Stopped here after a long hike to to fire tower in beacon where I got to enjoy the westher, sunbathe on a rock and take in the view by the time we made it down we were starving and decided to stop for burgers at this restaurant. I cant tell you if it was my hunger but as I waited on line To get in everyones food looked mouth watering. When my garlic truffle sandwich arrived, it couldnt wait to dig in. It was supper tasty and in good for the price. The truffles fries were supperv. My friend ordered the double double burger(2 4oz burger patties w cheese and onion) and he had no complaints. I dind order cocktails but they looked good and decently priced. Best of all,is PET FRIENDLY. Overall an amazing outdoor sitting experience. Loved it and will definately coming back to try other items from their menu.

We have been here before but not in a while. It's always a nice dining experience. Fast and friendly service. Delicious food. Great location right by the river and train tracks in Cold Spring. Outdoor seating is great when the weather is nice, but there is plenty of indoor seating too. Definitely recommend and hope to make it back there again soon.

Double double burger -- fries. I think I'm in love...

Ok, to be honest -- I've been to the Cold Spring Depot twice, and each time I got the same thing -- so I'm truly giving five stars to the double-double burger, which is one of the best burgers I've ever had! I take that back -- I'm also giving the place five stars because the servers and other team members I encountered were all lovely. I've also gone at non-typical meal hours and noticed there's always a few people there, whether inside or out, enjoying the peace and quiet (until a train comes through and scares the hooey out of you!). Both times I sat, took my time with my burger and soda, read my book and just enjoyed the peace there. Definitely plan to go back -- and maybe next time I'll try something new! (Then again, if it ain't broken...)

Double Double Burger Fish and chips
    Geena K.

It was yummy! I got the fish and chips which came with fries, tartar sauce, goddess greens, and a wedge of lemon -- pro tip is to use the lemon on the salad and dip the fish into the Tabasco before tartar sauce. The acid will cut right through and complement the dish great! Portion of fish wasn't the hugest for $28 but was very crispy! Partner got the double burger which was also good with the fries! Great spot to fill up after the bull hill hike! The surrounding town also has a lot of cute antique and specialty stores!! Things are pricy though. The vibes were elegant with ample outdoor and indoor seating.

I was in town for a day and after spending my morning hiking, I was looking for food and air conditioning. I got that and more from this spot! The staff were so so so kind. The two servers worked in tandem so I was very taken care of. They answered questions, gave recommendations, and never rushed me. The food was very good. I was very full and still wanted to keep eating. I had a delicious burger and crisp beer on a hot summer day! No complaints here!

Loaded garlic hummus with grilled naan

To be frank I did not have high expectations for Cold Spring Depot but they exceeded my expectation! I dined at this restaurant with my mom on Mother's Day and it was busy but was still able to be seated in the outdoor bar area. It was a beautiful sunny day and they have plenty of outdoor seating with shade. The loaded hummus platter inspired and surprised me!!! It had cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers, capers, black olives, feta cheese and a good olive oil served with a buttery naan. I don't know why I've never thought of adding these things to hummus but I will never eat it plain again. My mom had calamari and cherry ancho wings. The bar tender was so sweet, catering and attentive. The whole staff was super nice as well. The food was delicious and will definitely be returning whenever I visit Cold Spring NY. Thank you for the inspiration!!

    Cheesesteak Egg Rolls
    Darren G.

Service here was very friendly and helpful on recommending menu items, plus glad they up on refilling the water often since it was pretty hot outside. For the food the cheesesteak egg rolls were great, plenty of seasoned beef and glad they were not piping hot. Do wish they had more cheese since it was not cheesy. Dipping sauce was on point. For the pasta Luna which is just spaghetti in fra diavolo sauce, good amount of squid and shrimp cooked just right and definitely a right portion of spaghetti. The sauce I will give you could been more spicy, but still great. Do appreciate a portion cup of Parmesan cheese since it's more than most places would just sprinkle on top.

    Nashville Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich
    Carina H.

The Nashville Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich was huge. As soon as I saw the sandwich sitting on someone's table as I walked in, I knew that's what I wanted to order. The scent of the food here did not set me up for disappointment. The chicken was so crispy you could hear it. I personally liked the Nashville hot flavor okay, and it wasn't super spicy. The restaurant had a ton of outdoor seating, including seating next to the train (super cool if you ask me), but it also had a lot of indoor seating. Our larger group of 6 was able to fit comfortably at a table indoors in a section that was decorated to feel like a home. I really have never truly seen a homey restaurant until stepping into this place. I loved the generous serving of fries, and I nearly finished them all despite how full I was.

Decent burger, friendly service, and really spacious interior / exterior. Beer is not bad as well but nothing mind blowing. Would come here for a quick rest / drink but not for anything else in particular, only if you're already in the area.

    Roasted pepper burger
    Cole D.

This place was great for what I needed . after a long day of hiking , and most restaurants closed at eight to nine p.m., this restaurant right by the train station is extremely convenient if you're trying to leave town and quite filling for a reasonable price. We got the double double burger, and the Pueblo burger (I think that's what it was called). Burger is much better than the double double. The double double was just a regular burger. Not much flavor. But the burger with the roasted peppers it was delicious. Quite soggy though and it fell apart. But it's a good messy burger. The fries, we agreed were terrific and by far the biggest strength of the meal. George was extremely kind to us and gave us recommendations for upstate getaways. I really appreciate his service and his kindness.

Solid burger joint! Lots and lots of outdoor seating, great ambiance particularly in spring, summer, fall months. We loved their outdoor patio. Squash salad was a tad overdressed, but perfect toppings and paired insanely well with our burger. I absolutely loved their truffle fries, crunchy exterior and relatively fluffy interior.

We came here for lunch. We initially tried to sit outside but there were a lot of bees/wasps which made it uncomfortable. They kindly re-sat us indoors which was super cozy with a fireplace. The French onion soup was delicious. We also got a burger and upgraded to truffle fries. The fries were my favorite part of the meal. They were super crispy and not too greasy.

Met my godson here today. Very cute bar on the train tracks. Restaurant side has a cozy fireplace that u smell as soon as u walk in. Mostly burger and sandwiches . I had a steak sandwich with broccoli rabe. Sandwich was good but small only 1 slice of meat. But was very tasty Wife had a Reuben sandwich said it was great. Godson ordered a double burger. He said it was awesome. Prices were very reasonable and plenty of parking right outside

We had a party of 10, and thankfully they were able to accommodate us in the very back of the restaurant, which ended up being a great spot for our group. Service was a bit on the slower side, and we would have appreciated a few more check-ins throughout the meal. Nothing terrible, but noticeable--especially with a larger group. If you're gluten-free, just know the options are somewhat limited. That said, I was able to customize the breakfast burrito into a bowl to skip the tortilla, which worked out well and was still satisfying. The table shared the pancakes with cinnamon butter, which were a big hit. The breakfast burrito was also really popular, and a few people ordered the quiche special, which got great feedback as well. One downside is the bathroom situation--there's only one unisex restroom for the entire restaurant, so there was pretty much a line the whole time. Parking is metered street parking with a 4-hour limit, which is manageable but something to keep in mind if you're planning a longer visit. On the plus side, being seated in the back made it quiet enough for us to actually enjoy conversation, which isn't always the case at brunch spots. While the pricing felt a bit high for the overall value, the food and atmosphere made it a worthwhile experience. It's a bit of a drive for me, so not somewhere I'd visit regularly, but it's located in a really cute town with plenty of shops to explore--nice if you want to make a day out of it. Overall, a charming spot with good food and a cozy vibe. I'd come back, just hoping for a bit more attentive service next time.

It's counter service and there was already a bit of a line when we arrived around 7:15am (why were so many people already up and about?! lol). We loved that they had a great variety of options, including many vegetarian options. I went with the egg & cheese sandwich and accidentally ordered it without the greens & sauce (whoops!). However, it was still delicious and satisfying. My husband got the avocado toast which was SUPER filling due to the hummus that was on it. He was only able to finish half of it. We also got a side order of fruit which, to my delight, was a bowl of berries! The fruit is seasonal so the combination might be different depending on what time of year you are visiting. Also, both of our coffees met our standards, which are a bit high these days. So kudos to them on that! The ambiance was absolutely incredible!!! Very well lit with a bright, welcoming atmosphere. After some hand-wringing (I couldn't decide which one to get), I finally settled on an iced strawberry tea with milk foam. I wasn't confident in my order, but all my anxieties allayed at first sip. It was delicious! The boba was soft, the strawberry flavors came through strongly without tasting artificial, and the milk foam added a complex layer of creaminess and saltiness that elevated the drink altogether.
