We shared a small basket of Deep Fried Mushrooms w Ranch Dressing, Small Pepperoni Pizza and 6 Hot Grilled Wings with Blue Cheese and Ranch sauce. I had unsweetened tea With lemon And lime and Tony has PBR on draft. The food was good not great! The Grilled Wings were really good and saucey but the burnt marks tasted like Gas from the grill...not a great taste but do-able! I know, I know. I'm a vegetarian rating a wing place. I know how this must look. But I am super flexible on where I eat when options are limited, knowing that I can find something veggie, anywhere. I was pleased to see they had salad options so I was going with that. So, let's talk about the "waitress". I put it in quotes because I doubt she had any prior server or customer service training or experience and seemed as though she had no interest in her job or human interactions. She plopped herself down to take my group's order and she just seemed, over it. As she took orders I learned that the salads all came with meat atop. I order my salad and ask to replace the meat with a beyond burger patty. She essentially short circuited. I told her I don't eat meat and merely want a salad with a fake meat patty on top. She takes a while to search on her system, how to enter all of this highly complex information and we're all just sitting there waiting patiently. Then she informs me that she entered for me, a plain beyond burger with nothing on it, and a side salad. I tell her that's not what I want and she says there's no other way to make it happen for me. My colleague leans over and says "She's charging you for like two things which is coming out to like double what you'd pay for the salad you want". I tell her to please move on taking the rest of the orders so I could recalibrate. I order a veggie burger with onion rings. It was so lame. The patty was burnt. The greens on it were like days old iceburg that were discolored and wilty, and I got 4 onion rings. FOUR! I felt like they were messing with me at this point. I asked a 2nd time for lemon for my water, and she comes back with a giant Styrofoam cup that had 2 pieces of lemon in it. The cup, I kid you not, had bite marks taken out of it! She was so stressful I felt like a minor anxiety attack was brewing, and I don't get anxiety attacks. I had to explain to my colleagues that I usually don't have that hard a time ordering food out. And I know this was merely a wing place in a not so veg friendly part of the country, but if the service was at least, moderately pleasant, I wouldn't be writing this kind of review. read more

Tried to have late lunch today. Our waitress was awful. Took 15 minutes for her to even come to our table. Refused to take our food order with the drinks order. Rude. Messed up the drinks we ordered. The bathrooms were not cleaned at all. went and told them about the women's bathroom. There was bowel movement on the toilet that looked like it had been there for quite some time. I told the manager, he said he would get someone in there very quickly. I was there for over just about 2 hours. I went back into the bathroom, just to find the same thing still there. Cold Spot, which is settled in a town that's substantially sketchy just a few yards toward the north side, hit the old spot. I placed an order for the chicken taco platter, which also included french fries and good ole' corn. The tacos were a bit underwhelming, but I found a way to taco bout how good they were to my chums across the table. However, the table was stickier than the gum stuck on the bottom of my Vans, so the server graciously put in the elbow grease to be rid of the substance. One of our cups also had a crack in it. The parking lot was as full as my beer belly -- jiggling my way back to my automobile on the way out. I will be back once I finally get out of Intercourse, PA. read more

They're on GrubHub+ and the price on their Wings are fair. So I keep trying them, much to my disappointment. I would say about half of the time my order will be: missing an item, missing several items, or be something other than what I ordered entirely. While GrubHub always does a fantastic job of refunding my money; it's insanely frustrating to not receive the food I was craving. WARNING!!! If you place a to-go order with Cold Spot, check your pick-up order BEFORE you leave the restaurant because if it is WRONG, you will NOT be refunded. You will be SOL. You bear ALL the responsibility of any errors that THEY make. I placed an online order on 10/16/2021 #2886605. We picked up the order and brought it home. We did not get what we ordered AND paid extra for. I called for a resolution and was told I could bring them back, and the restaurant would replace them. We live 20 minutes away from the restaurant. I explained it was their error, so I should not have to return them, they should bring me what I ordered and I would happily give them back the WRONG food they gave me. I had already made the trip there once, and I was not coming back. The person I spoke with said they would not do that, but I could come within a week and get what I had ordered. Again, I could not do that because we were leaving for vacation. She said she would inform the manager and either he or she would call me the next day. I did not receive a call from either one. Four days later, I called the establishment back and was told since I no longer had the food, they would not issue a refund. It takes so little to resolve a conflict with a customer and make things right. Apparently, offering a solution that did not involve ME making another trip there to SHOW them the food, was too much for them. A $30 error on their part has cost them ALL my business and hopefully will make others think twice about patronizing this establishment. read more

Went here yesterday with a buddy from work. To start, they seated us at a disgustingly filthy table. Asked the host 4 times for a wet towel to clean the table, finally brought one to wipe it, she hit and missed half of the filth, I had to use paper towels to actually get the table half ass clean. PLEASE, Do yourself a favor and go right around the corner to "The Bucket". This place is absolutely horrific!!! My husband's dinner was brought out first and the waitress said my wings were on their way. She came out several times to apologize and kept assuring me my wings were in their way. My husband finished his dinner 20 minutes before I finally told the waitress to cancel my order. I know it wasn't her fault, but the manager and kitchen both should've done a better job. The manager never even came out to apologize or offer to comp anything (FTR I would've declined the offer but the gesture would've been nice). The waitress told me the hang up was because a Door Dash order had taken all the wings that were already cooked. So, Door Dash apparently takes priority over in-house customers from whom the wait staff try to please to earn tips. Management and good decisions are clearly lacking at the Cold Spot. read more

Staff is great, service is normally excellent, food is good, however the bone in wings are typically tiny, they are not what you expect from a primarily "wing place", the sauces are delicious but the wings are not worth the price paid for such small, non filling wings. Also many times they are way overcooked due to the small size. Other local establishments serve large meaty bone in wings, not sure why Cold Spot cannot or will not acquire the larger wings. The newly rebuilt Cold Spot has really declined in atmosphere, service, and quality. I used to love the wings, but the last ones I got were undercooked, too fatty, and essentially inedible. When I very politely told the manager there was something wrong with them, he said "that's not what my distributor says, he says I sell too many of them." He then walked away from me. Worst management response I have ever gotten anywhere. The gyros are inconsistent, and the sauce has gotten watered down. Couple all this with a rather blah environment, and no trivia, and this place just isn't the place I used to love. I heard the owner has left it to his sons to run. That may explain a lot. They've lost a lot of my business. I may try it again, but after two mediocre visits post-fire, and that horrible self-absorbed manager, I'm not going out of my way. read more

Jody was our waitress last night and a couple of other times. She does a great job and was very attentive. My party consisted of three of us, and we ate outside because of the pandemic. Luckily the weather was good on this November evening, inside at the bar, it was crowded and no social distancing. They were just closed fir CoVid, so I don't know what they are thinking, The raspberry salad was delicious and HUGE, enough for lunch the next day. My companions had portobello mushroom burgers (meatless) and they declared them to be delicious. The beer selection is very good and the happy hour rates are fantastic. We went to The Cold Spot yesterday evening for dinner. We tried their new tacos which were fabulous and ordered some wings which were great as always. However the waitress was mediocre and needs to learn proper etiquette on waiting tables. When I handed her the bill with our money she asked me "do you need change?" Our bill was $27 and I handed her $40. We are great tippers, but $13 tip? She brings me back a ten and 2 ones, really?? So as we were finishing our drinks and I had left the $10 (because I had no choice unless I asked for change) she says to us "is this for me?" Who does that? Don't most wait until you leave? I just thought the entire situation was uncomfortable and rude. I mean most wait staff says "I'll be right back with your change" instead of "do you need change back?". Had to ask for pita bread to eat with the salad, had no olives or peppers, 2 things that make a Greek salad. The salads here are phenomenal! I personally recommend the Greek Salad. All the salads packed full of greens an' other veggies an' toppings. The Greek has Kalamata Olives & Feta Cheese with a wonderful greek dressing/vinaigrette. The gyros are exceptional as well, with many different options including traditional, buffalo chicken, an' hummus, which is my favorite. The chicken wings are some of the best in the valley. My favorite wing sauce is "wild". They have a wide variety of draft beers, something for everybody. Some of the knocks I have with the Cold Spot, that takes it from 4 t' 3, the service is just ok, they'll nickel & dime ya t' death with chargin' ya for every sauce an' dressing, their accuracy on takeout orders leaves a lot to be desired and is often cold. If this had an option for 10 stars, I would. I ordered our food on the GrubHub site, two hours before they closed (20:56). (2 orders of 18 wings, cheese sticks & fries) GrubHub delayed the order twice. By 10:25, our food still hadn't come and the order was delayed to between 22:50-23:15. I called the store to see what was going on, they said the driver was backed up. GrubHub never gave a reason, or an option to find food elsewhere. One of the restaurant employees offered to bring our order - on her way home. YES - the store had closed and they should have all been gone, but they stayed open and even went out of their way to deliver our food so we wouldn't go hungry. I have eaten here several times, the customer service (nor the food!) have ever disappointed. Always awesome people, and the best food! Great job guys.
