the car, didnt mention the fuel pressure. and said that what was happening to my car was that it wasnt getting fuel or didnt have a spark. but they did not offer to take it in and look at it, saying that it would've been a different problem. when i mentioned the fuel pressure thing, they said 'oh, well we did those things not because they were causing the car to stall (originally) but because they were the only things that stood out as need of major repair.' I was disappointed because i wasnt asking them to fix the possibly new issue, but i felt like they were being shady. and then i asked (to gage the situation) what it would cost to get my car's oil changed. they said (paper work in front of them) that depending on my car's filter it could be $50. i got my oil changed a more local mechanic's for $30. i guess i couldnt help but feel that... they werent being upfront and honest with me. when i told my friend that recommended them, she said that they should've at least looked at the car again. that would be the professional thing to do. having this single experience with them, i would not go back again nor would i recommend the place. I would like to have more experiences to judge them on, but i dont want to risk spending more money or having more related issues with my car. :oP

Charlton messaged me back within 15 minutes. I explained that my throttle dashboard light came on, and Charlton said I might need the $70.00 diagnostic test to turn it off and determine the throttle problem. Charlton also asked me about the size of my engine. I scheduled an appointment and canceled it because the throttle light went out. Perhaps it was the below-freezing temperature and my attempt to drive my vehicle without sufficiently warming it up that prompted the throttle light to come on, I will definitely contact C & A when my vehicle does need servicing. I appreciated the messaging that helped me determine what my vehicle needed. What's valuable? The excellent customer service in fielding my throttle concerns is worth noting.

This is my first time using Yelp and was so stressed because my regular mechanic is my friend and he was on vacation when the brakes went out. I felt so much better when I found people who would help me . Special thanks to Charlton at C&A Automotive for making me feel at ease and gave me a great deal . It turned out to be the brake job from hell because of the poor workmanship of the last owner . An hour project turned into a 3 and a half hour nightmare. Charlton worked his ass off and kept a good attitude . We're both talkers and that helped our mental health. Lol I can't recommend to highly. You need a car repair done he's the man to get.

The car was registered with the apartment complex and was parked in an appropriate spot there. This tow company is run by scammers. They tow your car, and then do not allow you to pick it up for two days and charge you for the two days that they are not open and that you physically cannot even pick your car up if you want to. And they absolutely did not verify with the apartment complex regarding this, because nobody was working at the apartment complex at those hours. And if they had, they would've found out that the vehicle was registered and was parked appropriately. Mars towing should be ashamed of themselves, horrible business, and horrible way to do business.

It's one thing to make a mistake. It's another to double down and hold someone's car hostage when they know they're in the wrong. The level of unprofessionalism, indifference, and flat-out lack of basic customer service is astounding. Towing companies already have a reputation, and this place lives up to every single stereotype -- predatory, disorganized, and completely unconcerned about the people they inconvenience.

I would not recommend this place for regular auto service. They might be good with transmission,…read morebut I doubt that they would be good at that either. Their mechanic can not even check the compression of a cylinder correctly....they "checked" 3 cylinders and were wrong on all three. Way off. They then refused to service my pickup because they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, but were willing to charge me even though it was their mistake. The other place figured it out in less than an hour and had me on the road in 3 hours, even without an appointment!. Emory had the truck for 5 days and also charged me $362.48 and didn't fix anything! Then when the "regional manager" says to call him, he doesn't answer his phone and his vmail is full so you basically get hung up on. What a way to run a business. Do yourself a favor and go some place else.

I had a terrible experience with Emory, and I feel completely let down…read more About two months ago, I was told I needed a new transmission. A friend who owns a garage recommended Emory, so I took my car there. They replaced the transmission for $7,500. Roughly a month later, while driving home from work, my power steering suddenly locked up right after getting off the highway. I had to pull over on a secluded road and wait 90 minutes for a tow truck. The car was towed to a nearby dealership for inspection. A couple of days later, the dealership called and asked if my transmission had recently been replaced. They informed me that the power steering line had not been secured when the subframe was reinstalled--which caused all the fluid to leak out. This led to a $258 repair. I obtained photos and the damaged part from the dealership and reached out to Emory. The owner was polite but denied responsibility, claiming they had worked on a different part of the engine. However, he asked me to come by so we could look at it together. When I mentioned that the dealership had confirmed the subframe must be removed to replace the transmission, his tone and body language changed. He called over a technician, who said he couldn't remember the specific car. After a pause, the owner offered to "split it" with me. At that point, I agreed, just wanting to be done with the whole situation after multiple trips and phone calls. He said he'd mail a check in a week since he didn't have the money on hand. Two weeks and four follow-up calls later, he told me I'd have to come pick it up in person. By then, I felt completely taken advantage of. I had simply asked for Emory to take full responsibility and cover the $258 repair--I never asked for compensation for the time I spent stranded or all the follow-ups I had to make. His final response to me was, "I'm sorry you feel that way." So in the end, Emory only covered half the cost of a mistake that was clearly theirs. I lost $128, 90 minutes on the side of the road, and several hours of my time chasing answers. I know Emory has a good reputation, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend them. I've already told my friend to stop referring anyone to this shop.
