Brown rice bowl with falafel! Filling and delicious!

I'll open up with a cliche, Butterhead Salad Company fed our souls and bodies. I'm a big eater, it typically takes a lot to fill me up. But when the food is this fresh and flavorful, I'm satisfied easier. The restaurant is about a year old as of July 2024. Modern, clean, nicely decorated. The food is nicely displayed. It had a few tables but we decided to take the food to a nearby riverfront park. (Long Dock is about 5 minutes away) I don't want to neglect the staff, each and every person we encountered was friendly and knowledgeable. They're all engaged in this small business, it's not a chain without quality control. They made the falafel themselves, the dressings etc. We were on our way to my brother and sister in law's house and had our dog with us. One of the staff members made sure the water bowl outside was full and even gave our dog a treat! Now I can't neglect the food. Since I'm a Yelper and I was trying for the first time, I decided to order one too many things. My wife and I each got brown rice bowls and I added a Mediterranean salad with fig balsamic dressing to share. I added falafel to my brown rice bowl instead of a traditional chicken or steak protein. As mentioned earlier, the falafel is made in house and was delicious. The brown rice itself was cooked nicely, they add a green if you want. I had baby spinach, good choice. Then they add red or black beans, plus a choice of six included toppings. I went with all six and they were quality, cilantro was one of the six and it added to the bowl nicely. Topped off with a chipotle ranch squeeze, it was a great bowl! My wife enjoyed her brown rice bowl as well. They were nice enough to divide our extra Mediterranean salad into two bowls for easier sharing. The fig balsamic dressing is awesome! They have top quality arugula and they add delicious stuffed grape leaves and a boatload of other ingredients. Great value and high quality! I washed it all down with their homemade unsweetened tea Arnold Palmer, fantastic! Had their oatmeal raisin cookie for dessert, also delicious! The surrounding area is lucky to have Butterhead Salad Company. I look forward to returning!

Mushfu or tofushroom, something like that salad!

Huge salad, lovely fresh ingredients and nice staff. We had a couple of salads to sit in. Both were very tasty. A little expensive, but you do get a lot of food. They have soups, warm grains bowls too. Would absolutely return! I wanted to try the lobster bisque but had no space

The most beautiful lettuces I've seen. Design your own salad or get one of their specialties. Also hot meals and quinoa bowls. Super friendly service. Enormous portions. A nice addition to new paltz options.

I couldn't wait to dig in. My rugby team ordered delicer as a pregame lunch, and they were the nicest people with the best food.

Front of the restaurant on the north side of Main Street . . . Look for the big head of lettuce!

On Thursday, April 25th, , a friend and I had lunch at Butterhead Salad Company. He had the Cobb Salad and I had their Mediterranean Salad along with a fresh brewed large coffee. Our salads were so fresh that they looked and tasted like fresh picked garden greens! Also, I had grilled chicken (at additional cost) on my salad. I recommend that customers come at 11:30 AM when they first open as they fill up very quickly, (they are a small, quaint restaurant) and the phone gets busy with call-in orders. Besides great salads and coffee, Butterhead Salad Company serves everything in compostable bowls, even their forks! I was so impressed I bought a gift card so he could share Butter head Salad Company with his girlfriend!

Found this cute salad bar place today traveling through. I got the green salad. There were a bunch of items that were included in the $12 and then a bunch of things you could add for more money. My husband got the warm rice bowl- I believe it was $15. Everything was fresh and very tasty.

Generous portions and good flavors, but paying $70+ for 3 takeout salads is absolutely egregious for upstate NY.

It's counter service and there was already a bit of a line when we arrived around 7:15am (why were so many people already up and about?! lol). We loved that they had a great variety of options, including many vegetarian options. I went with the egg & cheese sandwich and accidentally ordered it without the greens & sauce (whoops!). However, it was still delicious and satisfying. My husband got the avocado toast which was SUPER filling due to the hummus that was on it. He was only able to finish half of it. We also got a side order of fruit which, to my delight, was a bowl of berries! The fruit is seasonal so the combination might be different depending on what time of year you are visiting. Also, both of our coffees met our standards, which are a bit high these days. So kudos to them on that! The ambiance was absolutely incredible!!! Very well lit with a bright, welcoming atmosphere. We sat near the back of the restaurant (away from all windows), however we still felt like we were being flooded with sunlight. It was wonderful! Definitely recommend coming here to grab breakfast while visiting Beacon!

Great spot for lunch!…read more My husband and I stopped in on our way back to our Airbnb after a long morning hike. This place is counter service, so we made our way directly to the register to place our order. Upon ordering, we were warned that it would be at least a 30 minute wait until our food was ready due them being short staffed. Although we were hungry, we weren't in a rush and truly appreciated the heads up! I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan sandwich and WOWZA! The sandwich was HUGE! I took a photo of my Gatorade bottle laying next to it for comparison (haha). I hardly ate half of it because it was so filling, however it was definitely delicious. My husband ordered a sandwich of his own (although I can't remember which one) and he was equally pleased. We also ordered a side of tots which were crispy and salty, just how I like them! My husband and I definitely could've shared one sandwich as we both don't eat a lot in one sitting, so this is something to keep in mind if you're reading this before your first visit here!! The weather was absolutely gorgeous so we chose to sit on the front patio. It was such a lovely atmosphere for lunch! Also, because we were sitting outside, they told us to come back in 30 minutes to check if our order was ready because we wouldn't be able to hear them call our name. All in all, a pleasant experience! Would definitely recommend this place for lunch, especially if you're in the mood for sandwiches.

Very colorful interior with bar at the end of the space and an outdoor area. There has been quite a few different vendors over the last five years there. On our last visit we decided to try Nami Yum Yum. We ordered a veggie sushi sandwich ($14) for me, which featured a few veggies with rice wrapped up in soy paper; New York Strip ($25) for him, which was a bowl with steak, roasted potatoes and other things; Sweet Plantains ($6) for the table, with cream and cotija. We both got a Jarritos each. Service was timely. Everything was creative. I never had a sushi sandwich. It tasted pretty good too. I wasn't really feeling well and couldn't enjoy it as much as I intended to, but it was nevertheless yummy and unique. My sandwich came with a side of puffed up chips (I actually don't know what they are called). The plantains were also very good. I am glad we ordered them as a side because it was a good side to eat with our meals. Overall no complaints, I would eat there again.

This seemed…read morelike a great option because it meant that my husband and I could order different meals but still eat them together. There were only 5 different food stalls plus the ice cream stall in the very front, however only 3 of the food stalls were open at 7pm on a Saturday. This is a small town, so I get it, but I was thoroughly surprised at this because of how crowded the entire town had been all weekend (it was truly the perfect weather to be out here!). The taco food stall had some Mac and cheese that I really wanted, but he was so overwhelmed with making a large order with only one person helping him that he literally told me to come back in 30 minutes to place my order. I ended up ordering the Pimento Grilled Cheese Sandwich from the burger place, where the guy (working solo) told me it would take about 30 minutes before it would be ready. We were in no rush, and it was DEFINITELY worth the wait!! The ooey gooey cheese paired with perfectly browned Texas toast satisfied my hunger after a long day of hiking and window shopping. My husband ordered the Paneer Kati Roll + Mango Lassi from the Indian food stall. He liked the roll, however we both decided that the lassi was average at best. Additionally, they served it with ice which was a huge disappointment (**being that my husband is from India, we have standards regarding Indian food). I'm giving 4 stars because the overall atmosphere of this food hall was not the best... Definitely NOT enough seating... They didn't seem to have anyone on staff taking care of the place, so the two tables that were empty when we arrived were extremely dirty (we cleaned one ourselves). They also didn't have napkins readily available and only 2 individual restrooms, despite having a bar in the back. Also, it was SO DARK inside... Scarce lighting which was not very pleasant or welcoming, especially since the sun was shining brightly outside. There is an outdoor patio, which is great, however because the weather was nice it was completely full. Final thoughts: this is a great place to grab lunch or dinner with a group of friends, especially if no one can agree on where to go. There's a variety of options and something for everyone to enjoy!

He will fill you with his wealth of knowledge of Sri Lankan food as well as how his food is pure and wholesome. Food was very good. I had Sri Lankan rice entree specialty dish. Except for the the shrimp tasting like dried shrimp - which I hate with a passion the rest of the dish was pretty good. No complaints from my other guests who enjoyed their meals. The dessert was great. They have both vegetarian (including goat, beef, pork, shrimp, squid, and chicken) and non-vegetarian options. It fell short of five stars for two reasons: 1. the dried shrimp or dried fish taste in the dish (shimp, calamari, and chicken); and 2. the moderately high prices (I can only compare to prices at Indian restaurants in the city, and what people are typically paying for the same portion size at casual sit down restaurants) Since we don't frequent this location often it is a treat to stop by every once in awhile and introduce my friends to it. If you are on a budget and consume large volumes of food to be full, this is most likely a one off or a place you may want to skip. Otherwise, enjoy it. On premise parking lot and seems ADA compliant. It looks like it is in a house, but inside it is comfortable and casual. It appears there is allot more local customers than visitors from out of town. The interior plays tourist information on Sri Lanka while the interior is also decorated in culturally appropriate ascents. We were there on a Saturday for dinner and the space was fairly empty - perhaps two other tables occupied. It is in sort of a remote area outside the main drag of Beacon most are familiar with (not within reasonable walking distance). It's worth a try, especially if you are interested in healthier forms of food (ingredients).
