Popped into Colchuck's for appetizers and a drink before the theater. It was pretty busy with limited seating available on a Saturday evening at 6:30. The restaurant and bar are up a flight of stairs. There are tables and bar style seating outside as well as inside. Service was quick and good. Our appetizers arrived before our drinks as the bartender was pretty busy. The deviled eggs were creamy and tangy with a sauce on top, we think is was a sour cream, they were good. The truffle fries were plentiful, with Parmesan cheese on top, these hit the spot! Lastly were the crispy brussel sprouts, topped with a balsamic glaze and shaved Parmesan, these were very good as well. This was a great filler before our show. For a meal or a bite, I would stop here again.

First off, kudos to the server, she was fantastic. I wish I got her name. We were kind of a large party so I feel like we ordered almost one of everything. The cocktails and food were delicious however all the kids refused to eat because they said the chicken strips were really gross. Undercooked and kind of soggy. Otherwise, I would have given five stars. I will still eat here every time I come to Leavenworth.

All of the food was absolutely delicious. I can't believe the rating for this restaurant is so low. We almost didn't come because of it but so glad we did. The portions were huge and everything was seasoned perfectly. The service was great. And weather was incredible so we sat on the balcony patio. Perfect for seeing all the shops and art down below and the mountains in the background. If I lived nearby I'd come back for sure. Check this restaurant out if you're in Leavenworth! So so yummy. And such a cute town

Visited here shortly after Christmas, Leavenworth, WA is a must see around the holidays. The lights and decorations are exceptional. After checking out the town we decided to get something for dinner. We settled on Colchuck's and boy we were not disappointed. The beer selection was excellent and the German food was delicious. Our waitress and the staff were friendly and very thoughtful. The service overall was great. This is definitely a must return for us in the future!

Very friendly service and the best schnitzel I had in this town! Solid portions and the drinks were lovely too.

Tldr: this place is a hidden gem for a great view to watch the street and the park across. Tables ar wonky for groups of 4. Happy hour sweetened the deal. Must order the fries and the pretzel bites! Ambience: cozy bar vibes lots of seating and a great view of the main street with the park, make sure you ask for the tables facing the street. These tables look like they only start 4 Service: was really good, was asking about which bears taste what and she was very helpful. Also checked on us before happy hour last call. Food: really good!! We were only here to snack, but I loved both the fries and the pretzels, the pretzel dips were really good too. If u made me choose which to order next time, my answer is both.

Food: decent! I really enjoyed the sausage platter (2 sausages + spaetzle) and the jaegerschnitzel. The German dishes were a lot better than the sandwiches (I.e., burger / sandwiches) Service: great! My family came without a reservation and was soo hungry. They were able to accommodate our despite being fully booked out with reservations. The staff was extremely sweet! Ambiance: so cozy

This is a hidden gem hiding right on Front street. The happy hour is excellent: $5 off cocktails, pitchers, glasses of wine and appetizers. From 3:30 to 5 I believe. The inside is slightly upscale without being pretentious. I was in shorts and a T-shirt during a hot summer day, but would also come here on a birthday or anniversary. Also, kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entree from 12-3pm, so there are great deals to be had here. The service was also friendly and attentive.

We get up the stairs and are greeted and offered to pick a table. We grab a good window seat up here on the top floor. Service is immediate, friendly and helpful. Jägerschnitzel is very flavorful and breaded well. The portobello mushrooms and pickled shallots are a perfect accompaniment for that delicious flavor profile. The gravy is exceptionally well done. We also have a side of the Smashed Rosemary Spring potatoes... they are a good addition to the schnitzel. The potatoes appear to be a yellow potato variety and have a unique flavor. They are seasoned, they are cooked well and lightly smashed then baked. They are buttery delicious and as a side dish, the portions are generous enough to be an entree themselves. The Spätzle is very cheesy and has a sweetness from the onions, another delicious side. The portions here are generous and you will not leave hungry. 5 Star for Service and Quality of food

    Weiner Snitzel

Wow! What a fresh take on weiner schnitzel! It was veal with a delicious lemon caper sauce! Felt like a modern take on a classic German dish. A must try!

I finally made it to Leavenworth this past weekend and after browsing a ton of menus, I landed on Colchuck's and I'm so glad I did! The restaurant is located on Front Street which was within walking distance from where we were staying, ultimately making it an easy, convenient, and relaxed choice for dinner. We arrived around 6:30pm on a Sunday evening and were seated right away, which was a pleasant surprise. I later realized they have a popular happy hour that ends before then...note to self for next time!! Despite missing that, the experience was still great! Our server, Danielle F., was friendly, attentive, and clearly knowledgeable about the menu and even the surrounding area despite only recently moving to the PNW. She made some great suggestions and checked on us frequently without being overbearing. I started with the Pretzel Bites, which I expected would come out as an appetizer/starter, but they were delivered alongside our entrees. Not a dealbreaker, just something to note for those hoping to space out their meal. For my entree, I ordered the Weinerschnitzel and it was fantastic. The veal was incredibly tender and the combination of brown butter, arugula, lemon citronette, shaved parmesan, and capers added the perfect contrast of richness and brightness. Every bite was incredibly balanced and flavorful. The sage spaetzle served on the side was another highlight and I certainly could've eaten an entire bowl of it on its own! The ambiance was cozy and slightly dimmed, perfect for a chill dinner with friends or a more intimate date night. Prices felt fine for the quality, portion sizes, and location. My only disappointment was that they had already sold out of oysters by the time we arrived. I was really looking forward to trying them but I guess that just means I'll have to come back earlier next time! Overall, Colchuck's was a memorable part of our Leavenworth trip and I'd absolutely return - especially for the schnitzel and spaetzle combo and of course to try the oysters!

In Leavenworth for the weekend with a group of friends who possessed a diverse pallet. We chose this restaurant at the recommendation of an individual working in a local wine tasting room and one of our travelers wanted German food. One member of our group is vegan and the menu's entrees possessed limited vegetarian options, salad or grill cheese. Our server was outstanding! He had to managed 5 different checks at our table. We started out with ordering drinks and upon arrival our main dishes. We were there for dinner, it was not busy, low season. The restaurant is on the second floor of a Main Street building. It is modern and airy. Our table was in an alcove with windows on one side, our view was a hotel. I ordered the seasonal vegetable salad, no protein added- vegetarian! I ate the whole thing! It was good. I believe the roasted vegetable was sweet potato. My friend ordered a side of Brussel sprouts, they were wonderful! I added them to my salad, very nice addition! The brussel sprouts tasted sweet like they were drizzled with honey, they were cooked perfectly! Two friends ordered a German dishes, one cleaned his plate and the other ordered a sausage dish, more than she could eat but delicious. Another friend ordered a brat paddy sandwich, delicious! All and all we were satisfied with our experience! Worth visiting! I love the option of the QR code on the receipt to make payment, wish all restaurants used this option.

Had bratloaf it was very good. No wait nice place. Service was fast and attentive. No idea how this place isn't rated higher. Seems like all the food in this town is amazing but people rate it low for some reason.

Since we had to make the almost 6 hour trek home the next day, we went for an early dinner and were the first party in. Service was kind and quick! Everyone was super friendly. Only thing is with it being just freshly opened for the day, it felt a bit like we were intruding on the staffs prep time - no one made us feel that way there was just a lot of work and chatter going on. I assume with the name Mozart usually there's some form of music (I would assume classical) that maybe just hadn't been turned on yet. But no bother. Food was fantastic. The fondue is not to be missed - the sausage and broccolini were clear standouts with this dish. I got the hunters schnitzel which was great but my husband got the Käsespätzle which is one of the absolute best things I have eaten out in a really long time. Like an oniony cheesy spatzle Mac and cheese. YUM. Should we be back in the area, we would go back again for sure!

The cabbage is kind of sweet sour which was a nice balance to the savory umami of the mushroom sauce with the cutlet. I tried a bit of the beef goulash and it had good flavor as well but too salty to eat any more than a bite. I'd come back for the schnitzels though!! I'd say I liked it better than Andreas Keller which is a super popular schnitzel restaurant just downstairs from this restaurant. Plus, we didn't have to wait long! The ambiance of this restaurant was nice. There was live music! The place is quite small though so the seating is kind of crowded and a little odd. Our server was a little awkward too and the food took a while to come out. Another con is this place was quite pricey, but expected.

I decided to order a board as an appetizer with 2 meats, 2 cheeses, and a side. Huge happy dance with this one, the honey ricotta was amazing, deviled eggs huge smiles, burrata was perfect, salami and prosciutto beautiful. On this day they had two specials butternut squash ravioli and a sea bass. We chose the ravioli with added chicken, it had a good taste however did not compete with the other dishes (still did a happy dance with each bite). There is a kids menu, we had the fettuccine with chicken, good side for kids. They also have shrimp or just cheese fettuccine, pizza, and lasagna. Our main courses we had the eggplant parm, perfectly cooked with a side caprese salad. Mushroom and chicken fettuccine amazing flavors and a good portion. For desert we had the apple bread pudding, to die for, a cookie pie and chocolate mouse type dessert (I forgot their names), all very good. Highly recommend this place and as a family was listed #1 out of 5 places eaten here in Leavenworth.
