10/10! Everything bagel breakfast sandwich which
    Michelle W.

This is the second time I've visited Portland and had the pleasure of eating at CoKiea's Kitchen! I specifically went to The Heist where she's located to eat! Once again, the food did not disappoint. I had the chicken and waffles which are oyster mushrooms fried to perfection and seasoned oh so well! And I also got an everything bagel breakfast sandwich which I almost bit my hand eating . I truly wish I'd gotten two of these! The service is amazing and it's always on point. Ms. CoKiea has always been there each time I've gone and I appreciate that. You can tell she takes pride in the food she makes and the service she provides. Being a vegan, I appreciate that she serves good well seasoned food. Do yourself a favor and check her out. I'll definitely be back!

One of the best tasting spots for vegan food! I want to try the whole menu. Service is so nice and always friendly. I got the vegan lasagna once and was blown away by how delicious it was. Mouth watering! Another time I got a breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. I can't wait to come back, they really do it right. 5 stars all around.

I've found my favorite food in Portland. I've recently revisited the vegan diet and have been cooking at home but am tired of cooking so I looked up some vegan food spots and this was my first choice to try. I got my mind blown as well as my tastebuds. I had the pleasure to chat with Cokiea while she was preparing my food. She is incredibly passionate about her cooking and it definitely shows. I got takeout and was so excited as the garlic bread was smelling DELICIOUS on my drive home! I wanted comfort food and comfort is what I got! I will definitely be returning regularly! This was the best tasting meal I have had in a very long time. I think it's maybe the best lasagna I've ever had.

Food was tasty, doesn't taste vegan, the flavors were well layered and thought out. I did end up having to wait an extra 10-15 minutes on top of the probably 15-20 minutes for her to make my meal, while she processed handing out three orders ahead of me just to place my order. I was going to give up on the line but none of the other food carts sounded satisfactory that day. Glad I waited but not sure I would do it again.

Amazing food! I ordered the small gumbo and a side of potato salad. The gumbo was packed with flavor. I thought I would miss the meat but the cauliflower and beans made up for it! The homemade (no cornmeal) fried okra was great and added crunch. The potato salad was delicious and refreshing. Thank you for the great meal for my meatless Monday.

My pictures do not do this food justice. Everything taste fresh and flavorful. She is cooking it up right in front of you, chopping tomatoes and cutting avocados right there. The portions are ridiculously generous we fed six on three plates. Cokiea is personable and down to earth. Nothing but good vibes and great food. I have to try to stay away.

The one time I came here I had the burger and the peach cobbler, both were delicious! If she can make a regular beyond burger take like that I know her own cooked meals are delicious. I intend to come back to try her more homemade dishes as I'm sure those are jumping. Thank you Cokiea for the mission you're doing in Portland, keep rocking queen! I also really enjoyed talking to her and getting to know her, it made the ambiance all the better.

Soul Bowl (and a friend's plantain she wanted me to taste!)

Soul Bowl with jackfruit. A must have. Rich flavor, crispy seasoned jackfruit, packed with tangy greens and creamy beans, soft Mac noodles. Southern deliciousness and not greasy. Dairy not missed at all! This is gooooood food.

I can't say enough great things about this gem! The flavors are done in such an incredible way complementing each other so effectively. We eat here often and will continue to support this amazing cart. The food is really outstanding! Every meal we had was full of flavor and cooked to perfection The menu is very good and lots of options with something for everyone. This food is delicious, flavorful, and cooked to perfection! Best soul food in Portland reminds us of Vegan Mob in Oakland California.

Decided to stop in because I saw great reviews and was looking for good filling vegetarian food. AMAZING. Hands down the best vegetarian food I've ever eaten, if not some of the best food in general I've ever eaten. Prices are so incredibly fair, everything was made to order with organic ingredients and by the food cart owner herself. If you want delicious, hearty soul food you must come here and try it. Even my non vegetarian boyfriend said he wished he didn't get a burger from another cart and got food from her instead.

Lasagna and garden salad. It came out so hot it slid into the container. It's a good sized helping.

I came after a review I read on Eater for FoPo area eats. I'm not a huge fried food fan but this place was good. I got the Steelhead trout fish and chips. Wait was ok they give you a buzzer so you can stroll around the food court. Took about 10 mins not bad. The locally sourced steelhead was a delicious surprise. Tender, juicy fish with crispy breading. Good seasoning. Fries were thicker so not as crispy but still hearty. 3 medium sized pieces of fish. They included ketchup for the fries as well as malt vinegar and tartar sauce for authentic fish dip. Wedge of lemon, too! All in a earth-friendly cardboard box. They take credit just fine. Very convenient location at Carts on Foster just down the street from where I was staying. So I walked back and enjoyed there. If you're staying you could probably cruise over to any local breweries or the bar cart for a beer to complement the fried food. Good time!!!

Teen wanted boba, and we decided to order Mediterranean from this place which also strangely sells boba. Yes, I rewarded the chore avoidance. Sue me. I worked four tens, all week my mental health clients were stressed and distressed, and I was honestly a lump. We both ordered a Moroccan stewed chicken that comes with saffron rice, salad, and three spicy sauces - one yogurt and maybe sumac? , one sriracha, and one yogurt mixed with sriracha maybe? We liked the rice, chicken, salad, and the yogurt sauce. Just ok though. Not omg good. I wish the two other sauces had been in separate containers and not on the rice. My mint and honey tea was fine. Kid's boba was not full. Not because it spilled either, because it was sealed with the boba seal lid thingy. For $6 that was disappointing. The hummus and dolmades plate came with one sad not good pita, ONE, and I think our Uber eats driver flung it out the window like kids used to deliver newspapers from their bikes because yogurt sauce was freaking everywhere. The hummus was not great. Teen ( the dolmades fan) said the grape leaves were good. Probably not a repeat in store. One and done.
